Description
The present invention relates to a power storage module.
As a conventional power storage module, a so-called bipolar type power storage module having a bipolar electrode having a positive electrode formed on one surface of an electrode plate and a negative electrode formed on the other surface is known (see Patent Document 1). Such a power storage module includes an electrode laminate formed by laminating a plurality of bipolar electrodes via a separator. On the side surface of the electrode laminate, a sealant is provided to seal between the bipolar electrodes adjacent to each other in the lamination direction. The electrolytic solution is housed in the internal space formed by the sealant between the bipolar electrode and the bipolar electrode.
In the above-mentioned power storage module, the internal pressure of the internal space between the bipolar electrodes may increase depending on the usage conditions and the like. Even when the internal pressure rises, the load due to the internal pressure of the internal spaces adjacent to each other in the stacking direction is canceled in the intermediate layer of the electrode laminate. Moreover, since the internal space itself is a small space, deformation of the electrodes is relatively unlikely to occur. On the other hand, unlike the intermediate layer, the electrode located at the laminated end of the electrode laminate (hereinafter referred to as the terminal electrode) does not cancel the load due to the internal pressure in the internal space. Therefore, it is conceivable that the terminal electrode is deformed to the outside in the stacking direction when the internal pressure rises.
When the end electrode is deformed, an excessive stress is applied to the encapsulant, which may break the encapsulant or cause a gap between the encapsulant and the end electrode. Breaking of the encapsulant and formation of a gap between the encapsulant and the terminal electrode can cause leakage of the electrolytic solution to the outside of the electrode laminate. Therefore, a technique for suppressing the deformation of the terminal electrode even when the internal pressure rises is desired.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a power storage module capable of suppressing deformation of the terminal electrode even when the internal pressure rises.
The power storage module according to one aspect of the present invention is provided on the side surface of an electrode laminate in which a plurality of bipolar electrodes are laminated via a separator, and a seal provided on the side surface of the electrode laminate to seal between adjacent bipolar electrodes in the stacking direction. A terminal electrode having a stop body and an electrode plate having one of a positive electrode and a negative electrode formed on a surface facing inward in the stacking direction is arranged at the laminated end of the electrode laminated body. A resin portion that is coupled to the edge portion of the electrode plate at the terminal electrode and has an overhanging portion that projects from the edge of the electrode plate in a direction orthogonal to the laminating direction of the electrode laminate is included, and in the resin portion, the overhanging portion includes a resin portion. In the corresponding region, a resin film made of a resin material having a higher tensile strength than the resin material constituting the resin portion is arranged.
In this power storage module, the resin film is arranged in the region corresponding to the overhanging portion in the resin portion. The resin material constituting the resin film has a higher tensile strength than the resin material constituting the resin portion. Therefore, since the resin portion is reinforced by the resin film, deformation of the terminal electrode to which the resin portion is bonded can be suppressed even when the internal pressure of the power storage module rises. By suppressing the deformation of the terminal electrode, it is possible to suppress breakage of the resin portion and formation of a gap between the resin portion and the terminal electrode, and it is possible to prevent leakage of the electrolytic solution to the outside of the electrode laminate.
The resin film may be arranged over a region where the resin portion and the electrode plate overlap. As a result, the resin portion can be more sufficiently reinforced by the resin film.
The resin film may be arranged on the surface of the resin portion facing outward in the stacking direction. In this case, it is possible to select a material that does not have resistance to the electrolytic solution as the constituent material of the resin film.
The resin film may be arranged on the surface of the resin portion facing inward in the stacking direction. Even in such a configuration, the resin portion can be firmly reinforced by the resin film.
A resin portion may be bonded to the terminal electrode having the electrode plate on which the positive electrode is formed via a resin film. In this case, in the terminal electrode on the positive electrode side, the formation of a gap between the resin portion and the terminal electrode can be suitably suppressed.
The bonding surface of the electrode plate with the resin portion may be a roughened plated surface. By forming the roughened plated surface, the bonding strength between the electrode plate and the resin portion can be improved. Therefore, the formation of a gap between the resin portion and the terminal electrode can be more preferably suppressed.
According to the present invention, deformation of the terminal electrode can be suppressed even when the internal pressure rises.
Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the power storage module will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.
[Configuration of power storage device]
FIG. 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing an embodiment of a power storage device. The power storage device 1 shown in the figure is used as a battery for various vehicles such as forklifts, hybrid vehicles, and electric vehicles. The power storage device 1 includes a power
The power
In the power
Inside each
The restraint member 3 is composed of a pair of end plates 8 and 8 that sandwich the power

Next, the configuration of the
The
In the
The

The sealing
The
In connecting the

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the
As shown in FIG. 3, the
In the
As shown in FIG. 4, the
Further, in the
In the

FIG. 5 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a main part showing the state of the terminal electrode on the negative electrode side when the internal pressure of the power storage module according to the comparative example rises. Further, FIG. 6 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of a main part showing the state of the terminal electrode on the positive electrode side when the internal pressure of the power storage module according to the comparative example rises. In the
On the other hand, unlike the intermediate layer, the negative
On the other hand, in the
By suppressing the deformation of the negative
Further, in the
The
Further, in the
Further, in the
Further, in the
[Modification example]
The present invention is not limited to the above embodiment. For example, in the above embodiment, in the
Similarly, in the
The strength of the
Further, for example, in the above embodiment, in the
Similarly, in the
Further, in the example of FIG. 10, the
