図1は、本発明の第1の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料の一例である繊維含有材料10を示す概略断面図である。繊維含有材料10は、図1で概略断面図が示されているが、面外方向から見た平面図における形状は、いかなる形状でもよい。繊維含有材料10は、図1に示すように、母材12と、面外補強糸14と、を含む。母材12は、平面に沿う方向である面内方向に延びる材料であり、面内方向に延びる強化繊維12fを含む。母材12は、これに限定されず、母材12の平面に沿う方向と交差する方向である面外方向に湾曲部を有していても良く、段差部を有していてもよい。面外補強糸14は、母材12の内部に、母材12の平面に沿う方向と交差する方向である面外方向に沿って延びて形成されている。面外補強糸14は、母材12の平面に沿う方向と交差する方向の厚さと同じ長さである。繊維含有材料10は、図1では、面外補強糸14が母材12の平面に沿う方向において均一に分布しているが、本発明はこれに限定されることなく、面外補強糸14が不均一に分布していてもよい。繊維含有材料10は、例えば、母材12に湾曲部又は段差部がある場合、母材12の応力のかかる場所である湾曲部又は段差部に面外補強糸14が高密度に分布していることが好ましい。面外補強糸14は、母材12の平面に沿う方向と直交することが好ましい。繊維含有材料10は、母材12の平面に沿う方向と交差する面外補強糸14のみを有し、母材12の平面に沿う方向、すなわち母材12の平面に平行な方向の補強糸を有さないことが好ましい。
図7は、第2の実施形態において、母材12が孔明けされる前の状態の概略断面図である。図8は、第2の実施形態において、母材12が孔明け及び面外補強糸14となる挿入繊維28が挿入されている状態の概略断面図である。図9は、第2の実施形態において、母材12に挿入された面外補強糸14となる挿入繊維28が切断されている状態の概略断面図である。本発明の第2の実施形態に係る面外補強糸の挿入方法は、第1の実施形態に係る面外補強糸の挿入方法と同様に、第1の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料10における面外補強糸14を挿入する方法である。本発明の第2の実施形態に係る面外補強糸の挿入方法は、第1の実施形態に係る面外補強糸の挿入方法において、孔明け部22で孔明け工程S14を施し、繊維片射出部24で面外補強糸挿入工程S16を施すことに代えて、挿入針26、切断部32a及び切断部32bで孔明け工程S14及び面外補強糸挿入工程S16を施すように変更し、さらに面外補強糸挿入工程S16の後に切断工程が追加されたものである。第2の実施形態の説明では、第1の実施形態と同様の構成に第1の実施形態と同一の符号群を用い、その詳細な説明を省略する。
図10は、本発明の第3の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料の一例である繊維含有材料40を示す概略断面図である。第3の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料40は、図10に示すように、母材12と、面外補強糸44と、を含む。すなわち、第3の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料40は、第1の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料10において、面外補強糸14を面外補強糸44に変更したものである。第3の実施形態の説明では、第1の実施形態と同様の構成に第1の実施形態と同一の符号群を用い、その詳細な説明を省略する。
図13は、本発明の第4の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料の一例である繊維含有材料70を示す概略断面図である。第4の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料70は、図13に示すように、母材12と、面外補強糸74と、を含む。すなわち、第4の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料70は、第1の実施形態に係る繊維含有材料10において、面外補強糸14を面外補強糸74に変更したものである。第4の実施形態の説明では、第1の実施形態と同様の構成に第1の実施形態と同一の符号群を用い、その詳細な説明を省略する。

Claims (7)
- 平面に沿う方向に延びる強化繊維を含む母材を準備し、前記母材の少なくとも一方の面に保護シートを設ける準備工程と、
準備した前記母材及び前記保護シートの内部に、前記平面に沿う方向と交差する方向のみに面外補強糸を挿入する面外補強糸挿入工程と、
前記面外補強糸挿入工程の後に、前記保護シートを除去するシート除去工程と、
を含み、
前記準備工程で前記保護シートの厚さを制御することで、前記母材に挿入される前記面外補強糸が前記母材から突き出す長さを制御することを特徴とする面外補強糸の挿入方法。 - 前記準備工程の後、前記面外補強糸挿入工程の前に、前記母材に、前記平面に沿う方向と交差する方向に、前記面外補強糸を挿入するための孔を明ける孔明け工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の面外補強糸の挿入方法。
- 前記孔明け工程は、前記母材に対し、前記平面に沿う方向と交差する方向にレーザを照射する孔明け部によって行われ、
前記面外補強糸挿入工程は、前記母材に対し、前記平面に沿う方向と交差する方向に、前記面外補強糸となる繊維片を射出する繊維片射出部によって行われることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の面外補強糸の挿入方法。 - 前記孔明け工程は、前記母材に挿入される挿入針によって行われ、
前記面外補強糸挿入工程は、前記母材に挿入される挿入繊維が穴に通された前記挿入針によって行われ、
前記面外補強糸挿入工程の後に、前記母材に挿入された前記挿入繊維を前記母材の両面側において切断して、切断後の前記挿入繊維を前記面外補強糸とする切断工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の面外補強糸の挿入方法。 - 請求項1から請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の面外補強糸の挿入方法により、前記強化繊維を含む前記母材の内部に前記面外補強糸が形成された繊維含有材料を製造することを特徴とする繊維含有材料の製造方法。
- 前記強化繊維に樹脂を含浸させる含浸工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の繊維含有材料の製造方法。
- 前記面外補強糸挿入工程より後、かつ、前記含浸工程より後に、前記樹脂を硬化させる硬化工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の繊維含有材料の製造方法。
