Description
Claims (10)
- 内部表面及び開口部を有し且つ放射性流体を収容するための中空の内部チャンバを備える本体を形成するステップと、
前記チャンバの内部表面の少なくとも一部を研磨して、前記内部表面の研磨部分を形成するステップと、
前記開口部を介して前記チャンバ内に挿入可能なプラグを備えるキャップであって、前記プラグには、溝が設けられ、前記開口部を密封するために、前記本体に脱着可能なように前記キャップを形成するステップと、
前記プラグの溝にOリングを挿入することによってOリングをキャップに結合させるステップと、
前記プラグが前記開口部内に完全に収容され、且つOリングが前記チャンバの前記内部表面の研磨部分に押しつけられるまで、前記プラグを前記チャンバの開口部に挿入し、流体密封を形成するステップと、
を含む、放射性流体の容器を製造する方法であって、
前記本体及びキャップは、実質的に放射線遮蔽材料を含む材料によって構成され、
前記チャンバの内部表面の少なくとも一部を研磨して、前記内部表面の研磨部分を形成するステップは、
研磨工具の少なくとも一部が前記チャンバの内部表面に接触するように、前記開口部を通して前記研磨工具を前記チャンバ内に挿入するステップと、
前記本体に関して前記研磨工具を回転させるステップと、
を含み、
前記研磨工具は、テーパ付きの外部表面を含む、方法。 - 前記本体を形成するステップは、前記本体を鋳造する工程を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記キャップを形成するステップは、前記キャップを鋳造する工程を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記研磨工具は、S7工具鋼を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記放射線遮蔽材料は、鉛を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記放射線遮蔽材料は、実質的に鉛及びアンチモンを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記プラグが前記内部表面の研磨部分で完全に密封された状態で、前記容器の内部の圧力が前記容器の外部の圧力より7〜15psi高い場合、前記キャップは、前記本体に結合された状態が維持される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記溝は、周方向溝を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記放射性流体は、放射性ガスを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記研磨部分は、テーパ付きの研磨部分を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
