Description
積層造形機械は、材料の層を積み重ねることにより3D(三次元)物体を製作する。幾つかの積層造形機械は一般に、「3Dプリンタ」と呼ばれる。3Dプリンタ及び他の積層造形機械は、物体のCAD(コンピュータ支援設計)モデル又は他のデジタル表現を物理的物体へ変換することを可能にする。モデルデータは、物体へ形成されるべき構築材料の層(単数または複数)のその部分をそれぞれ画定するスライスへ処理され得る。
幾つかの積層造形プロセスにおいて、固形物体を形成するために粉末状構築材料の粒子を融合するために、熱が使用される。構築材料を融合(溶融)するための熱は、例えば物体のスライスに基づいたパターンで粉末状構築材料の薄層に液状融剤を塗布し、次いでパターン形成された領域を光または他の融合エネルギーにさらす(暴露する)ことにより、生成され得る。融剤のエネルギー吸収成分が、エネルギーを吸収し、構築材料を焼結させる、融解する又は融合することに役立つ。プロセスは、層毎に、スライス毎に繰り返されて物体を完成する。場合によっては、パターン形成および融合するための作業領域上に粉末が層状に積み重ねられる前に、粉末状構築材料を予熱することが望ましい。しかしながら、高温の粉末、特にその軟化温度近くまで予熱されている粉末を移送および一定量供給することは、困難である可能性がある。
Claims (15)
- 積層造形用の粉末状構築材料供給システムであって、そのシステムが、
供給デッキと、
前記供給デッキ上に粉末状構築材料のリボンを一定量供給するために前記供給デッキの上を移動可能なディスペンサと、
粉末状構築材料を前記リボンから前記供給デッキに隣接した作業領域にわたって広げるためのスプレッダとを含み、
前記ディスペンサは、前記供給デッキの上を移動可能であり且つ粉末状構築材料を保持するための容器、粉末状構築材料が前記容器から一定量供給されることができる、前記容器の底部に沿った開口、粉末状構築材料を前記供給デッキ上にリボンの状態で層状に積み重ねるための、前記底部にある計量ブレード、及び前記容器が前記供給デッキの上を移動している際に前記容器の下の前記供給デッキの表面を一掃するために前記底部にワイパブレードを含む、システム。 - 前記ディスペンサは、粉末状構築材料で前記作業領域を完全に覆うのに十分な量の粉末状構築材料のリボンを一定量供給するために、前記供給デッキの上を移動可能である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記ディスペンサは、前記計量ブレードと前記供給デッキとの間のギャップに対応する厚さで粉末状構築材料の前記リボンを一定量供給するために前記供給デッキの上を移動可能であり、前記ギャップは、前記容器が前記供給デッキの上で静止した場合に、前記容器から前記供給デッキへの粉末状構築材料の流れを阻止するのに十分小さい、請求項1又は2に記載のシステム。
- 前記計量ブレードは、前記ギャップのサイズを調整するように移動可能である、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記供給デッキは、前記容器が前記供給デッキの上で静止している際に前記容器から前記供給デッキ上への粉末状構築材料の流れを遮断することができ、前記容器が前記供給デッキの上を移動している際に前記容器から前記供給デッキ上への粉末状構築材料の流れを遮断しない、請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載のシステム。
- 前記リボンの幅対高さの比が、少なくとも15:1である、請求項1〜5の何れか1項に記載のシステム。
- 積層造形のために粉末状構築材料を一定量供給するための品物であって、
粉末状構築材料を保持し、作業領域に隣接する供給デッキの上を移動可能な容器と、
粉末状構築材料が前記容器から前記供給デッキ上に一定量供給され得る、前記容器の底部に沿った開口と、
前記容器が前記供給デッキの上を移動している際に、前記容器から前記容器の下の前記供給デッキ上に一定量供給された粉末状構築材料を粉末状構築材料のリボンの状態で層状に積み重ねるための、前記開口に沿った計量ブレードと、
前記容器が前記供給デッキの上を移動している際に、前記容器の下の前記供給デッキを一掃するためのワイパブレードとを含む、品物。 - 前記ワイパブレードは、前記容器の下の前記供給デッキに接触するための露出した平面状エッジを画定する前記容器の一方の側部を形成し、
前記計量ブレードが、前記計量ブレードのエッジと前記容器の下の前記供給デッキとの間にギャップを形成するために前記ワイパブレードにより形成された前記平面状エッジからオフセットした露出エッジで前記容器の他方の側部を形成する、請求項7に記載の品物。 - 前記ギャップは、前記容器が前記供給デッキの上で静止した場合に、前記開口を介して前記容器の下の前記供給デッキ上への粉末状構築材料の流れを阻止するのに十分小さい、請求項8に記載の品物。
- 前記計量ブレード及び前記ワイパブレードが互いに平行に向けられる、請求項7〜9の何れか1項に記載の品物。
- 前記計量ブレードは、前記容器が第1の方向に移動している場合に、後続のエッジを形成し、
前記ワイパブレードは、前記容器が第1の方向に移動している場合に、先行するエッジを形成し、
前記ワイパブレードは、前記容器が第1の方向と反対の第2の方向に移動している場合に、後続のエッジを形成し、
前記計量ブレードは、前記容器が前記第2の方向に移動している場合に、先行するエッジを形成する、請求項7〜10の何れか1項に記載の品物。 - 前記容器が前記第1の方向に移動している場合に、前記粉末状構築材料のリボンが前記供給デッキ上に一定量供給され、前記容器が前記第2の方向に移動している場合に、前記供給デッキ上に残っている粉末状構築材料が前記容器に収集される、請求項11に記載の品物。
- 前記計量ブレードが、前記リボンの表面を粗面化するための凸凹のエッジを含む、請求項7〜12の何れか1項に記載の品物。
- 前記リボンの表面を粗面化するための凸凹のエッジが、前記リボンの表面に溝を付けるための歯を含む、請求項13に記載の品物。
- 前記リボンの幅対高さの比が、少なくとも15:1である、請求項7〜14の何れか1項に記載の品物。
