Description
Claims (15)
- 流体材料の液滴を噴射する噴射吐出モジュールであって、
流体ボアを有するモジュール本体と、
前記モジュール本体に結合されるノズル部材であって、前記モジュール本体の前記流体ボア及び吐出通路に連通する流体リザーバーを有するノズル部材と、
主ガイドボアと、前記流体ボアに流体連通する内部流体空間と、複数の平坦な側面と、を有するガイド部材であって、各該複数の平坦な側面は、該流体ボアと該内部流体空間との間の独立した流路を画成している、ガイド部材と、
前記モジュール本体内で往復運動するように取り付けられるプランジャーと、を備え、該プランジャーは、前記主ガイドボアを通って前記内部流体空間内に延び、該プランジャーの遠位端部が該ノズル部材の前記流体リザーバーから離間する完全後退位置と、前記遠位端部が該ノズル部材の前記流体リザーバー内に位置するが前記ノズル部材には接触しない完全伸張位置との間で可動であり、該プランジャーが前記完全後退位置から前記完全伸張位置に移動することにより、前記流体リザーバーから前記吐出通路を通して前記流体材料の液滴が噴射される、噴射吐出モジュール。 - 前記ノズル部材と前記ガイド部材とは別個の構成部材である、請求項1に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 前記ノズル部材と前記ガイド部材とは、一つの一体型構成部材として形成されている、請求項1に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 前記プランジャーは円筒形の遠位部分を更に有し、前記ガイド部材の前記主ガイドボア及び前記流体リザーバーは、前記円筒形の遠位部分を受ける整合された円筒形ボアを更に有する、請求項1に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 内部に流体材料を収容する流体ボアを有するモジュール本体と、前記流体ボア内のプランジャーと、内部での往復運動のために前記プランジャーを受ける主ガイドボアと、前記流体ボアに流体連通する内部流体空間と、複数の平坦な側面と、を有するガイド部材であって、各該複数の平坦な側面は、該流体ボアと該内部流体空間との間の独立した流路を画成している、ガイド部材と、前記流体ボア及び吐出通路に連通する流体リザーバーを有するノズル部材と、を備える噴射吐出モジュールから流体材料の液滴を噴射する方法であって、
前記流体ボアから、前記ガイド部材によって画定される各前記独立した流路を通して前記流体リザーバーに前記流体材料を方向付けることによって、前記流体リザーバーに前記流体材料を充填することと、
前記プランジャーを、該プランジャーの遠位端部が前記ノズル部材の前記流体リザーバーから離間していて前記ガイド部材の前記内部流体空間内に位置する完全後退位置から完全伸張位置に移動させ、それにより前記プランジャーの遠位端部を前記ノズル部材の前記流体リザーバー内に延出させることと、
前記プランジャーの前記遠位端部が前記ノズル部材に接触する前に、前記プランジャーを停止することと、
前記プランジャーが前記完全後退位置から前記完全伸張位置に移動することで、前記流体リザーバー内の前記流体材料の液滴を前記吐出通路を通して該吐出通路から噴射することと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記プランジャーに結合して前記モジュール本体内で前記プランジャーを往復運動させるアクチュエーターを更に備える、請求項1に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 前記アクチュエーターは、空気アクチュエーター、電気アクチュエーター、圧電アクチュエーター又は機械的アクチュエーターである、請求項6に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 前記モジュール本体の前記流体ボア内において前記プランジャーに沿う第1及び第2のシールアセンブリを更に備える、請求項1に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 前記ノズル部材の流体リザーバーは前記ガイド部材の前記内部流体空間と流体連通している、請求項1に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 前記ガイド部材は、三つの前記平坦な側面を有するほぼ三角形の形状の部材である、請求項1に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 前記ガイド部材の各前記平坦な側面は、前記ガイド部材の前記内部流体空間に開口する開口部を含む、請求項1に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 前記流体材料はホットメルト接着剤である、請求項1に記載の噴射吐出モジュール。
- 前記プランジャーが前記完全後退位置から前記完全伸張位置に移動することは、前記プランジャーに結合したアクチュエーターを用いて前記プランジャーを移動させることからなる、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記流体材料はホットメルト接着剤である、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記ガイド部材の各前記平坦な側面は、前記ガイド部材の前記内部流体空間に開口する開口部を含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
