図10は、実験開始時の状態を示すものであり、吐出口13を下向きにして袋体3を倒立姿勢に保ち、紐状体4が袋体3から毛細管現象で送出した水(芳香液2)をペットボトル28の皿で受け止めた。
図11は、実験開始時から105時間が経過した状態を示している。図10から図11に至る過程において、水(芳香液2)中に外気による気泡が発生したかを観察した。
図10から図11に至る過程において、水(芳香液2)が袋体3から徐々に紐状体4の毛細管現象で送出され、ペットボトル28中の水嵩が徐々に増え、図11の状態では、ペットボトル28内の水嵩が180mlに達した。この過程において、袋体3内の水(芳香液2)中に気泡の発生は見られず、ペットボトル28中の水嵩が増えるに従って、袋体3内の体積変化が生じ、その体積変化に応じて内容積が縮小する状態を観察できた。
図10から図11に至る過程を観察した結果に基づいて、袋体3が紐状体4の毛細管現象による芳香液2の送出に伴う体積変化に応じて内容積が縮小する状態を観察し、且つ袋体3内の水(芳香液2)中での気泡の発生が確認できなかったので、袋体3内には外気が侵入せずに紐状体4の毛細管現象で袋体3から水(芳香液2)が送出することが実証できたとの結論を得た。
以上の結論から、本発明の実施形態に係る放香発生装置は所期の動作をして、芳香液から匂い成分を揮散するとの実証を得た。
