Description
The present invention relates to a consumable material cartridge which has a main body for holding a consumable material and which is mounted on an apparatus.
A liquid cartridge is known that includes a main body that stores a liquid and a substrate (for example, a rigid substrate or a flexible substrate) arranged on the upper surface of the main body (Patent Document 1). The substrate has electrodes on its surface. Notches and holes are formed in the substrate. A pair of protrusions is formed on the upper surface of the main body. The substrate is located on the upper surface of the main body with the pair of protrusions penetrating the notch and the hole. The substrate is fixed to the main body by thermally melting the tips of the pair of protrusions.
In the above liquid cartridge, the notch and the hole are formed at one end of the substrate in the predetermined direction. That is, one end of the substrate in the predetermined direction is fixed to the main body, while the other end of the substrate in the predetermined direction is not fixed to the main body. Therefore, the other end of the substrate in the predetermined direction may be flipped up and peeled off from the main body.
An object of the present invention is to provide a consumable material cartridge in which the substrate is hard to be peeled off from the main body.
(1) The consumable material cartridge according to the present invention is mounted on the device. The consumable material cartridge includes a main body that holds the consumable material, a substrate, and an adhesive that bonds the main body and the substrate. The main body includes a support base and a first contact portion. The substrate connects a surface facing the first direction, a back surface parallel to the surface and supported by the support, an electrode formed on the surface, the front surface and the back surface, and facing each other. A first side surface and a second side surface. At least a part of the first side surface is exposed to the outside of the consumable material cartridge. The second side surface is in contact with the first contact portion. The adhesive includes an end portion near a first side of a boundary between the first side surface and the back surface in an overlapping region where the support base and the back surface overlap with each other in the viewpoint along the first direction. Located in one area. It is not located in the second area different from the first area in the overlapping area.
Usually, a portion of the substrate exposed to the outside of the consumable material cartridge is more likely to receive a force from the outside than a portion not exposed (for example, a portion adhered to the consumable material cartridge). Therefore, the portion of the substrate exposed to the outside of the
(2) The adhesive is located in a third region of the overlapping region that includes an end of the boundary between the second side surface and the back surface near the second side. The area of the first region is larger than the area of the third region.
According to the above configuration, the substrate is bonded to the support base in the two regions, the first region and the third region. Therefore, as compared with the case where the substrate is adhered to only one of the first region and the third region, the substrate can be firmly adhered to the support base. Further, according to the above configuration, the area of the first region is larger than the area of the third region. That is, it is possible to increase the adhesive area of the portion that is easily subjected to the force from the outside and firmly bond the portion, while narrowing the adhesive area of the portion that is less likely to receive the force from the outside and use a small amount of adhesive.
(3) The substrate includes an integrated circuit and a potting portion that projects on the back surface in a second direction opposite to the first direction and accommodates the integrated circuit. The main body includes a concave portion that is recessed from the support base in the second direction and into which a part of the potting portion enters. The second region includes a fourth region in which the back surface and the concave portion overlap with each other in a viewpoint along the first direction.
The potting section contains an integrated circuit. Therefore, when the adhesive is in contact with the potting portion, the potting portion is deformed due to contraction or expansion of the adhesive, and the integrated circuit is also affected. On the other hand, according to the above configuration, the potting portion is not in contact with the adhesive. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the potting portion from being deformed by the adhesive. Further, since the adhesive is not in contact with the periphery of the potting portion, it is possible to prevent the substrate around the potting portion from being deformed.
(4) The substrate includes an integrated circuit and a potting portion that projects in the second direction opposite to the first direction on the back surface and accommodates the integrated circuit. The main body includes a concave portion that is recessed from the support base in the second direction and into which a part of the potting portion enters. The second region passes through a point closest to the first side in the fourth region where the back surface and the recess overlap with each other in the viewpoint along the first direction and is parallel to the first side. And a fifth region between the line and a second imaginary line that passes through a point closest to the second side in the fourth region and is parallel to the second side.
According to the above configuration, similarly to (3), it is possible to reduce the possibility of damage to the substrate and prevent deformation of the substrate.
(5) For example, the first region is a region closer to the first side than the fourth region.
(6) For example, the adhesive is located in a third region including an end portion of the boundary between the second side surface and the back surface near the second side in the overlapping region, and the third region is The area is closer to the second side than the fourth area.
(7) The adhesive is a photocurable resin. The recess extends in the third direction along the back surface. From the viewpoint along the third direction, at least one of both ends of the recess along the third direction is exposed to the outside of the consumable material cartridge.
According to the above configuration, it is possible to irradiate the adhesive with light through the end of the exposed recess. Thereby, the adhesive can be cured.
(8) The substrate includes a third side surface that connects the front surface and the back surface and intersects the first side surface and the second side surface. The main body includes a second contact portion that contacts the third side surface.
According to the above configuration, the substrate can be positioned in the two directions intersecting with each other by the first contact portion and the second contact portion. Since the two directions intersecting with each other are parallel to the surface, the orientation and position of the electrodes are appropriately maintained in the two directions.
(9) The first region is a boundary between the second side surface and the back surface at both end points of a portion of the third side of the boundary between the third side surface and the back surface that contacts the second contact portion. Is a region closer to the first side than a third virtual line that passes through the end point farther from the second side and is parallel to the second side.
According to the above configuration, the first region is separated from the first contact portion and the second contact portion. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the adhesive contacting the back surface in the first region from protruding from between the substrate and the first contact portion and the second contact portion.
(10) The substrate includes a fourth side surface that is located opposite to the third side surface with respect to the electrode and is not adjacent to the third side surface. The first region includes an end portion of the boundary between the fourth side surface and the back surface, which is closer to the fourth side, of the overlapping region.
A portion of the substrate that is not in contact with the first contact portion and the second contact portion is not protected by the first contact portion and the second contact portion, and thus is easily peeled off from the support base. According to the above configuration, it is possible to firmly bond the end portions of the substrate, which are not in contact with the first contact portion and the second contact portion, near the first side and the fourth side. This makes it difficult for the substrate to peel off from the support.
(11) The overlapping area is rectangular. The first region is a region at both ends of the overlapping region in the direction along the first side. The second region is a region including an end portion of the boundary between the second side surface and the back surface near the second side in the overlapping region, and is a region of both end portions in a direction along the second side. is there.
According to the above configuration, the substrate can be firmly adhered to the support base with a small amount of adhesive.
(12) For example, the main body further includes a supply port that communicates the inside and the outside of the main body and through which a consumable material supplied to the device passes. The supply port is a direction in which the consumer goods cartridge is attached to the device, is orthogonal to an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the first direction, and is closer to the orthogonal direction than a center position in the orthogonal direction. It is located away. The substrate is located away from the center position in the orthogonal direction and is located away from the supply port in the first direction.
According to the present invention, it is possible to prevent the substrate from peeling off from the main body.

[Outline of Device 10]
As shown in FIG. 1, an

[Cartridge mounting case 101]
As shown in FIG. 1, the
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
The
The
The
[Needle 102]
As shown in FIG. 1, the
In the process of inserting the
[Lock pin 145]
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The
[Electrode unit 160]
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The

[Consumable material cartridge 30]

[Internal frame 35]
As shown in FIG. 1, the
The
The consumable material in the
The

[Rear cover 31]
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The
The
[Front cover 32]
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, in the
The

[Substrate 64]
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The
As shown in FIG. 5, the
The
The

基板64は、例えば、COB(チップオンボード)である。
The
As shown in FIG. 5A, the

The
As shown in FIG. 3, when the

[Support 130]
The
As shown in FIG. 4, the
The
A
As shown in FIG. 4, the
As shown in FIG. 4, the

Hereinafter, as shown in FIG. 6, the
Further, in the following, the overlapping area will be described by being divided into a
The
The
The

[How to attach the substrate 64]
Hereinafter, a method of attaching the
First, the worker applies the
Next, the operator irradiates the adhesive 120, 121 applied to the
[Effect]
Usually, the portion of the
Further, according to the above-described embodiment, the
The
Further, according to the above-described embodiment, it is possible to irradiate the adhesive with light through the exposed ends of the
Further, according to the above-described embodiment, the
[Modification]
In the above description, the
Further, in the above description, as shown in FIG. 6, the
In addition, in the following description, in FIGS. 7 and 8, the
For example, as shown in FIG. 7A, the
Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 7B, the
Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 7C, the
According to the configuration shown in FIG. 7C, the
Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 8A, the
A portion of the
Note that, in FIG. 8A, the
Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 8C, the
According to the configuration shown in FIG. 8C, the
Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 8D, the
Further, in the above description, the
In the above description, the
Further, in the above description, the consumable material is not limited to ink. For example, instead of the ink, a pretreatment liquid that is ejected onto the paper prior to the ink during printing may be used as the consumable material. Further, for example, instead of a liquid such as ink, powder such as toner may be used as a consumable material, or a tape used in a label printer or the like may be used as a consumable material.
