胃瘻を介して小腸に留置されるチューブ本体と、チューブ本体の基端部に設けられて体表に係止される体表係止部と、
前記チューブ本体の基端と先端との途中の外周面に設けられて胃の内壁に係止される可撓性のバンパー部とを備える小腸留置チューブを胃瘻に挿入する際に用いられる小腸留置チューブの挿入補助具であって、
中空円筒状の把持部と、該把持部の先端から突出し前記チューブ本体の基端側から該チューブ本体に挿入される中空円筒状の挿入部とを備え、
前記挿入部の先端部には、該挿入部を前記チューブ本体に挿入した状態で外方に向かって変形自在で変形することで該チューブ本体の内壁に圧接する圧接部が設けられ、
前記挿入部は、前記チューブ本体に挿入されたときに、前記圧接部の少なくとも一部が前記バンパー部よりも先端側に達する長さを備えることを特徴とする小腸留置チューブの挿入補助具。
