- 前記表示パネルと前記第1のカラーフィルタ層との間に第2のカラーフィルタ層を含む、請求項1乃至6の何れか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 前記第2のカラーフィルタ層は、前記表示パネルの前記出力領域から出力される光が、前記第1のカラーフィルタ層の次の側方にオフセットした対応する第1のカラーフィルタ部分に到達する前に除去されるように配置される減色フィルタ層を含む、請求項8に記載のデバイス。
- 前記第2のカラーフィルタ層は、前記第1のカラーフィルタ層の前記第1のカラーフィルタ部分のピッチの半分だけ、前記第1のカラーフィルタ層からオフセットされている、請求項9に記載のデバイス。
- 前記表示パネルから離間されているレンズ配列を含み、前記レンズ配列の各レンズは、前記第1のカラーフィルタ層の1つの第1のカラーフィルタ部分を有する、請求項1乃至10の何れか一項に記載のデバイス。
- 秘密モード及び公開モードを提供するように表示デバイスを制御する方法であって、前記表示デバイスは、表示パネルと、前記表示パネルから離間され、前記表示パネルから光を受け取り、少なくとも3色の第1のカラーフィルタ部分の配列を含む第1のカラーフィルタ層と、を含み、前記方法は、
中心ビューイングゾーンのみを提供する秘密モードにおいて、出力領域ごとに光出力色の異なる当該出力領域を生成するように前記表示パネルを制御するステップと、
中心ビューイングゾーン及び側方ビューイングゾーンを提供する公開モードにおいて、すべての前記出力領域にすべての光出力色を含む光を生成するように前記表示パネルを制御するステップと、
を含み、
前記出力領域は、前記第1のカラーフィルタ層の対応する第1のカラーフィルタ部分と位置合わせされている、方法。 - 前記秘密モードにおいて、異なる色のストライプとして異なる光出力色の前記出力領域を同時に提供するようにバックライトを制御するステップと、
前記公開モードにおいて、白色出力を提供するように前記バックライトを制御するステップと、
を含む、請求項12に記載の方法。 - 様々な色出力を順に提供するようにバックライトを制御するステップと、
前記秘密モードにおいて、前記バックライトのシーケンスと同期して、出力サブピクセルのストライプを提供するように前記サブピクセルの配列を制御するステップと、

他のサブピクセルは非出力状態に設定され、これにより、異なる光出力色の前記出力領域が順に提供される、請求項12に記載の方法。 - 前記表示パネルの前記出力領域からの光を、前記第1のカラーフィルタ層の次の側方にオフセットした対応する第1のカラーフィルタ部分に到達する前に、除去するように、第2の減色カラーフィルタ層を使用するステップを含む、請求項12乃至14の何れか一項に記載の方法。
