‐ 先細りしたねじ山を夫々備える二つのサブ部間に完全ねじ山を備えるサブ部を夫々備える二つの円錐ねじ、
‐ 末端の二つのねじ山間の中間部の横断方向の環状面によって構成されるストップ面、
‐ 一方は自由な終端部の外/内周面上に、他方は管状要素の本体に隣接する外/内周面上に存在する二つのメタル‐メタル封止面。

‐ 第一の係合段階において、ピッチP1を有するねじ山のスタビングフランクが、接続部のねじ山のスタビングフランクに対して押圧される。
‐ 接触段階において、リング(42)が、内側の環状面(28)に接触させられて、変形させられる(曲げられる)。
‐ 変形段階において、ピッチP1を有するねじ山のロードフランク(74)が、接続部のねじ山のロードフランク(77)と接触する。実際、リング(42)の変形によって、接続部の下流側に向かってプロテクタの本体が押され、次に、プロテクタの移動が、接続部のねじ山と歯合するプロテクタのねじ山によって制限される。内側の環状面(28)は、プロテクタの螺着中に曲がることによって変形され続ける。

前記雄型または雌型末端は、少なくとも一つの雄ねじ(4;25)または雌ねじ(17;26)を夫々備え、環状の外表面(27)および環状の内表面(28)が、前記少なくとも一つのねじによって隔てられ、
前記プロテクタ(10)は、 前記雄型末端のねじ山または前記雌型末端のねじ山と螺着によって協働するように構成されるピッチP1を有する少なくとも一つのねじ山を含む少なくとも一つの第一のねじ部(38)を含む少なくとも一つのねじ山(21)を含み、
前記プロテクタ(10)は、さらに、前記ピッチP1と異なるピッチP2を有する少なくとも一つのねじ山を含む第二のねじ部(39)を含み、
前記ピッチP2は、P2の値が次式:

によって決定される値Amax未満である、請求項1に記載のプロテクタ。 - Aの値は0.2よりも大きい、請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載のプロテクタ。
- Aの値は、0.05と0.8との間である、請求項1に記載のプロテクタ。
- 前記第二のねじ部(39)は、ピッチP2を有する1〜3個のねじ山を含み、前記第一のねじ部(38)は、ピッチP1を有する2〜5個のねじ山を含む、請求項1〜5の何れか1項に記載のプロテクタ。
- 雌型末端のプロテクタであり、前記第二のねじ部(39)は、当該プロテクタの本体上で第一のねじ部(38)の上流側に位置する、請求項1〜6の何れか1項に記載のプロテクタ。
- 前記第二のねじ部(39)の少なくとも一つのねじ山は、当該プロテクタが管状の継手要素の末端に螺着されたときに、管状の継手要素の末端の雄ねじ(4;25)または雌ねじ(26)の少なくとも一つの不完全なねじ山と接触している、請求項1〜7の何れか1項に記載のプロテクタ。
- 本体(20)と、雄型末端(3)または雌型末端(2)の環状の内表面(5、28)および環状の外表面(27)と夫々第一および第二のシールを成す内側シール(32)および外側シール(33)と、を含む、請求項1〜8の何れか1項に記載のプロテクタ。
- 内側シール(32)および/または外側シール(33)は可撓性である、請求項9に記載のプロテクタ。
- 可撓性シールは、可撓性の環状リンクである、請求項10に記載のプロテクタ。
- 二つのシールは可撓性でありかつ可撓性の環状リングである、請求項11に記載のプロテクタ。
- 第二の雌ねじまたは雄ねじと、P2と異なりかつP1と異なるピッチP3を有する少なくとも一つのねじ山を含む第三のねじ部と、を含む、請求項1に記載のプロテクタ。
