Description
Claims (8)
- 血管部位から閉塞を除去するための塞栓除去装置であって、
径方向に萎んだ送達形態と径方向に拡張した展開形態とを有する管状体を具え、前記管状体は、前記径方向に拡張した展開形態にあるときに複数の開口を画定する複数の相互連結した第1のストラットと、前記第1のストラットに連結した複数の第2のストラットとを具え、
前記第2のストラットは、整列形態から非整列形態へと移行し又は移行可能であり、前記整列形態では、前記第2のストラットがそれぞれの第1のストラットと整列又は実質的に整列し、前記非整列形態では、前記第2のストラットが前記第1のストラットから離れて、少なくとも部分的に、拡張した管状体の開口の中に及び/又は開口を横切って延び、
前記管状体が閉塞近傍の標的血管部位に送達され、かつ血管閉塞の中に、又は血管閉塞を通って径方向に拡張することにより、前記径方向に萎んだ送達形態から前記径方向に拡張した展開形態に移行するとき又は移行可能とされるときに、前記第2のストラットは、前記整列形態から前記非整列形態に移行又は移行することができ、それにより、前記第1のストラットと第2のストラットとの間に又はそれらストラット内に血管閉塞又はその一部を捕捉又は収容することを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。 - 請求項1に記載の塞栓除去装置において、前記管状体が径方向に萎んだ送達形態にあるときに、前記第2のストラットは前記第1のストラット上で拘束され、前記管状体が径方向に拡張した展開形態にあるときに、又は前記管状体が径方向に萎んだ送達形態から径方向に拡張した展開形態に移行する間に、前記第2のストラットは前記整列形態から前記非整列形態に自動移行するように解放されることを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。
- 請求項2に記載の塞栓除去装置において、前記第2のストラットは機械的構造により前記第1のストラット上で拘束され、前記管状体が径方向に萎んだ送達形態から径方向に拡張した展開形態に移行する間に、前記第2のストラットは前記機械的構造から解放され、それにより前記第1のストラットから解放されることを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。
- 請求項2に記載の塞栓除去装置において、前記管状体が血管部位で展開されるときに溶解して前記第2のストラットを前記第1のストラットから解放する接着剤により、前記第2のストラットが前記第1のストラット上で拘束されることを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。
- 請求項2に記載の塞栓除去装置において、前記第2のストラットは、前記管状体が血管部位で展開されるときに電気分解で溶解可能なそれぞれのリンクにより前記第1のストラット上で拘束されることを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。
- 請求項1に記載の塞栓除去装置において、前記管状体が血管部位で展開されるときに、前記第2のストラットは温度の変化により、又は前記管状体に電流を流すことにより、前記整列形態から前記非整列形態に自動移行することを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。
- 請求項1に記載の塞栓除去装置において、それぞれの第1のストラット及び第2のストラットの異なる物理的特性により、前記第2のストラットは、前記第1のストラットが径方向に萎んだ送達形態から径方向に拡張した展開形態に自動移行するよりも遅く、前記整列形態から前記非整列形態に自動移行することを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。
- 請求項7に記載の塞栓除去装置において、前記第2のストラットは前記第1のストラットより厚いことを特徴とする塞栓除去装置。
