Claims (20)
- 方法であって、
反応器内に、時間依存性プロセス中にモニターされる1つまたは複数の化学種を導入し、
1つまたは複数の検出器を使用して、前記1つまたは複数の化学種に対する1つまたは複数の特性変化を時間間隔にわたって検出し、
前記1つまたは複数の検出器から、前記1つまたは複数の化学種に対する前記1つまたは複数の特性変化に関連するデータの連続的なストリームを前記時間間隔中に受信し、
プロセスコントローラを使用して、前記データの連続的なストリームを数学関数に当てはめて、将来の時点における前記1つまたは複数の化学種の1つまたは複数の特性を予測し、そして
前記プロセスコントローラによって、前記将来の時点における1つまたは複数の特性の予測に基づいて1つまたは複数のプロセス決定を行うこと
を含む方法。 - 前記1つまたは複数のプロセス決定は、前記時間依存性プロセスの終了、前記反応器の内容物の回収、同一反応器または異なる反応器における後続の反応または処理段階への進行のいずれか1つを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記方法はさらに、前記データの連続的なストリームを関数に当てはめて、前記重合反応の第1の重合反応生成物と第2の重合反応生成物との間のグレード転換を予測することを含み、前記時間依存性プロセスは重合反応であり、
前記1つまたは複数の検出器の1つは粘度計であり、そして
予測された前記グレード転換は前記時間間隔中に前記粘度計によって検出された還元粘度測定値に由来する、
請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記予測されたグレード転換は還元粘度測定値に由来しかつオフライン・ムーニー粘度測定値に相関する、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記1つまたは複数の特性変化は前記重合反応中に形成されるポリマー生成物の粘度における変化を含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記1つまたは複数の特性変化は前記重合反応中に形成されるポリマー生成物の分子量における変化を含む、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記方法はさらに、前記プロセスコントローラを使用して、前記時間依存性プロセスの1つまたは複数の条件を変更して、前記将来の時点で前記化学種の予測される前記1つまたは複数の特性を変えることを含み、
前記1つまたは複数の条件は反応器圧力、反応器温度、反応かき混ぜ速度、反応撹拌速度、反応物濃度、試薬濃度、または前記反応器への試薬流速のいずれか1つを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記1つまたは複数の特性変化は前記1つまたは複数の化学種の濃度、分子量、多分散性、還元粘度、固有粘度、および化学組成のうちのいずれか1つにおける変化を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記方法はさらに、残留化学種濃度に関して1つまたは複数の特定のレベルに達するのに要する期間を予測することを含み、
前記プロセスコントローラを使用して、前記時間依存性プロセスの1つまたは複数の条件を変更して、将来の時点における予測される前記残留化学種濃度を変えることを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。 - 前記方法は重合反応の自動連続オンライン・モニタリング(ACOMP)システムを使用して実施され、前記ACOMPシステムは、前記反応器、前記1つまたは複数の検出器および前記プロセスコントローラを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 装置であって、
時間依存性プロセスの1つまたは複数の化学種を含有するための反応器と、
ある量の前記1つまたは複数の化学種を前記反応器から自動的かつ連続的に抽出するための抽出ポンプと、
抽出された前記1つまたは複数の化学種の特性変化を測定しかつ時間間隔中の前記1つまたは複数の化学種に対する1つまたは複数の特性変化に関連するデータの連続ストリームを生成する1つまたは複数の検出器と、そして
前記データの連続ストリームを数学関数に当てはめて、将来の時点における前記1つまたは複数の化学種の1つまたは複数の特性を予測しかつ前記将来の時点における1つまたは複数の特性の予測に基づいて1つまたは複数のプロセス決定を行うように構成されるプロセスコントローラとを含む、装置。 - 前記1つまたは複数のプロセス決定は前記時間依存性プロセスの終了、前記反応器の内容物の回収、同一反応器または異なる反応器における後続の反応または処理段階への進行のいずれか1つを含む、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセスコントローラはさらに、前記時間依存性プロセスの1つまたは複数の条件における変更を指示して、前記将来の時点における前記化学種の予測された前記1つまたは複数の特性を変えるように構成される、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記1つまたは複数の条件は反応器圧力、反応器温度、反応かき混ぜ速度、反応攪拌速度、反応物濃度、試薬濃度、または試薬流速のいずれか1つを含む、請求項13に記載の装置。
- 前記1つまたは複数の特性変化は前記1つまたは複数の化学種の濃度における変化を含む、請求項11に記載の装置。

- 前記1つまたは複数の検出器はUV吸収、赤外線吸収、ラマン散乱、蛍光、導電率、還元粘度、動的光散乱、静的光散乱、ミー散乱、蒸発光散乱、屈折率検出、線形複屈折、円複屈折、線形二色性、円二色性、赤外線検出、NMR、および偏光分析のいずれか1つまたは複数を測定するように構成される、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記反応器、前記抽出器ポンプ、前記1つまたは複数の検出器、および前記プロセスコントローラのうちの1つまたは複数は、重合反応の自動連続オンライン・モニタリング(ACOMP)システムに組み込まれる、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記装置はさらに、前記1つまたは複数の抽出された内容物を希釈および/または調整する手段を含む、請求項11に記載の装置。
- 前記反応器、前記抽出器ポンプ、前記1つまたは複数の検出器、前記プロセスコントローラ、および前記希釈および/または調整する手段の1つまたは複数は、重合反応の自動連続オンライン・モニタリング(ACOMP)システムに組み込まれる、請求項19に記載の装置。
