Description
Claims (11)
- アクチュエータ部材であって、
当該アクチュエータ部材は、当該アクチュエータ部材に亘るキャパシタンスを示し、
当該アクチュエータ部材は、
印加電界の大きさに依存して変形するように構成される電気活性ポリマ材料と、
当該アクチュエータ部材の変形によって引き起こされる前記キャパシタンスの変化を少なくとも部分的に相殺するように構成されるキャパシタンス補償手段とを含み、
前記キャパシタンス補償手段は、前記電気活性ポリマ材料に対して別個の層を形成する補償材料又は前記電気活性ポリマ材料との混合物又は複合材を形成する補償材料を含み、前記別個の層を形成する前記補償材料は、印加電界の増大する大きさ、印加電荷の増大、及び当該アクチュエータ部材の機械的変形のうちの1つ又はそれよりも多くに応答して、前記別個の層に亘るキャパシタンスの減少を示す、材料であり、或いは前記混合物又は複合材中の前記補償材料は、印加電界の増大する大きさ、印加電荷の増大、及び当該アクチュエータ部材の機械的変形のうちの1つ又はそれよりも多くに応答して、実効比誘電率の減少を示す、材料である、
アクチュエータ部材。 - 前記別個の層の前記補償材料は、キャパシタンスの減少をもたらす実効比誘電率の減少を示す材料である、請求項1に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
- 前記キャパシタンス補償手段は、前記補償材料で形成される複数の粒子を含み、該粒子は、前記電気活性ポリマ材料内に埋め込まれる、請求項2に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
- 前記キャパシタンス補償手段は、前記別個の層の代わりに又は前記別個の層に加えて、前記電気活性ポリマ材料の少なくとも一部分を被覆する、補償材料で形成される被膜の形態の層を含む、請求項1乃至3のうちのいずれか1項に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
- 当該アクチュエータ部材は、少なくとも、電気活性ポリマ材料の層と、少なくとも、前記別個の層を形成する、前記補償材料を含む層とを含む、請求項1乃至4のうちのいずれか1項に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
- 当該アクチュエータ部材は、1つ又はそれよりも多くの前記電気活性ポリマ材料の層と、前記別個の層に代わる1つ又はそれよりも多くの前記電気活性ポリマ材料との混合物又は複合材の層とを含み、各電気活性ポリマ材料の層及び各混合物又は複合材の層は、交互に配置される、請求項1乃至5のうちのいずれか1項に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
- 当該アクチュエータ部材の少なくとも一部分の比誘電率を恒久的に変更するように構成される誘電率バイアス材料を更に含み、該誘電率バイアス材料は、前記電気活性ポリマ材料及び/又は前記補償材料に組み合わせられ、或いは前記電気活性ポリマ材料の層、前記別個の層、及び/又は前記別個の層に代わる電気活性ポリマ材料との混合物若しくは複合材の層の間に前記誘電率バイアス材料の層として提供される、請求項1乃至6のうちのいずれか1項に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
- 前記別個の層は、少なくとも第1の層及び第2の層を含み、前記第1の層及び前記第2の層の各々は、前記キャパシタンスの減少を示すように構成される、請求項1乃至3のうちのいずれか1項に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
- 前記第1の層及び前記第2の層の各々は、異なる特定範囲の電界強度、印加電荷値、又は機械的変形に亘ってのみ、前記減少するキャパシタンスを示すように構成される、請求項8に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
- 前記少なくとも第1の層及び第2の層のうちの1つ又はそれよりも多くは、当該アクチュエータ部材の少なくとも一部分の比誘電率を恒久的に変更するように構成される誘電率バイアス材料を含む、請求項9に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
- 前記第1の層及び前記第2の層の各々は、印加電界の異なる特定範囲の周波数に亘ってのみ、前記減少するキャパシタンスを示すように構成される、請求項8のうちのいずれか1項に記載のアクチュエータ部材。
