硬化させた成形プリフォーム(300)を化学気相浸透に供して、セラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)が15%〜35%の繊維体積分率を有するように、多孔質マトリックス骨格を高密度化するステップ(130)と
を含み、
硬化させた前記プリフォーム(300)の前記単峰性細孔径分布のメジアンが、1μm〜30μmである、方法。 - セラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)が、15%〜30%の繊維体積分率を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- マトリックス前駆体が、ポリカルボシラン及び/又はポリシラザン系化学物質である、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- セラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)が6ksi(41.4MPa)を超える層間引張強度を有する、請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記細孔形成剤が、ポリエチレン、ポリアミド、ナイロン、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリスチレン、ポリ酢酸ビニル及び/又はポリビニルアルコール系粉体を含み、
前記成形プリフォームが、炭化ケイ素粒子、炭化ホウ素粒子、酸化物粒子及び/又はこれらの組合せを含み、
前記繊維トウが炭化ケイ素繊維トウを含む、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。 - 化学気相浸透が部分的化学気相浸透を含み、部分的化学気相浸透高密度化セラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)を溶融浸透に供するステップをさらに含む、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- セラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)が5%〜20%の気孔率を有する、請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- セラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)が、第1の繊維体積百分率を有する1以上の第1部分及び第1の繊維体積百分率とは異なる第2の繊維体積百分率を有する1以上の第2部分を含む、請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 繊維トウが炭化ケイ素繊維トウを含む、請求項1乃至請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- セラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)を形成する方法(100)であって、
繊維トウの一方向性アレイ(20)のプリプレグテープ積層材、セラミックマトリックスを形成するためのマトリックス前駆体及び細孔形成剤を含む成形プリフォーム(200)を提供するステップ(110)と、
成形プリフォーム(200)を硬化させ、成形プリフォーム(200)が繊維トウの一方向性アレイ(20)及び1μm〜30μmのメジアン細孔径の単峰性細孔径分布を有する多孔質セラミックマトリックス骨格を含むようにマトリックス前駆体を熱分解して、細孔形成剤をバーンアウトするステップ(120)と、
硬化させた成形プリフォーム(300)をガス状セラミックによる化学気相浸透、部分的化学気相浸透及び溶融浸透又は部分的化学気相浸透、スラリーキャスティング及び溶融浸透に供して、セラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)が15%〜35%の繊維体積分率を有するように、多孔質セラミックマトリックス骨格を高密度化するステップ(130)と
を含む方法。 - メジアンが1μm〜30μmである単峰性細孔径分布を有するマトリックス中に繊維トウの複数の一方向性アレイを含み、15%〜35%の繊維体積分率を有する、セラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)。
- 15%〜30%の繊維体積分率を有する、請求項11に記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)。
- 6ksi(41.4MPa)を超える層間引張強度を有する、請求項11又は請求項12に記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)。
- 第1の繊維体積百分率を有する1以上の第1部分及び第1の繊維体積百分率とは異なる第2の繊維体積百分率を有する1以上の第2部分を含む、請求項11乃至請求項13のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)。
- タービン部品又はタービン部品の修復を含む、請求項11乃至請求項14のいずれか1項に記載のセラミックマトリックス複合材物品(10)。
