Claims (15)
- 画像面から離れた収束スペース中で入射イメージを上記画像面上に投影するために使われる液晶(LC)レンズであって、
上記LCレンズが、内部を通過する入射光を変調するための一対のLCセルを有し、各LCセルが複屈折性であって入射光を直交する偏光に分割し、上記LCレンズが上記偏光に直交する光軸を有し、各LC層が、上記光軸から対応するオフセット距離分、横向きに不均一な位相遅延変調された光をオフセットし、
該LCレンズが、眼レンズ代替物として使用するための、または、非偏光入射光フィールドの眼網膜上への収束を増加させるための増強装置として使用するための調整可能視界矯正液晶(LC)光学装置を含み、この調整可能LC光学装置が、眼の光軸と実質的に同じ光軸を有し、
該LCレンズが、四層の液晶を有し、各層が対応するLC層の主ダイレクタに対してプレチルト角を与えるために少なくとも1つの配向表面層を有し、各層の上記ダイレクタが、他の一層のダイレクタに対立し、他の二層のダイレクタに直交し、
上記層のそれぞれにより引き起こされる複屈折依存性変位が、逆のダイレクタを有する上記他の層の1つにより引き起こされる複屈折依存性変位によって解消される、液晶(LC)レンズ。 - 請求項1に記載のLCレンズであって、逆のダイレクタを有する各対のLC層が、
それぞれ逆配向の配向層で挟まれた一対のLC層と
一対の逆配向の配向層で挟まれた一対の膜分離されたLC層の1つである、LCレンズ。 - 請求項1に記載のLCレンズであって、上記光学装置が調整可能LCレンズであり、上記光学装置が、
各LC層中に空間変調されたLCダイレクタ分布を有し、各LCセルが対応する入射偏光を上記画像面上に収束させ、
上記配向層に接して備えられた電場制御システムを有し、上記電場制御システムが、
少なくとも1つの実質的に電圧振幅と周波数で調整可能なLCレンズ制御を与えるために上記LC層に変調された電場を印加する、LCレンズ。 - 請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載のLCレンズであって、上記レンズが、眼内植設用レンズの内部に封入されている、LCレンズ。
- 請求項1に記載のLCレンズであって、上記調整可能視界矯正液晶(LC)光学装置は、電場制御システムを含み、上記電場制御システムが、上記LC層を挟む一対の平坦な透明電極と、上記LC層の間でLCレンズ口径を規定する少なくとも1つの孔パターン電極を含む、LCレンズ。
- 請求項5に記載のLCレンズであって、上記少なくとも1つの孔パターン電極が、少なくとも1つの孔パターンリング電極を含む、LCレンズ。
- 請求項5に記載のLCレンズであって、上記少なくとも1つの孔パターン電極が、少なくとも2つの孔パターンリング電極を含む、LCレンズ。
- 請求項3および5ないし7のいずれかに記載のLCレンズであって、上記電場制御システムがさらに、シート抵抗、導電性、および周波数依存性の少なくとも1つを有する弱導電層を含む、LCレンズ。
- 請求項3および5ないし8のいずれかに記載のLCレンズであって、上記電場制御システムがさらに、
少なくとも1つの浮遊電極と
弱導電性材料の空間的に不均一な層との少なくとも1つを、
一対の上記孔パターン電極間に、また少なくとも部分的に上記口径の上に有する、LCレンズ。 - 請求項9に記載のLCレンズであって、上記浮遊電極が、層、導電性ディスク、導電性ドーナツ、および導電性リング形の電極の1つである、LCレンズ。
- 請求項6または7に記載のLCレンズであって、各孔パターンリング電極が、上記光軸から対応する距離分だけオフセットされ、対応する中心異常光線と中心常光線の1つを上記光軸の上に投影する、LCレンズ。
- 請求項5ないし7および11のいずれかに記載のLCレンズであって、各孔パターン電極が対応する電極口径を規定し、各電極口径が、有効口径から少なくとも上記オフセット距離の二乗の合計の平方根の分だけ拡大されて、有効口径サイズを与える、LCレンズ。
- 請求項6、7および11のいずれかに記載のLCレンズであって、各孔パターンリング電極が、入射光に非対称な位相プロファイルを与えるために分割されており、中心異常光線と中心常光線の対応する1つを上記光軸上に投影するために、対応するLCセルの上記の分割された孔パターンリング電極の少なくとも1つのセグメントが電気的にバイアスされている、LCレンズ。
- 請求項5ないし7および11ないし13のいずれかに記載のLCレンズであって、上記孔パターン電極のそれぞれと上記透明電極のそれぞれが独立して駆動され、同一駆動信号で1つの孔パターン電極と1つの透明電極を選択的に駆動させてバイポーラ動作を与える、LCレンズ。
- 請求項5ないし7および11ないし14のいずれかに記載のLCレンズであって、入射光に非対称な位相プロファイルを与えるための上記孔パターン電極の口径中にある複数の電気的に浮遊分割された同心円状導電性リングが、制御された重ね合わせとそれに電気的に接触している弱導電性材料の1つを用いて容量的に結合し、対応する中心異常光線と中心常光線の1つを上記光軸の上に投影するため、同心円状リングセグメントの少なくとも1つのセクタが電気的にバイアスされている、LCレンズ。
