Description
図1は、本発明の第1実施例における排気ガス浄化装置の概略図を示している。第1実施例における内燃機関の排気ガス浄化装置は、機関本体1と、機関本体1の排気ガス流通方向の下流において排気通路内に配置されたNOx吸蔵還元型触媒2とを備える。さらに本実施例の排気ガス浄化装置は、NOx吸蔵還元型触媒2に配置された温度センサ11と、NOx吸蔵還元型触媒2の下流において排気通路に配置されたNOxセンサ12と、を備える。

ここで、Tは浄化タイマーTの値であり、TendはNOx浄化処理を終了するまでの処理時間(終了時間)である。
次に本発明の第2実施例について説明する。本発明の第2実施例は、排気ガスを再循環させることによりCO比率を制御する点において、第1実施例と相違する。以下では、第1実施例と説明が重複する点は省略する。
経過時間(浄化タイマーTの値)と目標EGR率との関係を示すマップは、経過時間が長くなるほど目標EGR率が徐々に連続的に高くなるように設定される。本実施例においては、浄化タイマーTが0である時には、EGR率が0となるようにEGR率が設定される。また、浄化タイマーTがTendである時には、CO比率があらかじめ定められた値(例えば6)になるように、目標EGR率が設定される。

Claims (5)
- NOx吸蔵還元型触媒と、
前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒に炭化水素及び一酸化炭素を含む還元剤を供給すると共に前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒に供給される炭化水素に対する一酸化炭素の比率であるCO比率を調整可能な還元剤供給・調整装置と、
前記還元剤供給・調整装置を制御する制御装置と、
を備えた内燃機関の排気ガス浄化装置であって、
前記制御装置は、
所定の浄化処理実行条件が成立したときには、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒に還元剤を供給するように前記還元剤供給・調整装置を制御して、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒に吸蔵されているNOxを浄化するNOx浄化処理を行い、
前記NOx浄化処理では、前記NOx浄化処理を開始したときの方が前記NOx浄化処理を終了するときよりも、前記CO比率が低くなるように前記還元剤供給・調整装置を制御する、
内燃機関の排気ガス浄化装置。 - 前記還元剤供給・調整装置は、前記内燃機関の燃焼室内に燃料を噴射するインジェクタを備え、
前記NOx浄化処理中において、前記インジェクタは、内燃機関の1サイクル中に、最も多くの燃料を噴射する第1噴射と、前記第1噴射の後に該第1噴射よりも少量の燃料を噴射する第2噴射とを行う多段燃料噴射を行うことで、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒に還元剤を供給し、
前記制御装置は、前記NOx浄化処理において、前記NOx浄化処理を開始したときの方が前記NOx浄化処理を終了するときよりも、前記第2噴射の噴射時期を遅くするように前記インジェクタを制御する、
請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気ガス浄化装置。 - 前記還元剤供給・調整装置は、前記内燃機関の燃焼室内に燃料を噴射するインジェクタと、排気ガスの一部を再び燃焼室に供給する排気再循環装置とを備え、
前記NOx浄化処理中において、前記インジェクタは、内燃機関の1サイクル中に、最も多くの燃料を噴射する第1噴射と、前記第1噴射の後に前記第1噴射よりも少量の燃料を噴射する第2噴射を行う多段燃料噴射を行うことで、前記NOx吸蔵還元型触媒に還元剤を供給し、
前記制御装置は、
前記NOx浄化処理中において、前記NOx浄化処理を開始したときの方が前記NOx浄化処理を終了するときよりも、前記燃焼室に供給された吸気ガスの吸気量に対する再び燃焼室に供給された排気量の比率である排気循環率が低くなるように、前記排気再循環装置を制御する、
請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気ガス浄化装置。 - 前記制御装置は、
前記NOx浄化処理中において、前記NOx浄化処理を開始してから経過した時間が長くなるにつれて、前記CO比率が高くなるように前記CO比率を調整する、
請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気ガス浄化装置。 - 前記制御装置は、
前記NOx浄化処理中において、前記NOx浄化処理を開始してから経過した時間が長くなるにつれて、炭化水素及び一酸化炭素の合計量が増大されるように前記排気再循環装置を制御する、
請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の内燃機関の排気ガス浄化装置。
