米国特許第8,450,255号、Sumiejskiら、2013年5月28日は、極性基または原子(例えば、窒素原子)に結合している少なくとも2つのヒドロカルビル基を含む摩擦調整剤を開示しており、この摩擦調整剤は、(a)少なくとも1つのカルボン酸もしくは等価物と少なくとも1つのアミノアルコールとの反応生成物、(b)少なくとも1つのカルボン酸もしくは等価物と、少なくとも1つのポリアミンとの反応生成物、(c)式R1R2N−C(X)R3によって表されるアミドもしくはチオアミド(式中、Xは、OもしくはSであり、R1およびR2は、それぞれ独立に、少なくとも約6個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基であり、R3は、1〜約6個の炭素原子を有するヒドロキシアルキル基であるか、もしくはヒドロキシアルキル基を、そのヒドロキシル基を介してアシル化剤で縮合することによって形成された基である)、(d)2つのヒドロカルビル基、およびポリヒドロキシルを含有するアルキル基もしくはポリヒドロキシルを含有するアルコキシアルキル基を含有する少なくとも1つの第三級アミン、あるいは(e)(a)、(b)、(c)および(d)の2つまたは2つより多くの混合物である。
一実施形態において、例えば、以下の項目が提供される。
(項目1)
(a)潤滑粘度の油と、
(b)約12〜約22個または12〜20個または12〜18個または12〜16個または12〜14個または14〜20個または14〜18個または14〜16個の炭素原子を有する少なくとも2つのヒドロカルビル基を含有する、約0.05〜約3.0重量パーセント、または0.1〜2%、または0.3〜1%、または約0.7%のN置換シュウ酸ビスアミドまたはアミド−エステルと、
(c)約0.05〜約3.0重量パーセント、または0.1〜2%、または0.3〜1%、または約0.7%の式R 1 R 2 N−C(X)R 3 によって表されるアミドまたはチオアミド(式中、Xは、OまたはSであり、R 1 およびR 2 は、それぞれ独立に、少なくとも約6個または8〜24個または10〜18個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基であり、R 3 は、1〜約6個の炭素原子を有するヒドロキシアルキル基であるか、または前記ヒドロキシアルキル基を、そのヒドロキシル基を介してアシル化剤で縮合することによって形成された基である)と
を含む、組成物。
(項目2)
(d)1種または1種より多くのスクシンイミド分散剤を含む、約1〜約6重量パーセントまたは2〜5.5パーセントまたは3〜5パーセントの分散剤成分をさらに含み、前記分散剤成分が、約0.05〜約1重量パーセントまたは0.1〜0.7パーセントまたは0.2〜0.6パーセントのホウ素を含有し、約40〜約100、または40〜90、または45〜70、または50〜68のTBN(オイルフリー)を有する、項目1に記載の組成物。
(項目3)
前記N置換シュウ酸ビスアミドまたはアミドエステルが、式
(式中、R 1 、R 2 、R 3 、およびR 4 の少なくとも2つは、独立に、約12〜約22個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基を含む基であり、前記基R 1 、R 2 、R 3 、およびR 4 の2つまでは、独立に、水素であるか、または10個もしくは10個未満の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基である)
によって表されるビスアミドを含む、項目1または項目2に記載の組成物。
(項目4)
前記N置換シュウ酸ビスアミドまたはアミドエステルが、式
(式中、各R 1 およびR 2 は、独立に、約12〜約18個の炭素原子を有するアルキル基である)
によって表されるビスアミドを含む、項目1または2のいずれかに記載の組成物。
(項目5)
前記N置換シュウ酸ビスアミドまたはアミド−エステルが、式
(式中、R 1 およびR 2 は、独立に、約12〜約22個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基であり、R 10 は、1〜約22個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基である)
によって表されるアミド−エステルを含む、項目1または2のいずれかに記載の組成物。
(項目6)
(b)前記N置換シュウ酸ビスアミドまたはアミドエステルが、式
(式中、R 5 およびR 7 のそれぞれは、独立に、約12〜約22個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基であり、R 6 およびR 8 のそれぞれは、独立に、水素であるか、または1〜約22個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基である)
によって表されるビスアミドを含む、項目1から3のいずれかに記載の組成物。
(項目7)
(c)前記アミドまたはチオアミドにおいて、R 1 およびR 2 のそれぞれが、独立に、2−エチルヘキシル基または約10〜約18個の炭素原子を有する基である、項目1から6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
(項目8)
(c)前記アミドまたはチオアミドが、アミドである、項目1から7のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
(項目9)
(c)前記アミドまたはチオアミドが、ジ−ココアルキルアミン部分または(2−エチルヘキシル)(水素化タロー)アミン部分を含む置換されている窒素部分R 1 R 2 N−、およびグリコール酸部分(glycolic moiety)を含むカルボキシ部分−C(O)R 3 を含む、項目1から8のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
(項目10)
(d)前記分散剤成分が、約0.1〜約1重量パーセントまたは0.3〜0.8重量パーセントまたは0.5〜0.7重量パーセントのホウ素含量、および約50〜約100または70〜90のTBN(オイルフリー)を有する、第1のホウ素化スクシンイミド分散剤成分と、約0.1重量パーセント未満のホウ素含量、および約40〜約80または40〜70または50〜60のTBN(オイルフリー)を有する第2のスクシンイミド分散剤成分とを含む、項目2から9のいずれかに記載の組成物。
(項目11)
前記第2のスクシンイミド分散剤成分が、ホウ素を含まない、項目10に記載の組成物。
(項目12)
(d)前記分散剤成分が、テレフタル酸または無機リン化合物またはジメルカプトチアジアゾール化合物のうちの少なくとも1つと反応する少なくとも1種のスクシンイミド分散剤を含む、項目2から11のいずれかに記載の組成物。
(項目13)
成分(b)または成分(c)のもの以外の、清浄剤、酸化防止剤、腐食防止剤、シール膨潤剤、摩耗防止剤、有機ホウ酸エステル、有機ホウ酸塩、消泡剤、粘度向上剤、または摩擦調整剤のうちの少なくとも1つをさらに含む、項目1から12のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
(項目14)
項目1から13のいずれか一項に記載の前記成分を混合することによって調製される組成物。
(項目15)
潤滑されたクラッチを有するデバイスを潤滑する方法であって、前記デバイスに、項目1から14のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を供給することを含む、方法。
(項目16)
前記デバイスが、オートマチックトランスミッションを含む、項目15に記載の方法。

およびそれらの2種または2種より多くの混合物。
− 炭化水素置換基、すなわち脂肪族(例えば、アルキルまたはアルケニル)、脂環式(例えば、シクロアルキル、シクロアルケニル)置換基、ならびに芳香族で置換されている芳香族置換基、脂肪族で置換されている芳香族置換基および脂環式で置換されている芳香族置換基、ならびに環が分子の別の部分によって完成する環式置換基(例えば、2つの置換基が一緒になって環を形成する);
− 置換されている炭化水素置換基、すなわち本発明の文脈では、置換基(例えば、ハロ(特にクロロおよびフルオロ)、ヒドロキシ、アルコキシ、メルカプト、アルキルメルカプト、ニトロ、ニトロソおよびスルホキシ)の主に炭化水素の性質を変えない、非炭化水素基を含有する置換基;
− ヘテロ置換基、すなわち本発明の文脈では、主に炭化水素の特徴を有するが、それ以外では炭素原子から構成される環または鎖中に炭素以外を含有し、ピリジル、フリル、チエニルおよびイミダゾリルとしての置換基を包含する置換基。ヘテロ原子には、硫黄、酸素および窒素が含まれる。一般に、2個以下または1個以下のヘテロ原子が、ヒドロカルビル基の炭素原子10個ごとに存在し、典型的に、ヒドロカルビル基にはヘテロ原子は存在しない。
[(R8O)(R9O)P(=S)−S−]2−Zn
によって表すことができ、式中、R8およびR9は、独立に、3〜20個の炭素原子、または3〜16個もしくは3〜12個の炭素原子を有するアルキル、シクロアルキル、アラルキルまたはアルカリール基などのヒドロカルビル基である。このような材料は、典型的に、アルコールR8OHおよびR9OHの1つまたは混合物(第二級アルコールおよび第一級アルコール、例えばイソプロパノールおよび4−メチル−2−ペンタノールの混合物である得る)と、五硫化二リンを反応させて酸を得、その後酸化亜鉛で中和することによって調製される。

少量の従来の他の添加剤(消泡剤、染料および香料添加剤を含む)
実施例1は、出発潤滑剤に、0.70重量パーセントのジココアミンとグリコール酸との縮合生成物(アミド)、および0.70重量パーセントのシュウ酸ジメチルとN,N−ジ(C18 アルキル)プロピレン−1,3−ジアミンとの反応によって形成されたビスアミドも含有している。(C18 アルキル基は、イソステアリン酸の構造の特徴を有する。)
長鎖ヒドロキシアルキルアミンの量が0.01%だけ少なく、酸化防止剤成分が0.4%の置換ヒドロカルビルスルフィドをさらに含み、少量の従来の他の特定の添加剤がわずかに異なることを除いて、実施例1と同じ出発潤滑剤を使用する。実施例2の配合物は、改変した出発潤滑剤中に、0.70重量パーセントのシュウ酸ジメチルとN,N−ジ(C18 アルキル)プロピレン−1,3−ジアミンとの反応によって形成されたビスアミドを含有している。(C18 アルキル基は、イソステアリン酸の構造の特徴を有する。)
分散剤成分の量:3.71%
酸化防止剤成分の量:1.5%
清浄剤成分の量:0.29%
従来の摩擦調整剤成分の量:0.51%
また、参照例B(138)は、0.60重量パーセントの、シュウ酸ジメチルとN,N−ジ(C18 アルキル)プロピレン−1,3−ジアミンとの反応によって形成されたビスアミドを含有する。
分散剤成分の量:3.77%
腐食防止剤成分の量:0.11%
酸化防止剤成分の量:1.5%
清浄剤成分の量:0.23%
従来の摩擦調整剤成分の量:0.62%
また、参照例C(129)は、0.75重量%の、ジココアミンとグリコール酸との縮合生成物(アミド)を含有する。
分散剤成分の量:3.99%
腐食防止剤成分の量:0.12%
酸化防止剤成分の量:1.5%
清浄剤成分の量:0.10%
従来の摩擦調整剤成分の量:0.57%
また、参照例D(123)は、0.66重量パーセントの、ジココアミンとグリコール酸との縮合生成物(アミド)を含有する。
Claims (8)
- (a)潤滑粘度の油と、
(b)12〜22個の炭素原子を有する少なくとも2つのヒドロカルビル基を含有する、0.3〜1重量パーセントのN置換シュウ酸ビスアミドまたはアミド−エステルと、
(c)0.3〜1重量パーセントの式R1R2N−C(X)R3によって表されるアミドまたはチオアミド(式中、Xは、OまたはSであり、R1およびR2は、それぞれ独立に、少なくとも6個または8〜24個または10〜18個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基であり、R3は、1〜6個の炭素原子を有するヒドロキシアルキル基であるか、または前記ヒドロキシアルキル基を、そのヒドロキシル基を介してアシル化剤で縮合することによって形成された基である)と
を含む、組成物であって、
ここで、(b)前記N置換シュウ酸ビスアミドまたはアミドエステルが、式
(式中、R 5 およびR 7 のそれぞれは、独立に、12〜22個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基であり、R 6 およびR 8 のそれぞれは、独立に、水素であるか、または1〜22個の炭素原子を有するヒドロカルビル基である)
によって表されるビスアミドを含み、そして
ここで、(c)前記アミドまたはチオアミドが、ジ−ココアルキルアミン部分または(2−エチルヘキシル)(水素化タロー)アミン部分を含む置換されている窒素部分R 1 R 2 N−、およびグリコール酸部分(glycolic moiety)を含むカルボキシ部分−C(O)R 3 を含む、
組成物。 - (d)1種または1種より多くのスクシンイミド分散剤を含む、1〜6重量パーセントまたは2〜5.5パーセントまたは3〜5パーセントの分散剤成分をさらに含み、前記分散剤成分が、0.05〜1重量パーセントまたは0.1〜0.7パーセントまたは0.2〜0.6パーセントのホウ素を含有し、40〜100、または40〜90、または45〜70、または50〜68のTBN(オイルフリー)を有する、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- (d)前記分散剤成分が、0.1〜1重量パーセントまたは0.3〜0.8重量パーセントまたは0.5〜0.7重量パーセントのホウ素含量、および50〜100または70〜90のTBN(オイルフリー)を有する、第1のホウ素化スクシンイミド分散剤成分と、0.1重量パーセント未満のホウ素含量、および40〜80または40〜70または50〜60のTBN(オイルフリー)を有する第2のスクシンイミド分散剤成分とを含む、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- 前記第2のスクシンイミド分散剤成分が、ホウ素を含まない、請求項3に記載の組成物。
- (d)前記分散剤成分が、テレフタル酸または無機リン化合物またはジメルカプトチアジアゾール化合物のうちの少なくとも1つと反応する少なくとも1種のスクシンイミド分散剤を含む、請求項2から4のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 成分(b)または成分(c)のもの以外の、清浄剤、酸化防止剤、腐食防止剤、シール膨潤剤、摩耗防止剤、有機ホウ酸エステル、有機ホウ酸塩、消泡剤、粘度向上剤、または摩擦調整剤のうちの少なくとも1つをさらに含む、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の組成物。
- 潤滑されたクラッチを有するデバイスを潤滑する方法であって、前記デバイスに、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の組成物を供給することを含む、方法。
- 前記デバイスが、オートマチックトランスミッションを含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
