Description
本願は2012年7月25日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/675,524号の利益を主張するものである。
本発明は、視力矯正に関し、より詳細には、個別化された視力矯正オプション、操作情報及び継続的支援に関与し、それらを患者に提供する方法及び装置に関する。より具体的には、本発明の方法及びシステムは、患者の視力を検査するために使用されるリモート視力ケアPODを使用する。
本発明を目的とする本説明及び特許請求の範囲において、以下の定義が適用される、様々な用語が使用され得る。
(1) 視力矯正支援に関与し、それを提供する装置であって、
デジタル媒体記憶装置とデジタル通信を行うコンピュータープロセッサであって、前記デジタル媒体記憶装置がソフトウェアコードを記憶している、コンピュータープロセッサと、
前記プロセッサと論理通信を行い、かつ通信ネットワークと論理通信を行う送信機であって、前記ソフトウェアが要求に応じて実行可能であり、かつ前記プロセッサと共に:
患者のデータを受け取り、
患者の眼の特性を記述するデータを受け取り、
遠く離れた場所に居るアイケア施術者と前記通信ネットワークによって通信し、
視力矯正が必要とされているかどうかを判定し、
視力矯正オプションを生成し、
1つ又は2つ以上のソフトウェア生成視覚シミュレーションを生成して表示し、
前記生成された視力矯正オプションを装着している前記患者の1つ又は2つ以上のソフトウェア生成シミュレーションを生成して表示するように動作する、送信機と、を備える、装置。
(2) 前記ソフトウェアが更に、前記プロセッサと共に動作して、前記患者のための個別化された視力ケアIDカードを生成する、実施態様1に記載の装置。
(3) 前記視力矯正判定が、視力矯正処方を含む、実施態様1に記載の装置。
(4) 前記ソフトウェアが更に、前記プロセッサと共に動作して、患者の眼のデータの特性を記述する前記データ及び前記患者のデータを、前記通信ネットワークを介して製造装置に送信する、実施態様1に記載の装置。
(5) 前記ソフトウェアが更に、前記プロセッサと共に動作して、ユーザーインタフェース(user interphase)を介してシミュレーションデータを生成して表示する、実施態様1に記載の装置。
(7) 前記視力矯正オプションが、コンタクトレンズである、実施態様6に記載の装置。
(8) 前記表示されたシミュレーションが、視力矯正オプションを装着している前記患者の写真を含む、実施態様5に記載の装置。
(9) 前記ソフトウェアが更に、前記プロセッサと共に動作して、前記患者の写真をより現実的な表現に操作する、実施態様8に記載の装置。
(10) 前記ソフトウェアが更に、前記プロセッサと共に動作して、前記受け取った測定値及び患者の応答に基づいて、前記患者の、1つ又は2つ以上の製品又は治療の使用の推薦を生成する、実施態様1に記載の装置。
(12) 前記記憶された視力診断情報を記述するデジタルデータは、前記個別化された視力ケアIDカードに保存することができる、実施態様11に記載の装置。
(13) 前記視力ケアIDカードは、眼科製品の配布及び管理と関係したエンティティによって実現することができる、実施態様12に記載の装置。
(14) 患者の眼を表すデータを測定することができ、かつ前記プロセッサと通信する1つ又は2つ以上の視力測定ツールを更に備える、実施態様1に記載の装置。
(15) 前記1つ又は2つ以上の視力測定ツールが、自動化されている、実施態様1に記載の装置。
(17) 前記1つ又は2つ以上の自動視力測定ツールが、波面検査に使用される、実施態様15に記載の装置。
(18) 前記1つ又は2つ以上の自動視力測定ツールが、眼科生理学的検査に使用される、実施態様15に記載の装置。
(19) 前記1つ又は2つ以上の自動視力測定ツールが、眼科トポグラフィー検査に使用される、実施態様15に記載の装置。
Claims (7)
- 視力矯正支援に関与し、それを提供する視力ケアPODと、前記視力ケアPODと通信する外部装置と、製造装置と、を備えるシステムであって、
前記視力ケアPODは、コントローラを備え、
前記コントローラは、プロセッサと、通信装置と、記憶装置と、を備え、
前記プロセッサが、前記通信装置及び前記記憶装置とデジタル通信を行い、
前記記憶装置が前記プロセッサを制御するためのソフトウェアコードを記憶しており、
前記通信装置が前記外部装置と通信ネットワークを通じて論理通信を行い、
前記ソフトウェアコードが前記プロセッサに読み込まれることにより、
前記視力ケアPODにより、
患者のデータが取得され、
前記患者の眼の特性を記述するデータが取得され、
遠く離れた場所に居るアイケア施術者の操作する前記外部装置から、前記患者に視力矯正が必要とされているかどうかについての前記アイケア施術者による検討結果が取得され、
前記患者のデータ、前記患者の眼の特性を記述するデータ及び前記アイケア施術者による検討結果に基づき、処方が生成され、
前記患者が利用可能な視力矯正オプションの選択肢が前記処方に基づき生成され、
前記患者により選択された視力矯正オプション無しの状態と有りの状態を比較した前記患者の視力のソフトウェア生成シミュレーションが生成され、
前記視力矯正オプションの選択肢のうち、前記患者により選択された視力矯正オプションを装着している前記患者の様子のソフトウェア生成シミュレーションが生成され、
前記処方を含む前記患者に関する情報が保存された個別化された視力ケアIDカードが生成され、
前記処方を含む前記患者に関する情報が前記製造装置に送信され、当該処方を含む前記患者に関する情報が、前記視力矯正オプションを製造するために利用される、
システム。 - 前記視力矯正オプションが、眼鏡である、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記視力矯正オプションが、コンタクトレンズである、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記患者の眼の特性を記述するデータが、屈折検査により収集される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記患者の眼の特性を記述するデータが、波面検査により収集される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記患者の眼の特性を記述するデータが、眼科生理学的検査により収集される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記患者の眼の特性を記述するデータが、眼科トポグラフィー検査により収集される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
