Description
粉体系皮膜を形成するために第1のスラリーを基板12上に配置するにあたり、当業者に知られた従来のスラリー堆積方法を用いうる。その方法の例として、当該部品のスラリー浴への浸漬、塗工、圧延、スタンピング、噴霧、又は基板12の表面へのスラリーの注入が挙げられるが、これらには限定されない。乾燥後もしくは任意の他のさらなる熱処理後に形成される粉体系皮膜中に第1の材料、バインダ、及び焼結助剤が十分に分散することを促進するため、基板12上に配置する直前に、第1のスラリーを当業者に知られた任意の方法によって任意選択で機械的に攪拌してもよい。

Claims (14)
- 耐環境コーティング(20)の形成方法であって、
粉体系皮膜を基板(12)上に設ける工程と、
表面連通細孔を有する多孔質皮膜を形成するために、粉体系皮膜を800℃超1200℃未満の温度で熱処理する工程と、
溶浸皮膜を形成するために、多孔質皮膜の表面連通細孔の少なくとも一部に溶浸材料を溶浸する工程と、
耐環境コーティング(20)を基板(12)上に形成するために、溶浸皮膜を1200℃超1500℃未満の温度で焼結する工程と、
を含み、
粉体系皮膜は、多峰形分布を有する複数個の粒子の形態で存在する第1の材料を含有し、
複数個の粒子は、10μm超の粒径を有する複数個の大粒子と、5μm〜10μmの範囲内の粒径を有する複数個の中粒子と、5μm未満の粒径を有する複数個の小粒子とを含み、
第1の材料中の大粒子の量は第1の材料の全体積の40〜60体積%の範囲内にあり、第1の材料中の中粒子の量は第1の材料の全体積の15〜30体積%の範囲内にあり、第1の材料中の小粒子の量は第1の材料の全体積の15〜30体積%の範囲内にある、方法。 - 第1の材料は希土類元素のケイ酸塩を含み、希土類元素のケイ酸塩は希土類一ケイ酸塩(RE2SiO5)、希土類二ケイ酸塩(RE2Si2O7)、又はその組合せを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 粉体系皮膜を基板(12)上に設ける工程は、基板(12)を第1の材料、バインダ、及び焼結助剤に接触させる工程を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 粉体系皮膜を設ける工程は、基板(12)を、第1の材料、第1のキャリア流体、バインダ、及び焼結助剤を含む第1のスラリーと接触させる工程を含み、第1の材料は、第1のスラリーの30〜65体積%の範囲内の量で第1のスラリー中に存在する、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 多孔質皮膜を形成するために、粉体系皮膜を2時間〜8時間にわたって1050℃超1200℃未満の温度で熱処理する工程を含む、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 多孔質皮膜は20〜50体積%の範囲内の多孔率を有する、請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 溶浸材料は、第2の材料の複数個の微細粒子を含む第2のスラリー、第2の材料の前駆体を含む前駆体溶液、又はその組合せを含む、請求項1乃至6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 複数個の微細粒子は500nm未満の粒径を有する、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 第2の材料は5〜35体積%の範囲内の量で第2のスラリー中に存在する、請求項7又は8に記載の方法。
- 第2の材料はケイ素を含む、請求項7乃至9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 第2の材料はシリカを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 耐環境コーティング(20)の形成方法であって、
第1のスラリーを基板(12)に接触させることによって粉体系皮膜を基板(12)上に設ける工程と、
表面連通細孔を有する多孔質皮膜を形成するために、粉体系皮膜を1050℃超1200℃未満の温度で熱処理する工程と、
溶浸皮膜を形成するために、多孔質皮膜の表面連通細孔の少なくとも一部に第2のスラリーを溶浸する工程と、
耐環境コーティングを基板(12)上に形成するために、溶浸皮膜を1200℃超1400℃未満の温度で焼結する工程であって、
耐環境コーティング(20)の厚さは100μmを超え、
耐環境コーティング(20)は実質的に気密である、工程と
を含み、
粉体系皮膜は、多峰形分布を有する複数個の粒子の形態で存在する第1の材料を含有し、
複数個の粒子は、10μm超の粒径を有する複数個の大粒子と、5μm〜10μmの範囲内の粒径を有する複数個の中粒子と、5μm未満の粒径を有する複数個の小粒子とを含み、
第1の材料中の大粒子の量は第1の材料の全体積の40〜60体積%の範囲内にあり、第1の材料中の中粒子の量は第1の材料の全体積の15〜30体積%の範囲内にあり、第1の材料中の小粒子の量は第1の材料の全体積の15〜30体積%の範囲内にある、方法。 - 前記多孔質皮膜が過剰な希土類を含み、前記溶浸材料がケイ素を含み、前記焼結する工程により、該ケイ素が前記過剰な希土類と反応して希土類二ケイ酸塩が形成される、請求項1乃至11のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記多孔質皮膜が過剰な希土類を含み、前記に第2のスラリーがケイ素を含み、前記焼結する工程により、該ケイ素が前記過剰な希土類と反応して希土類二ケイ酸塩が形成される、請求項12に記載の方法。
