Description
Claims (8)
- メモリ内容を再配分するための方法であって、
外部ソースメモリ領域への連続的な読み出し及び書き込みアクセスを提供すると共に前記外部ソースメモリ領域から内部移動先メモリ領域へデータをコピーすることと、
前記内部移動先メモリ領域へデータをコピーすることに応答して前記外部ソースメモリ領域を含む外部メモリの電力を低減することとを備え、
前記データをコピーすることは、
前記外部ソースメモリ領域に対する第1メモリ書き込み要求をもたらす現在のアプリケーションを実行し続けることと、
前記外部ソースメモリ領域に対する前記第1メモリ書き込み要求を複製して、複製された書き込み要求を作成することと、
前記複製された書き込み要求の対象であるデータに関する第2書き込み要求を実行して、前記外部ソースメモリ領域からのデータが前記内部移動先メモリ領域のデータと同一になるのを確実にすることと、によってなされる方法。 - ソースメモリ領域から移動先メモリ領域へデータをコピーするように動作し且つソースメモリ領域に入ってくる書き込み要求を複製して複製された書き込み要求を作成すると共に前記複製された書き込み要求を実行して前記ソースメモリ領域から前記移動先メモリ領域へのデータを同期させるように動作するコヒーレントメモリコピー論理を備え、
前記コヒーレントメモリコピー論理は、入力要求ルータ論理とコピー書き込み論理とを備え、前記入力要求ルータ論理は、移動先メモリ内の前記移動先メモリ領域へコピーされつつあるソースメモリ領域に対するメモリ書き込み要求を受信し、受信したメモリ書き込み要求を複製して、複製された書き込み要求を作成し、複製された書き込み要求を前記コピー書き込み論理に送信するように動作し、前記コピー書き込み論理は、前記複製された書き込み要求のアドレスを係属中データキュー内のエントリと比較することによって、コピーコヒーレンシを促進するように動作する、集積回路(IC)。 - 前記係属中データキューは、前記ソースメモリ領域からコピーされるべきデータと少なくとも前記係属中データキュー内のエントリが前記移動先メモリ領域へコピーされる準備ができていることを表すデータ及びエントリが前記移動先メモリ領域へ既にコピーされたことを表すデータとを一時的に記憶する請求項2のIC。
- 前記係属中データキュー内のエントリは前記ソースメモリに対する係属中読み出し要求を有しており、前記コピー書き込み論理は、
前記複製された書き込み要求に基き前記書き込み要求と同じアドレスに対応しているソースメモリに対する係属中読み出し要求を前記エントリが有しているかどうかを前記係属中データキューから決定し、且つ
前記係属中読み出し要求がある場合にエントリに対する破棄フラグを有効に設定するように動作する請求項2のIC。 - 前記コヒーレントメモリコピー論理は、前記ソースメモリ領域に対する書き込み要求を取得したことに応じて、第2書き込み要求を実行するように動作する請求項4のIC。
- 前記複製された書き込み要求に含まれるデータを前記係属中データキュー内へ挿入するように動作するコピー書き込み論理を備えた請求項4のIC。
- コピーすることは、(a)準備完了フラグが有効であり且つ破棄フラグが無効であり、又は(b)前記準備完了フラグが有効であり且つ読み出し破棄フラグが有効であり且つ前記複製された書き込み要求のデータが係属中データキュー内に既にあった場合のいずれかの場合に、前記係属中データキューからエントリを読み出して前記移動先メモリ領域へ書き込むことを備えている請求項2のIC。
- 請求項2の集積回路を備えたデバイス。
