Description
Claims (16)
- ラッチ機構であって、
第1筐体部の端部に近接して、前記第1筐体部と係合するように構成された第1磁気部材と、
第2筐体部と係合するように構成された第2磁気部材であって、前記第2磁気部材は、前記第1磁気部材と前記第2磁気部材との間の磁気的相互作用が変更されるように、前記第1筐体部の前記端部に対して移動可能である、第2磁気部材と、
を備え、
前記第2磁気部材は、前記第1筐体部の前記端部から離れる方向に並進する間に、前記第1筐体部の前記端部から離れる方向に並進しながら前記第1筐体部に向かって移動するように構成されているラッチ機構。 - 前記第2磁気部材は、前記第1筐体部に対して枢動するように構成された、請求項1に記載のラッチ機構。
- 前記第1磁気部材と前記第2磁気部材のうちの一方は、第1磁石及び第2磁石を含み、前記第1磁石と前記第2磁石は、反対の極性を規定する、請求項1に記載のラッチ機構。
- 前記第1磁石と前記第2磁石は、前記第1筐体部の端部から異なる距離に配置される、請求項3に記載のラッチ機構。
- 前記第1磁気部材と前記第2磁気部材のうちの一方は、永久磁石を含み、前記第1磁気部材と前記第2磁気部材のうちの一方は、永久磁石ではない、請求項1に記載のラッチ機構。
- ポータブルコンピューティングデバイスであって、
蓋とベースとを含む筐体であって、前記蓋と前記ベースは、ヒンジで互いに連結されている、筐体と、
前記ヒンジと反対側で前記筐体に連結され、前記蓋と前記ベースを閉構成で解除可能に保持するように構成されたラッチ機構であって、
前記蓋の端部に近接して前記蓋と係合する第1磁気部材と、
前記ベースと係合する第2磁気部材であって、前記第2磁気部材は、前記第1磁気部材と前記第2磁気部材との間の磁気的相互作用が変更されるように、前記蓋の前記端部に対して移動可能である、第2磁気部材と、
を含むラッチ機構と、
を備え、
前記ベースの前記端部は、前記第2磁気部材の移動中に、前記蓋の前記端部が露出するように前記蓋の前記端部から後退するように構成されるポータブルコンピューティングデバイス。 - 前記第2磁気部材は、前記蓋に対して枢動するように構成されている、請求項6に記載のポータブルコンピューティングデバイス。
- 前記ベースは可動部を含み、前記可動部は、前記ベースの残りの部分に対して移動するように構成され、前記第2磁気部材は、前記ベースの前記可動部と係合している、請求項7に記載のポータブルコンピューティングデバイス。
- 前記第2磁気部材は、前記蓋の前記端部から離れる方向に並進するように構成された、請求項6に記載のポータブルコンピューティングデバイス。
- 前記第2磁気部材は、前記蓋の前記端部から離れる方向に並進しながら、前記蓋に向かって移動するように構成された、請求項9に記載のポータブルコンピューティングデバイス。
- 前記ベースの端部は、前記第2磁気部材の移動の前には、前記蓋の前記端部に実質的に位置が揃うように構成された、請求項6に記載のポータブルコンピューティングデバイス。
- ラッチ機構を組み立てる方法であって、
第1磁気部材を第1筐体部の端部に近接して連結することと、
第2磁気部材を第2筐体部に連結することであって、前記第2磁気部材は、前記第1磁気部材と前記第2磁気部材との間の磁気的相互作用が変更されるように、前記第1筐体部の前記端部に対して移動可能である、ことと、
を含み、
前記第2磁気部材を前記第2筐体部に連結することは、前記第2磁気部材を前記第2筐体部の可動部に連結することと、前記可動部が前記第2筐体部の残りの部分に対して移動できるように、前記可動部を前記第2筐体部の前記残りの部分に連結することと、を含む、方法。 - 前記第2磁気部材を前記第2筐体部に連結することは、前記第2磁気部材が、前記第1筐体部に対して枢動することができるように前記第2磁気部材を前記第2筐体部に連結することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記第1筐体部を前記第2筐体部にヒンジにより連結することを更に備える、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記第1筐体部を前記第2筐体部にヒンジにより連結することは、閉構成において、前記第2筐体部の端部を前記第1筐体部の端部に実質的に位置揃えすること、を含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記第1磁気部材を前記第1筐体部に連結することは、前記第1磁気部材をポータブルコンピューティングデバイスの蓋に連結することを含み、
前記第2磁気部材を前記第2筐体部に連結することは、前記第2磁気部材を前記ポータブルコンピューティングデバイスのベースに連結することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
