Claims (5)
- 光強度変調器もしくは光位相変調器をレーザ共振器内に挿入したAMもしくはFMモード同期レーザから成り、該レーザ共振器内にスペクトル可変光フィルタを有し、該光フィルタのスペクトル形状を制御することにより光ナイキストパルスを出力することを特徴とするナイキストレーザ。
- 前記光ナイキストパルスは、ナイキストフィルタのインパルス応答で与えられ、パルスの中心から時間軸上の正負の方向に1/NR(R:出力パルスの繰り返し周波数、N:整数)の時間間隔で強度が零となることを特徴とする請求項1記載のナイキストレーザ。
- 空間結合型または光ファイバ型の、ファブリー・ペロー共振器もしくはリング共振器から構成されることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のナイキストレーザ。
- 前記レーザ共振器内のレーザ出力光の一部より共振器長に対応した基本周波数の整数倍の周波数のクロック信号を抽出し、該クロック信号で前記光強度変調器もしくは前記光位相変調器を駆動する再生モード同期ループを有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のナイキストレーザ。
- 前記レーザ共振器内のレーザ出力パルスの繰り返し周波数と光周波数、あるいはいずれか一方の周波数を安定化する負帰還制御機構を有することを特徴とする請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載のナイキストレーザ。
