Description
本出願は、2011年12月13日に出願された米国仮特許出願61/569,916号の優先権を主張するとともに、「Sonotrode and Anvil Energy Director Grids for Narrow/Complex Ultrasonic Welds of Improved Durability」と題された2010年11月26日に出願された米国特許出願12/925,652の一部継続出願でもある、2012年12月13日に出願された米国非仮特許出願13/713,237の優先権を主張する。各々の開示は引用によって本明細書に組み込まれる。
Claims (16)
- 製袋充填機またはあらかじめ作られた小袋用機械の超音波溶接スタックのアンビルとソノトロードを支持する際に使用する超音波溶接ステーションであって、
前記超音波溶接ステーションは、
ハウジング、
前記ハウジングの一部にしっかりと固定された部分を備える直線レール、
前記直線レール上で摺動可能に受け取られる第1のベアリングキャリッジ、
前記直線レール上で摺動可能に受け取られる第2のベアリングキャリッジ、
第1の流体筋肉、
第2の流体筋肉、
前記ハウジングに対して摺動可能になるように前記第1のベアリングキャリッジにしっかりと固定された第1の取付部材であって、前記第1の流体筋肉が、前記ハウジングの一部に固定された第1の端部と、前記第1の取付部材に固定された第2の端部を有するように構成され、前記第1の取付部材がアンビルをそれにしっかりと固定するように構成された、第1の取付部材、
前記ハウジングに対して摺動可能になるように前記第2のベアリングキャリッジにしっかりと固定された第2の取付部材であって、前記第2の流体筋肉が、前記ハウジングの一部に固定された第1の端部と、前記第2の取付部材に固定された第2の端部を有するように構成され、前記第2の取付部材がソノトロードをそれにしっかりと固定するように構成された、第2の取付部材を備え、
前記第1の流体筋肉と前記第2の流体筋肉は、前記第1の取付部材と前記第2の取付部材の集中的な並進を引き起こすために、前記ハウジングに対する前記第1の取付部材と前記第2の取付部材の対応する並進を引き起こすように加圧されるように構成される、ことを特徴とする超音波溶接ステーション。 - 前記第1の取付部材に固定されたアンビル、
前記第2の取付部材に固定されたソノトロードをさらに含み、
前記第1の取付部材と前記第2の取付部材に対する、前記アンビルと前記ソノトロードのそれぞれの固定は、前記第1の取付部材と前記第2の取付部材の集中的な並進によって、前記アンビルの表面と前記ソノトロードの表面の係合をもたらすように構成される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。 - 前記アンビルの前記表面と選択的に係合するように構成された前記ソノトロードの係合面は、複数のエネルギーダイレクターを備え、前記複数のエネルギーダイレクターが第1の方向と第2の方向に間隔をおいて配されることで、1つのパターンが形成され、前記複数のエネルギーダイレクターのそれぞれは長方形のプラトー面を備え、前記長方形のプラトー面のそれぞれの側は、角のある側面に移行することで、前記長方形のプラトー面のそれぞれに第1の、第2の、第3の、および、第4の角のある側面を形成するように構成され、前記長方形のプラトー面のそれぞれの前記角のある側面のそれぞれが、前記ソノトロードの外周を除いて、隣接するプラトー面の別の側面と接続し、
前記ソノトロードの前記表面と選択的に係合する前記アンビルの係合面は、複数のエネルギーダイレクターを備え、前記複数のエネルギーダイレクターが第1の方向と第2の方向に間隔をおいて配されることで、1つのパターンが形成され、前記複数のエネルギーダイレクターのそれぞれは長方形のプラトー面を備え、前記長方形のプラトー面のそれぞれの側は、角のある側面に移行することで、前記長方形のプラトー面のそれぞれに第1の、第2の、第3の、および、第4の角のある側面を形成するように構成され、前記長方形のプラトー面のそれぞれの前記角のある側面のそれぞれが、前記ソノトロードの外周を除いて、隣接するプラトー面の別の側面と接続し、および、
前記ソノトロードの前記エネルギーダイレクターと前記アンビルの前記エネルギーダイレクターは、前記ソノトロードの前記側面が、薄いワークピースを超音波で溶接するために振動を伝えるように構成されたパターンで、前記第1の方向と前記第2の方向の両方で前記アンビルの前記側面と噛み合うように位置合わせされるように構成される、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。 - 前記ソノトロードと前記アンビルの噛み合う複数のエネルギーダイレクターは、前記ソノトロードと前記アンビルとの間の総表面積を増加させるように構成される、ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- それぞれの前記プラトー面の前記角のある側面は、前記プラトー面に対して45度の角度である、ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- それぞれの前記プラトー面の前記角のある側面のそれぞれは、前記隣接するプラトー面の別の側面と接続することで、その間に谷が形成される、ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- それぞれの前記プラトー面の前記角のある側面のそれぞれは、円弧状の表面を備えた前記隣接するプラトー面の別の側面と接続することで、その間に谷が形成される、ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- 前記長方形のプラトー面のそれぞれは、側面が溶接線に対して45度の角度となるように配向される、ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の
- 前記ソノトロード上の前記第2の方向は、前記ソノトロード上の前記第1の方向に対して直角であり、前記ソノトロードの前記複数のエネルギーダイレクターは、ソノトロードの前記第1の方向に規則的に間隔をおいて配され、および、ソノトロードの前記第2の方向に規則的に間隔をおいて配されることで、その上に格子パターンが形成され、
前記アンビル上の前記第2の方向は、前記アンビル上の前記第1の方向に対して直角であり、前記アンビルの前記複数のエネルギーダイレクターは、アンビルの前記第1の方向に規則的に間隔をおいて配され、および、アンビルの前記第2の方向に規則的に間隔をおいて配されることで、その上に格子パターンが形成される、ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。 - 前記第1の流体筋肉と前記第2の流体筋肉は、前記ソノトロードの前記表面から前記アンビルの前記表面を係脱させるために、前記第1の取付部材と前記第2の取付部材を前記ハウジングに対して逆並進させて集中させるべく加圧されるように構成される、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- 前記第1の流体筋肉と前記第2の流体筋肉は、ほぼ同じ大きさであり、前記第1の取付部材と前記第2の取付部材にほぼ等量の並進を与えるように構成される、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- 前記ソノトロードは、前記第2の取付部材に解放可能に固定され、解放可能な固定は、それぞれが前記第2の取付部材にしっかりと固定された第1の対のクランプブロックと、それぞれが止めねじを用いて前記第1の対のクランプブロックに固定された対応する第2の対のクランプブロックを備え、それによって、前記第1の対のクランプブロックと前記第2の対のクランプブロックの間で前記ソノトロードが解放可能に固定される、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- 前記アンビルは前記第1の取付部材に調節可能に固定され、調節可能な固定は、前記アンビル内の内側にねじが刻設された穴部の内部に螺合自在に係合する複数の取付フットと、前記第1の取付部材に前記複数の取付フットを固定するための対応する複数のねじを含む、ことを特徴とする請求項12に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- 前記第1の流体筋肉と前記第2の流体筋肉は、前記ハウジングに固定され、かつ、前記第1の取付部材と前記第2の取付部材にそれぞれ固定されることで、幅の狭い外形が形成され、前記第1の流体筋肉と前記第2の流体筋肉はそれぞれ、前記直線レールに対して直列に、および、前記アンビルと前記ソノトロードに対して直列に配置される、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- 前記第1の流体筋肉の前記第1の端部は、前記第2の取付部材内の穴部を通って前記ハウジングに固定され、前記第2の流体筋肉の前記第1の端部は、前記第1の取付部材内の穴部を通って前記ハウジングに固定される、ことを特徴とする請求項14に記載の超音波溶接ステーション。
- 改良型のソノトロードとアンビルを取り付けて、製袋充填機の1つ以上の熱融着要素を改造する方法であって、
前記方法は、
前記1つ以上の熱融着要素および関連する支持ブラケットを取り除く工程、
改造キットを設ける工程を含み、
前記改造キットは、
ハウジング、
前記ハウジングの一部にしっかりと固定された部分を備える直線レール、
前記直線レール上で摺動可能に受け取られる第1のベアリングキャリッジ、
前記直線レール上で摺動可能に受け取られる第2のベアリングキャリッジ、
第1の流体筋肉、
第2の流体筋肉、
前記ハウジングに対して摺動可能になるように前記第1のベアリングキャリッジにしっかりと固定された第1の取付部材であって、前記第1の流体筋肉が、前記ハウジングの一部に固定された第1の端部と、前記第1の取付部材に固定された第2の端部を有するように構成され、前記第1の取付部材がアンビルをそれにしっかりと固定するように構成された、第1の取付部材、
前記ハウジングに対して摺動可能になるように前記第2のベアリングキャリッジにしっかりと固定された第2の取付部材であって、前記第2の流体筋肉が、前記ハウジングの一部に固定された第1の端部と、前記第2の取付部材に固定された第2の端部を有するように構成され、前記第2の取付部材がソノトロードをそれにしっかりと固定するように構成された、第2の取付部材、
前記第1の取付部材に固定されたアンビル、
前記第2の取付部材に固定されたソノトロードを備え、
前記第1の流体筋肉と前記第2の流体筋肉は、前記第1の取付部材と前記第2の取付部材の集中的な並進を引き起こすために、前記ハウジングに対する前記第1の取付部材と前記第2の取付部材の対応する並進を引き起こすように加圧されるように構成され、
前記方法はさらに、
前記製袋充填機のフレームに取付穴を掘る工程、および、
固定手段を用いて前記フレームに前記改造キットの前記ハウジングを固定することによって、製袋充填機のフレームに前記改造キットを設置する工程を含む、ことを特徴とする方法。
