Description
まず、試験動物として、犬を用いて、本発明のインプラント材の作製を試みた。すなわち、溝角度、位置を変化させたインプラント材をビーグル犬(2years/13.1Kg)に埋入し、術後24Wに形成された溝内部の骨の定性、定量評価を行った。
次に、実際にインプラント表面に配向溝/孔構造を設けるのではなく、メッシュを用いて、最適な足場構造の確立を試みた。
実施例1、2で用いた人工股関節に関して、主応力ベクトルの測定については以下の通り行った。
2 生体組織(図で灰色の部分は、新生骨骨梁を示し、黒い部分は、明確ではないが、まだ石灰化していない骨組織である類骨(殆どがコラーゲン線維から構成)か、本当に骨が存在していない空隙かのいずれかと考えられる。)

Claims (5)
- インプラント材の表面において、前記インプラント材を適用する生体アパタイトの主応力ベクトルの方向に対して略平行な孔を有するように設計してなる前記インプラント材であり、前記孔は、ほぼ直線的に伸びる孔であり、かつ、前記孔は、積層された複数のメッシュによる格子状メッシュからなることを特徴とするインプラント材。
- 前記格子状メッシュが、チタン製、チタン合金製、コバルトクロム合金製、タンタル製、又はステンレス鋼製である請求項1記載のインプラント材。
- 前記孔が、溝状、ハニカム状、又はロータス状である請求項1又は2に記載のインプラント材。
- 前記インプラント材を生体硬組織に適用した場合に、前記生体硬組織の配向方位と略同一方位に向かって、前記孔が一方向性となるように設計してなる請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のインプラント材。
- 前記インプラント材が、金属、炭素繊維強化複合材、高分子複合材、又はセラミックス複合材からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のインプラント材。
