Description
The present invention relates to an arc detection device that detects the occurrence of a parallel arc and a series arc in a DC circuit such as a photovoltaic power generation system.
In recent years, with the spread of renewable energy, construction of photovoltaic power generation systems (mega solar) exceeding 1 MW capacity is increasing. Mega solar has an extremely large number of photovoltaic power generation panels and increases the number of connection terminals. Therefore, it has been pointed out that arc failures are likely to occur due to power generation failure and contact failure, and that it may progress to fire. Therefore, the series and parallel arcs generated in the photovoltaic power generation system are detected instantaneously and accurately, and only the switch connected to the cable where the arc is generated is selectively cut off to instantly converge the accident. It is necessary to plan.
Conventionally, various methods shown below have been proposed as methods for detecting series and parallel arcs in a DC circuit.

In Patent Document 2, it is considered that arcing, short circuit, and disconnection failure occur due to forgetting screw tightening at the connection terminal block in the photovoltaic power generation system, and the detection time is set to several hundreds μs. And variations in current and voltage on the output side are detected. By integrating and statistically processing current and voltage fluctuations so as not to be confused with electrical noise, it is determined that an arc has occurred only when multiple arcs have occurred. (For example, Patent Document 2)

An object of the present invention is to obtain an arc detection device that is divided into a system and that can be applied to a DC circuit in which switching noise of an inverter of a power conditioner is superimposed.
An arc detection apparatus according to the present invention includes a voltage sensor that is provided between terminals of a switch that opens and closes a DC circuit, detects a voltage between the terminals, and a power spectrum conversion apparatus that converts an output from the voltage sensor into a power spectrum. And an arc determination device that determines whether or not an arc has occurred in the DC circuit based on the slope of the power spectrum converted by the power spectrum conversion device and a sudden drop in the voltage detected by the voltage sensor. It is what.
According to the arc detection device of the present invention, a voltage sensor that is provided between terminals of a switch that opens and closes a DC circuit and detects a voltage between the terminals, and a power spectrum conversion that converts an output from the voltage sensor into a power spectrum And an arc determination device for determining the presence or absence of arc occurrence in the DC circuit based on the slope of the power spectrum converted by the power spectrum conversion device and the sudden drop in the voltage detected by the voltage sensor. Since it is a feature, the occurrence of an arc is detected based on the slope of the power spectrum of the voltage regardless of the magnitude of the current value and the rapid drop of the voltage, and the arc can be detected with high accuracy. Moreover, since the voltage between the terminals of the switch provided for every several system | strain is used, there exists an effect which can obtain the arc detection apparatus which can detect an arc for every system | strain.

The switching noise
The
Next, the experimental results of examining the arc determination method will be described. Although the arc generated in the DC circuit is assumed to be a
From this experimental result, as the current value is smaller, the signal difference of the power spectrum due to the presence or absence of the arc is not clear and the arc detection is difficult, and even if the signal intensity is amplified by the amplifier, there is a possibility of malfunction due to noise. In general, since a photovoltaic power generation panel is such that even a short circuit current flows only as small as about 10 A, it is difficult to detect an arc with a current.
On the other hand, FIG. 5 shows the result of the power spectrum obtained from the voltage waveform of the voltage sensor using the same experimental circuit. Since the voltage changes by the voltage drop (about 20V) due to the arc generation, the voltage power spectrum results are superimposed with noise corresponding to the size of the generated arc, regardless of the current value flowing through the DC circuit at that time. Therefore, there is a clear difference compared to the signal intensity when no arc is generated, and it is easy to determine the presence or absence of an arc. The noise at this time is said to be 1 / f noise, and is a signal having a power spectrum gradient that is the reciprocal of the frequency. Furthermore, the frequency band of 1 to 10 kHz is a preferable frequency band for the determination of the presence or absence of an arc because the signal intensity of arc noise appears significantly compared to other frequency band components.
For this reason, the
The power
Generally, in a photovoltaic power generation system, a
Switching noise removal determination is for switching noise generated from the inverter of the
When an arc is generated in this state, the power spectrum intensity recorded in the power
The
The inclination of the power spectrum without arc is about 1 × 10 −5 and slightly fluctuates every day. Therefore, the inclination is determined to be 1 × 10 −4 as a reference value in consideration of errors and the like, and is stored in the reference
As described above, there is an effect that a highly accurate arc detection device can be obtained by detecting the occurrence of an arc based on the slope of the power spectrum of the voltage. In the above description, the slope of the power spectrum is calculated using the least square method. However, the slope is calculated using another calculation method such as a regression line or a polynomial approximation curve of even order.
Embodiment 2. FIG.
FIG. 10 is an explanatory diagram showing a voltage drop when an arc is generated in the second embodiment of the present invention. In the first embodiment, the case where the occurrence of an arc is detected by the inclination of the power spectrum of the voltage has been described. However, the voltage shift amount of the arc voltage is measured by the
However, since the amount of solar radiation varies from moment to moment in the weather, the output voltage also varies accordingly. For this reason, the power spectrum is also measured at the same time, and by using two types of voltage shift time-series data and frequency-analyzed power spectrum, the occurrence of arc is detected, so that false detection accompanying fluctuations in output due to changes in solar radiation Can be prevented. In addition, since the output voltage of the
FIG. 11 is an explanatory diagram showing a case where an arc noise elimination device for preventing propagation of arc noise between systems in
