Claims (15)
- 端面に付着されたバリアを有する可燃性熱源を製造する方法であって、
第1の開口部及び反対側の第2の開口部を有する中空ダイを準備する段階と、
前記中空ダイの前記第1の開口部を層状バリア材料で覆う段階と、
前記中空ダイに前記第1の開口部を通して第1のパンチを挿入することによって前記層状バリア材料からバリアを打ち抜く段階と、
前記中空ダイに前記第2の開口部を通して1つ又はそれ以上の粒子成分を入れる段階と、
前記中空ダイに前記第2の開口部を通して第2のパンチを挿入することによって、前記1つ又はそれ以上の粒子成分を圧縮して可燃性熱源を形成し、前記バリアを前記可燃性熱源の端面に付着させる段階と、
前記端面に付着された前記バリアを有する前記可燃性熱源を前記中空ダイから排出する段階と、
を備える、可燃性熱源の製造方法。 - 前記バリアと前記可燃性熱源の前記端面との間に接着剤を提供する段階をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記接着剤は、前記ダイの前記第1の開口部を前記層状バリア材料で覆う前に前記層状バリア材料に塗布される、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記接着剤を前記層状バリア材料にスプレーガン、ローラ、及びスロットガンの少なくとも1つを使用して塗布する段階を備える、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ又はそれ以上の粒子成分の少なくとも1つは炭素質である、請求項1から4の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ又はそれ以上の粒子成分の少なくとも1つは結合剤を含む、請求項1から4の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記結合剤は、前記バリアを前記可燃性熱源の前記端面に付着することを助長する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記バリアは、実質的に前記可燃性熱源の前記端面全体を横切ると共に少なくとも部分的に前記可燃性熱源の隣接する側面に沿って延びる、請求項1から7の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のパンチは、平坦プロファイル又は凹状プロファイルを有する、請求項1から8の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記第2のパンチは、平坦プロファイル又は凹状プロファイルを有する、請求項1から9の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記層状バリア材料は熱伝導性である、請求項1から10の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記層状バリア材料の熱伝導率は、少なくとも約200W/mKである、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記層状バリア材料は不燃性である、請求項1から12の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記層状バリア材料は、実質的に空気不透過性である、請求項1から13の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 喫煙物品用可燃性熱源を製造するための、請求項1から14の何れか1項に記載の方法。
