Description
The present invention relates to an insulation manufacturing method, and more particularly to an insulation manufacturing method provided on an inner surface of a motor case of a solid rocket motor.
A solid rocket motor is a rocket engine that generates a propulsive force from solid fuel (also called solid propellant), which is a defense rocket, missile, satellite launch rocket propulsion engine, observation rocket, or attitude control Widely used as rockets.
FIG. 1 is an explanatory diagram of a general
The
The
Moreover, in order to relieve stress and distortion generated in the grains of the
Further, since the
Furthermore, since the
Asbestos (asbestos), an inorganic fiber that has been used for brake lining, packing sheets, etc., and has been used in the past to improve heat resistance and ablation properties and to obtain a reinforcing effect. A mixture of chrysotile Mg 3 Si 2 (OH) 4 O 5 ) fiber and rubber was provided in layers on the inner surface of the motor case 4 and used as the
However, when asbestos fibers are used, there is a problem that it takes a long time to knead the chopped asbestos fibers and the rubber and to provide them in layers on the inner surface of the motor case 4. In addition, asbestos fibers scatter crystal water at about 600 ° C. and become MgO 3 Si 2 powder, so that the combustion gas of the
Therefore, as an alternative to asbestos fibers,
FIG. 2 is an explanatory diagram of a conventional method for manufacturing the
In the production of the
For this reason, the rubber component hardly penetrates into the nodular aromatic polyamide fibers, and the nodule of the aromatic polyamide fibers may cause bubbles and cracks in the rubber.
Further, since there is a nodular aromatic polyamide fiber into which the rubber component has not penetrated, air permeability is generated in the sheet thickness direction of the sheet, and the airtightness may be impaired.
FIG. 3 is an explanatory diagram of another conventional manufacturing method for the
As shown in FIG. 3, aramid fibers (in

However, since the liquid rubber has low viscosity and the blade of the mixer rotates with little resistance, it has been difficult to unravel the aramid fiber agglomerates using only the flow force of the liquid rubber. Therefore, development of the manufacturing method of the

The present invention has been developed to solve the above-described problems. That is, an object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing an insulation having a low density and a light weight, which has good dispersibility, physical properties and heat resistance even when the amount of aramid fibers is increased.
According to the present invention, there is provided a method for producing an insulation comprising solid rubber, liquid rubber, and reinforcing fibers,
Solid rubber is a vulcanizable solid rubber,
Liquid rubber is liquid or water-like rubber at room temperature,
In the pre-kneading process, a solid rubber, a reinforcing fiber and a liquid rubber are kneaded to produce a first kneaded rubber,
In the main kneading step, the solid rubber and the first kneaded rubber are kneaded to produce a second kneaded rubber ,
In the preliminary kneading step, when the mass of the reinforcing fiber is 100, the mass of the reinforcing fiber is as long as the mass of the solid rubber is in the range of 25 to 100 and the mass of the liquid rubber is in the range of 5 to 50. The total amount of the first kneaded rubber after the pre-kneading step is added to be in the range of 40% to 76.9%, and the mass of the solid rubber is in the range of 14.3% to 48.8% of the total amount. In addition, there is provided an insulation manufacturing method, characterized in that the mass of the liquid rubber is added so as to be in the range of 2.4% to 28.6% of the total amount .
The reinforcing fibers include aromatic polyamide-based pulp fibers or aromatic polyamide fibers.
Also, carbon black is kneaded into the first kneaded rubber.
In order to improve the dispersibility of the reinforcing fibers, it is necessary to increase the resilience of the mixer appropriately when the first kneaded rubber is produced (hereinafter referred to as pre-kneading step). According to this manufacturing method, since the hard solid rubber is added and kneaded in the preliminary kneading step, the shearing force applied to the mixer is increased and the kneading can be performed with force. As a result, the aggregate of reinforcing fibers can be unraveled with various forces such as tension and elastic force, so that the dispersibility of the reinforcing fibers can be further increased compared with mixing with liquid rubber and reinforcing fibers alone.
Further, the amount of rubber, which is a combination of solid rubber and liquid rubber, used in the preliminary kneading step is determined by the amount of reinforcing fibers. Therefore, since the amount of liquid rubber can be reduced by the amount of solid rubber added in the preliminary kneading step, the ratio of liquid rubber in the insulation can be reduced. Thereby, since the ratio of liquid rubber with low viscosity and heat resistance can be reduced, the physical property and heat resistance of insulation can be improved.

Solid rubber is a vulcanizable solid rubber that contains a third component such as 5-ethylidene-2-norbornene, 1,4-hexadiene, or dicyclopentadiene in a copolymer of ethylene and propylene (EPM). An ethylene-propylene rubber added and bonded as a side chain is used. In particular, ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM) is preferred.

There may be.
In addition, the solid rubber of the present invention may be used in combination of these plural types, or may be used alone.
The liquid rubber is a liquid or water-like rubber that is fluid at room temperature, and is a liquid butadiene rubber (hereinafter referred to as BR) (1,2-BR, 1,4-BR), liquid IR (1,4 -IR), liquid NBR rubber, liquid butadiene styrene rubber (hereinafter referred to as SBR), liquid polybutene, and liquid urethane rubber.
Moreover, the liquid rubber of this invention may be used combining several types among these, and may be used independently.
Reinforcing fibers are fibers that are miscible with liquid rubber. In addition, the reinforcing fiber has heat resistance, strength that can be maintained against high-speed gas flow, good compatibility with rubber, light weight, low density, and start of ablation It must have the characteristics of high temperature and good ablation characteristics.

Aramid fiber is a polyamide-based organic fiber having low heat conduction, high heat shielding properties, heat resistance, flame retardancy, and strength.
In addition, as long as an aramid fiber is used as a reinforced fiber, you may use another fiber together. NOMEX (registered trademark), KEVLAR (registered trademark), TWARON (registered trademark), Technora (registered trademark), and Conex (registered trademark) are commercially available as aromatic polyamide fibers. Polyamide fiber may be used.

Therefore, by using aromatic polyamide-based pulp fibers as reinforcing fibers, the physical properties of the

Mineral oil softeners (paraffin softeners, aromatic softeners, or naphthenic softeners) Agents) and vegetable oil softeners (fatty oils such as rapeseed oil, palm oil or coconut oil, fatty acids such as stearic acid and salts thereof, pine oil, rosin, or factis (sub)).

As the tackifier, coumarone resin, phenol, terpene resin, petroleum hydrocarbon resin, liquid polybutene, rosin derivative and the like are used.

(S1) The blending step is a step of first selecting raw rubber and determining the types and amounts of various additives and reinforcing fibers.
(S2) The processing step is a step of making a kneaded rubber by mixing or kneading the raw rubber, reinforcing fiber, and additive based on the formulation determined in (S1).
(S3) The vulcanization kneading step is a step of vulcanizing by applying heat to the kneaded rubber produced in (S2).
(S4) The molding step is a step of molding the vulcanized kneaded rubber.
The processing step of the present invention includes (S2a) a pre-kneading step in which reinforcing fibers are kneaded with a part of the raw rubber and dispersed in the rubber to form a first kneaded rubber, and (S2b) the first kneaded rubber.
(S2) In the processing step in the method for manufacturing the
(S2a)。 In the pre-kneading step, solid rubber, reinforcing fiber, and liquid rubber are kneaded to produce a first kneaded rubber (S2a).
The pre-kneading step is performed by adding the mass of solid rubber (hereinafter, solid rubber amount) in the range of 25 to 150, assuming that the mass of aramid fiber (hereinafter, aramid fiber amount) is 100. Preferably, the amount of solid rubber is in the range of 50-100. If the amount of solid rubber is less than 25, the amount of rubber is insufficient, and thus the dispersibility of aramid fibers is insufficient. When the amount of the solid rubber is more than 150, the dispersibility of the aramid fiber is deteriorated due to a decrease in the shearing force between the aramid fiber and the solid rubber.
Further, the mass of the liquid rubber (hereinafter, the amount of liquid rubber) is added in the range of 5 to 50 in the preliminary kneading step. Preferably, the amount of liquid rubber is added at 25. When the amount of the liquid rubber is more than 50, the heat resistance and physical properties of the rubber are lowered.
When kneading, it is preferable to use a closed twin-screw mixer represented by a Banbury mixer. However, the mixer used for kneading is not limited to this, and other mixers such as an open roll may be used, for example. These may be used in combination.
In the main kneading step, the solid rubber and the first kneaded rubber produced in the preliminary kneading step are kneaded to produce a second kneaded rubber (S2b). Also when kneading in this kneading step, it is preferable to use a closed twin-screw mixer represented by a Banbury mixer. However, the mixer used for kneading is not limited to this, and other mixers such as an open roll may be used, for example. These may be used in combination.
Moreover, it is preferable to mix an additive in this kneading | mixing process.
(S3) In the vulcanization kneading step of the present invention, a vulcanizing agent and a vulcanization accelerator are added to the second kneaded rubber and kneaded to produce a third kneaded rubber. In the vulcanizing and kneading step, it is preferable to use an open roll. However, the vulcanizer used in the vulcanization kneading step is not limited to this, and other vulcanizers may be used.
The vulcanizing and kneading step is a step of generating rubber elasticity by applying heat to the rubber after the processing step and causing a vulcanization reaction or an adhesion reaction.

Further, the amount of rubber, which is a combination of solid rubber and liquid rubber, used in the preliminary kneading step is determined by the amount of reinforcing fibers.
