Abstract
Description
言及されている場合を除き、経時的なカール保持性を以下のプロトコルに従って測定した。
1.毛束(Hair tresses)3.0gを試験試料として準備した。
2.処理前、各々十分に伸ばした毛束の長さを測定した。
3.毛束を濡らし、固定量の試験製品(0.3g)を各毛束に塗布し、毛髪上で泡立てた。
4.該製品を、毛髪上に2〜3分間残したままにした。その後、過剰な製品を、水で毛髪から洗い流した。
5.各毛束を、最大1分間(例えば、約98℃のカール用アイロンで)熱スタイリングし、カールを付与した。
6.カールが付与されたら、幾つかの試料を、周囲条件(温度=25℃、相対湿度=40〜45%)に数時間曝し、幾つかの試料を、高い湿度条件(温度=25℃、相対湿度=85〜90%)に数時間曝した。
7.カールの長さを何度も測定し、以下のカール保持性の計算を行った:

8.各試験試料を、美観上考慮すべき事柄(即ち、外観は自然であるか、毛髪上に視認できる残渣があるか、毛髪は柔らかく、滑らかであるか)についても評価した。
対照試料に使用した基剤シャンプー組成物を、以下の処方に従って調製した:
相対湿度40〜45%では、試験試料1a、3a及び4aは、試験期間にわたって、対照試料よりも良好にカールを保持した。試験試料2aは、試験の後半で対照より良好に機能した。相対湿度85〜90%では、結果は更に劇的であった。4つ全ての試験試料が、試験期間にわたって、対照よりもかなり良好にカールを保持した。全体的に、試験処方4が、最も良好にカールを保持した(対照の30.6%及び10%と比較して、低い湿度で5時間後50%のカール保持性及び高い湿度で1時間後43%のカール保持性)。次に良好であったのは、試験処方3であり、試験処方1及び2が続き、これらは互いに同様に機能した。
この試験例において、約4.85:1の比が好ましいが、2.3:1と低い比も、依然として有用な結果を示す。全体的に、約2:1〜5:1の比でアクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマー及びポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8を唯一又は主なカール保持剤として含む、局所毛髪組成物は、スタイリングした毛髪のカールを保持するのに有用である。
対照試料に使用した基剤ヘアコンディショナー組成物を、以下の処方に従って調製した:
相対湿度40〜45%では、試験処方3及び4は、試験期間にわたって、対照試料よりも良好にカールを保持した。試験処方1、2及び5は、対照と比較して、種々の結果を示した。相対湿度85〜90%では、試験処方3、4及び5は、試験期間にわたって、対照試料よりもかなり良好にカールを保持したが、処方1及び2は、試験の後半で対照より良好に機能した。全体的に、試験処方3及び4が、最も良好にカールを保持した(対照の22.5%及び0%と比較して、低い湿度で5時間後45%及び44.4%並びに高い湿度で1時間後38.9%及び35%)。次に良好であったのは、試験処方1であり、次は試験処方5、次は試験処方2であった。
この試験例において、約6:1〜9:1の比が好ましいが、約4.5:1と低い比及び18:1と高い比も、特に高い湿度環境に対しては依然として有用な結果を示す。全体的に、約4.5:1〜18:1の比でアクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマー及びポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8を唯一又は主なカール保持剤として含む、リンスアウト毛髪組成物は、スタイリングした毛髪のカールを保持するのに有用である。
洗い流しシャンプー組成物及び洗い流しコンディショナー組成物を、以下の処方に従って調製した:
相対湿度40〜45%、5時間では、上の処方によるシャンプー試料(5a)及びコンディショナー試料(6a)は、Bumble & bumble Lotion(29.9%)よりもかなり良好にカールを保持した(各々45%及び47%)。該シャンプー及びコンディショナーは、Bumble & bumble Gel及びBumble & bumble Thickening Mousseとほぼ同様にカールを保持したが、Bumble & bumble Thickening Spray(74.8%)ほどではなかった。
該シャンプーは、アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマーを5.0%及びポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8を0.66%含んでいた(7.6:1の比)。この試験例のコンディショナーは、アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマーを4.0%及びポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8を0.66%含んでいた(6:1の比)。この試験例において、唯一又は主なカール保持剤として、約6:1〜7.6:1の比でアクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマー及びポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8を含む、2つのリンスアウト毛髪組成物は、唯一又は主なカール保持剤として幾つかの市販のリーブインヘアスタイリング製品よりも良好に又はそれと同様にカールを保持することができた。
試験対照として作用する基剤シャンプー組成物を、以下の処方に従って調製した:
相対湿度45〜45%では、試験処方1は、試験期間を通して、対照試料と同等に機能し、試験処方2〜5は、対照試料よりもはるかに優れていた。試験処方5aは、試験処方2〜4と同様に機能せず、試験処方3及び4は、試験処方2よりもわずかに良好に機能した。相対湿度85〜90%では、試験処方1〜5は、試験期間を通して、対照試料よりもはるかに優れていた。全体的に、試験処方3が最も良好に機能し、次に試験処方4、5、1及び2の順番で性能が低下した。
各試験期間の終了前にカール保持性が0%であった対照と比較して、試験処方3及び4は、いずれの湿度レベルでも優れたカール保持性(低い湿度、5時間で45%、並びに高い湿度、1時間で各々43.6%及び38.1%)を付与した。更に、試験処方2及び5は、いずれの湿度レベルでも対照より優れていた。
アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマー及びポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8を唯一又は主なカール保持剤として含む、リンスアウト組成物は、約2:1〜23:1の比で用いられる場合、カールを保持するのに有効である。約4:1〜18:1の比が好ましく、約6:1〜9:1の比が最も好ましい。2種のポリマーの典型的な濃度は0.5〜5重量%(アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマー)及び0.1〜1重量%(ポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8)である。アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマー及びポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8が組成物中で唯一のスタイル保持剤である場合は特に、これらのレベルを下回ると、保持性の効果が下がる。これらのレベルを上回ると、視認でき、おそらく重くなる程度まで、通常の洗い流し後、過剰量の残渣が毛髪に残ることになり得る。しかし、指定した範囲内では、優れたスタイリング性及び保持性がリンスアウトタイプの製品で得られる。アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマー及びポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8に対する毛髪持続性は、予想外に良好な結果を得るのに十分である。保持性は、多くの市販のリーブインスタイリング製品と少なくとも同様に良好であり、非常に多くのヘアスタイリング製品のごわついた外見及び重たい感じはなく、べたついた外見及びべたつき感もない。事実、アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマーのジメチコン側鎖は、滑らかさ及び撥水性の追加の利点をもたらす。

Claims (7)
- 水を40%〜98%有する化粧品として許容できる基剤、
アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマー0.5〜5重量%、及び
ポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8 0.1〜1重量%
を含む局所ヘアスタイリング組成物であって、アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマーとポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8との比が2:1〜23:1である、上記組成物。 - アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマーが、15,000〜30,000Daのアクリレート及び15,000±20%Daのシリコーンを含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマーとポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8との比が、4:1〜18:1である、請求項2に記載の組成物。
- アクリレーツ/ジメチコンコポリマーとポリアクリル酸ジメチコンPEG-8との比が、6:1〜9:1である、請求項3に記載の組成物。
- 少なくとも1種の第1の界面活性剤10〜35重量%、
少なくとも1種の共界面活性剤1〜20重量%、
少なくとも1種の起泡増進剤0.1〜10重量%、及び
少なくとも1種の増粘剤0.1〜5重量%
を更に含むシャンプー組成物である、請求項1に記載の組成物。 - 毛束をカール又はスタイリングする方法であって、
請求項1に記載の組成物を準備する工程、
組成物少なくとも0.1gをスタイリングされる毛髪各3gに塗布する工程、
組成物が処理される毛髪の大部分に接触するように、毛束全体に組成物を作用させる工程、
毛束を水で洗い流し、過剰な組成物を毛髪から除去する工程、及び
毛髪を熱スタイリングし、1つ以上のカールを毛束に付与する工程
を含む、上記方法。 - 頭髪をカール又はスタイリングする方法であって、
請求項5に記載のシャンプー組成物を準備する工程、
スタイリングされる頭髪を濡らす工程、
シャンプー少なくとも0.5gをスタイリングされる毛髪各10gに塗布する工程、
頭髪全体にシャンプーを泡立てる工程、
毛髪を水で洗い流し、過剰なシャンプーを毛髪から除去する工程、及び
毛髪を熱スタイリングし、1つ以上のカールを頭髪に付与する工程
を含む、上記方法。
