Description
本発明の目的は、ガラスの製造に適し、効率よく製造できる、安価なディスクロール及びその基材を提供することである。
本発明によれば、以下のディスクロール用基材等が提供される。
1.セラミック繊維5〜9重量%、木節粘土20〜40重量%、ベントナイト2〜20重量%及びマイカ40〜60重量%を含むディスクロール用基材。
2.前記セラミック繊維が、アルミナ30重量%以上70重量%未満と、シリカ30重量%超70重量%以下を含む1記載のディスクロール用基材。
3.前記セラミック繊維のショットが5重量%以下である1又は2記載のディスクロール用基材。
4.さらにパルプと澱粉を含む1〜3のいずれか記載のディスクロール用基材。
5.アルミナ30重量%以上70重量%未満とシリカ30重量%超70重量%以下を含む粗繊維を脱硫して、ショットが5重量%以下のセラミック繊維を製造し、
水と、前記セラミック繊維と、木節粘土と、ベントナイトと、マイカとを混合し、水性スラリーを製造し、
水性スラリーを成形槽、又は、成形型に流し、濾水することにより、シートを製造するディスクロール用基材の製造方法。
6.1〜4のいずれか記載の基材から得られるリング状ディスク材を含むディスクロール。
7.1〜4のいずれか記載の基材から、複数のリング状ディスク材を打ち抜き、
前記複数のリング状ディスク材を、シャフトに嵌挿、圧縮してロール状積層物とする、
ことを含むディスクロールの製造方法。
8.ガラス溶融物を6記載のディスクロールを用いて搬送し、
ガラス溶融物を冷却するガラスの製造方法。
ディスクロールの形状にはフルカバーロール、片持ちロール、スタブロール等がある。
[ディスクロール用基材の作製と評価]
セラミック繊維(アルミナ40〜60重量%、シリカ60〜40重量%)7重量%、木節粘土30重量%、ベントナイト10重量%、白マイカ45重量%、パルプ6重量%、澱粉2重量%を配合した水性スラリーを調製し、抄造法によりシート(ディスクロール用基材)を抄造した。
TAPPI式手漉き抄造機による濾水時間で評価した。
○:100秒未満、△:100〜200秒、×:200秒超
○:良好、△:ムラあり、×:亀裂あり
ディスクロール用基材を幅30mm、長さ150mmに切り出し、900℃で3時間加熱した後、その線方向及び厚さ方向の長さを測定し、下記式に基づいて加熱収縮率を評価した。
[(加熱前の測定値−加熱後の測定値)/加熱前の測定値]×100
ディスクロール用基材を900℃に維持した加熱炉に3時間保持した後、室温まで自然冷却した。加熱前のもの及び冷却後の基材から幅30mm、長さ150mmの試験片を切り出し、島津製作所製「オートグラフAG−100kND」を用い、JIS K7171に準じて曲げ強度及び曲げ弾性率を評価した。
ディスクロール用基材から外径60mm内径20mmのディスク材を打ち抜き、直径20mmのステンレス製シャフトに長さ100mm、充填密度が表1の値になるようにロールビルドし、ディスクロールを作製した。
このディスクロールを、900℃に保持した電気炉に投入し、15時間後に取り出して室温25℃まで急冷した。そして、この加熱及び急冷のサイクルをディスクロールのクラック又はディスクセパレーションが発生するまで繰り返し、クラック又はディスクセパレーションが発生したサイクル数をカウントした。
上記に加えて、耐スポーリング性試験前のディスク材のShoreD硬度と、クラック後又はディスクセパレーション後の(試験後)のディスク材の硬度をそれぞれ評価した。
ディスクロール用基材から外径60mm内径20mmのディスク材を打ち抜き、直径
20mmのステンレス製シャフトに長さ100mm充填密度が表1の値になるようにロールビルドし、ディスクロールを作製した。
このディスクロールをシャフトの両端を架台で支持し、ディスク材からなるロール面に圧縮子により10kgf/cmの荷重を1mm/分で加え、そのときの荷重変形量(室温)を測定した。
また、上記ディスクロールを900℃の加熱炉に10時間保持し、加熱炉から取り出した後、室温まで冷却したものについても上記と同様にして荷重変形量(900℃10時間)を測定した。
セラミック繊維(アルミナ50重量%、シリカ50重量%)30重量%、木節粘土20重量%、ベントナイト10重量%、白マイカ32重量%、パルプ6重量%、澱粉2重量%を配合した水性スラリーを用いた他は実施例1と同様にして基材とディスクロールを製造して評価した。結果を表1に示す。

Claims (10)
- セラミック繊維5〜9重量%、木節粘土20〜40重量%、ベントナイト2〜20重量%及びマイカ40〜60重量%を含み、
前記セラミック繊維、前記木節粘土、前記ベントナイト及び前記マイカが合わせて基材の92重量%以上を占めるディスクロール用基材。 - 前記セラミック繊維が、アルミナ30重量%以上70重量%未満と、シリカ30重量%超70重量%以下を含む請求項1記載のディスクロール用基材。
- 前記セラミック繊維のショットが5重量%以下である請求項1記載のディスクロール用基材。
- さらにパルプと澱粉を含む請求項1〜3のいずれか記載のディスクロール用基材。
- 水と、セラミック繊維と、木節粘土と、ベントナイトと、マイカとを混合し、固形分含量で、セラミック繊維5〜9重量%、木節粘土20〜40重量%、ベントナイト2〜20重量%及びマイカ40〜60重量%であり、前記セラミック繊維、前記木節粘土、前記ベントナイト及び前記マイカが合わせて基材の92重量%以上を占めるように、水性スラリーを製造し、
前記セラミック繊維は、アルミナ30重量%以上70重量%未満とシリカ30重量%超70重量%以下を含み45μm以上のショットが5重量%以下であり、
水性スラリーを成形槽、又は、成形型に流し、濾水することにより、シートを製造するディスクロール用基材の製造方法。 - 請求項1〜4のいずれか記載の基材から得られるリング状ディスク材を含むディスクロール。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか記載の基材から、複数のリング状ディスク材を打ち抜き、
前記複数のリング状ディスク材を、シャフトに嵌挿、圧縮してロール状積層物とする、
ことを含むディスクロールの製造方法。 - ガラス溶融物を請求項6記載のディスクロールを用いて搬送し、
ガラス溶融物を冷却するガラスの製造方法。 - セラミック繊維5〜9重量%、木節粘土20〜40重量%、ベントナイト2〜20重量%及びマイカ40〜60重量%を含み、前記セラミック繊維、前記木節粘土、前記ベントナイト及び前記マイカが合わせて基材の92重量%以上を占めるディスクロール用ディスク材。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれか記載の前記ディスクロール用基材から、複数のリング状ディスク材を打ち抜く、ディスクロール用ディスク材の製造方法。
