mは、フェニルアゾメチンデンドリマーの末端基Rの数を表し、n=0のときはm=pであり、n≧1のときはm=2npである。)
担持工程では、前述の一般式(1)で表されるフェニルアゾメチンデンドリマー化合物に金属元素を配位させたデンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを含む溶液を用いて、浸漬又は塗布によって、基板の表面に前記デンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを担持させる。以下、デンドリマーの金属錯体、ダミー粒子、及びデンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを基板表面に担持させる方法について順に説明する。
担持工程で用いるデンドリマーの金属錯体は、下記一般式(1)で表されるフェニルアゾメチンデンドリマー化合物に金属元素を配位させた金属錯体である。
前述のデンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを含む溶液を、浸漬又は塗布によって基板と接触させた後に溶液中の溶媒を除去することで、基板の表面にデンドリマーの金属錯体の分子とダミー粒子の分子とを、単層で並んだ状態で担持させることができる。この場合、ダミー粒子の分子がデンドリマーの金属錯体の分子間に介在することで、基板表面でのデンドリマーの金属錯体の分子の凝集が抑制される。このため、デンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを含む溶液を用いることで、デンドリマーの金属錯体をほぼ単分子の状態で基板の表面に配置しやすい。
デンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを含む溶液を浸漬又は塗布によって基板と接触させることで、デンドリマーの金属錯体の分子とダミー粒子の分子とが単分子膜として基板表面に担持される。
基板にデンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを担持させた後は、基板からフェニルアゾメチンデンドリマー化合物とダミー粒子とを除去する。基板から、有機成分であるフェニルアゾメチンデンドリマー化合物とダミー粒子とを除去することで、フェニルアゾメチンデンドリマー化合物と錯体を形成していた金属化合物に由来する、金属単体又は金属化合物からなる金属含有ナノ粒子が基板上に生成する。金属含有ナノ粒子は金属元素を含むナノ粒子であればよく、金属元素のみからなるナノ粒子には限定されない。
デンドリマーの金属錯体として、下記構造のデンドリマーDPAG4erとGaCl3との錯体を用いた。このデンドリマーの金属錯体の粒子径は3.1nmである。ダミー粒子としては、下記構造のデンドリマーBzEG3を用いた。BzEG3のダミー粒子としての粒子径は3.3nmである。
デンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを含む溶液中の、デンドリマーの金属錯体のモル数(X)とダミー粒子のモル数(Y)との比率X/Yを20/80に変更することの他は、実施例1と同様にして金属含有ナノ粒子を調製した。金属ナノ粒子を調製するための所定の工程を経て得られた基板の表面をSTMで観察したところ、基板表面に平均粒子径4.67nmのドットが形成されていることが確認された。STMで観察した基板表面の像を図2に示す。また、基板表面をXPSにより分析したところ、Ga2O3に由来するピークが観察された。このことから、基板表面に形成されたナノ粒子は、有機物の分解過程でGa(OH)3より生成したGa2O3のナノ粒子であることが分かった。
デンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを含む溶液に変えて、濃度1μmol/LのDPAG4er−GaCl3錯体のアセトフェノン溶液を用いることの他は、HOPG基板に対して実施例1と同様の処理を施した。所定の工程を経て得られた基板の表面をSTMで観察したところ、基板表面には粒子状ではなく膜状のGa2O3が形成されていることが分かった。STMで観察した基板表面の像を図3に示す。
Claims (5)
- 下記一般式(1)で表されるフェニルアゾメチンデンドリマー化合物に金属元素を配位させたデンドリマーの金属錯体とダミー粒子とを含む溶液を用いて、浸漬又は塗布によって、基板の表面に前記デンドリマーの金属錯体と前記ダミー粒子とを担持させる工程と、
前記デンドリマーの金属錯体と前記ダミー粒子とを担持する基板から、前記フェニルアゾメチンデンドリマー化合物と前記ダミー粒子とを除去する工程と、
を含む、金属含有ナノ粒子の製造方法。
上記一般式(1)中のBは、前記Aに対して1個のアゾメチン結合を形成する次式
上記一般式(1)中のRは、末端基として前記Bにアゾメチン結合を形成する次式
nは、フェニルアゾメチンデンドリマーの前記Bの構造を介しての世代数を表し;
mは、フェニルアゾメチンデンドリマーの末端基Rの数を表し、n=0のときはm=pであり、n≧1のときはm=2npである。) - 前記溶液中の前記デンドリマーの金属錯体の濃度が0.001〜100μmol/Lである、請求項1に記載の金属含有ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記溶液中の前記ダミー粒子の濃度が0.1〜100μmol/Lである、請求項1又は2に記載の金属含有ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記溶液中での、前記デンドリマーの金属錯体のモル数Xの前記ダミー粒子のモル数Yに対する比X/Yが1/99〜20/80である、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の金属含有ナノ粒子の製造方法。
- 前記デンドリマーの金属錯体の粒子径が2.5〜3.5nmであり、前記ダミー粒子の粒子径が2.5〜3.5nmである、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の金属含有ナノ粒子の製造方法。
