Claims (11)
- 哺乳類対象の選定された腎動脈を包含する治療領域内の神経伝導を不活性化するための装置であって、
(a)前記対象の腎臓に隣接する位置で前記対象の皮膚と係合する、位相配列を有する治療用超音波変換器と、
(b)治療的に有効な不完全に集束された超音波エネルギーを少なくとも約1.0cm3の衝撃容積に伝達するように、前記治療用超音波変換器を作動させる作動装置と、
(c)前記位相配列と動作可能に結合される複数の画像処理エレメントを含む画像処理サブシステムと、
を含み、前記衝撃容積が、前記対象の前記選定された腎動脈を含む前記治療領域を包含し、前記衝撃容積の全体にわたって、前記選定された腎動脈に近接した神経の伝導を不活性化させるのに十分な強度又はレベルで前記治療的に有効な不完全に集束された超音波エネルギーを適用するために、前記作動装置が、超音波のタイミング及びエネルギーのパラメータを制御するように構成され、前記画像処理サブシステムは、画像処理超音波信号を送信して発生したエコーを受信するように構成され、前記画像処理サブシステムは、前記対象の前記腎動脈を含む身体領域の画像を表示するディスプレイを更に含み、前記作動装置は制御装置を含み、前記制御装置は、その一部が、前記選定された腎動脈を包含する前記衝撃容積において前記治療的に有効な不完全に集束された超音波エネルギーを生み出すために、前記位相配列での複数の変換器エレメントについて時間シーケンス及びエネルギーレベルを定めるように構成される、
装置。 - 前記画像処理サブシステムは、前記治療領域を含む前記対象の身体の一部の画像を、前記治療用超音波変換器により共通の基準フレーム内に取得し、前記ディスプレイは、前記衝撃容積の表現を重ねて前記取得された画像を表示する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記画像処理サブシステムが、超音波画像処理信号を送信しかつ前記対象の身体からエコーを受信する画像処理サブアセンブリを含み、前記画像処理サブアセンブリが、前記治療用超音波変換器に機械的に結合されており、前記画像処理サブアセンブリ及び前記治療用超音波変換器が変換器アセンブリを構成し、イメージャが、前記画像処理サブアセンブリから受信したエコーから前記画像を生成する、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記治療用超音波変換器が、圧縮性の結合媒体を通して前記対象の皮膚に結合され、前記圧縮性の結合媒体を圧縮して移動できるように、前記治療用超音波変換器に並べて配置された前記圧縮性の結合媒体を更に含む、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記治療用超音波変換器と前記画像処理サブアセンブリとの間の前記機械的結合が調節可能であり、前記装置が、前記画像処理サブアセンブリに対する前記治療用超音波変換器の位置を感知しかつ前記イメージャに送信するためのセンサを更に含む、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記位相配列の前記複数の変換器エレメントの少なくとも1つを作動させて超音波画像処理信号を送信して前記対象の身体からエコーを受信するために、前記位相配列を作動させるように前記画像処理サブシステムが構成及び配置されている、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記画像処理サブシステムが、前記エコーを受信するために、前記位相配列の1つ以上の前記変換器エレメントを制御する、請求項6に記載の装置。
- 前記制御装置が、
(a)使用者が識別した治療領域と、使用者が識別した超音波エネルギー経路とを受け取り、
(b)前記識別した治療領域と前記識別した超音波エネルギー経路とに基づいて、活性化シーケンスと変換器エレメントパワー出力とを決定し、
(c)前記決定した活性化シークエンスと前記決定した変換器エレメントパワー出力とに基づいて、前記複数の変換器エレメントから治療的に有効な不完全に集束された超音波エネルギーを伝達するために前記位相配列を作動させる、
ように構成される、請求項6に記載の装置。 - 約10〜約100ワットの音響パワーレベルで、約10〜約30秒間、前記治療的に有効な不完全に集束された超音波エネルギーを伝達するように、前記作動装置が作動して前記治療用超音波変換器を制御する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記治療的に有効な不完全に集束された超音波エネルギーが、前記治療領域の温度を65℃未満かつ42℃以上にするように、前記作動装置が作動して前記治療用超音波変換器を制御する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記画像処理サブシステムが、画像処理超音波信号を送信しかつエコーを受信するように構成されており、前記治療的に有効な不完全に集束された超音波エネルギーを前記画像処理信号と同期かつ交錯されたパルス関数で伝達するように、前記作動装置が作動して前記治療用超音波変換器を制御する、請求項2に記載の装置。
