Description
本出願は、2007年12月7日に出願された米国仮出願第61/012,238号に対して優先権を主張し、その全体の開示は本明細書で参照することにより全体として盛り込まれている。
Morgan & Lester(ニューヨーク州、ニューヨーク(1939年)、39〜54ページ)に記載されている。特定の光治療用途に適切な特定の例示的特性を有する燃焼灯は、このような従来の閃光電球の構造に基づいて、容易に適合、構築、または修正され得る。
図6Aは、直径約5mmを測定する隆起したサクランボ色血管腫の写真を示す。その血管腫を本発明の特定の例示的実施形態に従い、M3写真用閃光電球によって提供した単一パルスの光学的放射線に当該血管腫を曝すことによって治療した。反射装置をその燃焼灯の周辺に設け、その光学的放射線の濾光を全く用いなかった。そのサクランボ色血管腫の上方に位置する開口部を通じてその放射線を提供した。加えた放射線の流束量は約9〜10J/cm2であり、単一パルスにおいて提供した総エネルギーは約4Jであった。そのパルス持続時間は約10〜15ミリ秒であった。
図7Aは、直径約4mmである規則的な(平坦な)血管腫の写真を示す。本発明の特定の例示的実施形態に従い、M3写真用閃光電球によって提供した単一パルスの濾光していない光学的放射線にこの血管腫を曝した。反射装置をその燃焼灯の周辺に設け、その血管腫の上方に位置する開口部を通じてその放射線を提供した。加えた放射線の流束量は約9〜10J/cm2であり、単一パルスにおいて提供した総エネルギーは約4Jであった。そのパルス持続時間は約10〜15ミリ秒であった。
図8Aの写真に示す、直径約3mmを測定する茶色の年齢によるシミ(黒子)を、本発明の例示的実施形態に従う単一パルスの光学的放射線に当該シミを曝すことによって治療した。反射外被害内に位置するM3写真用閃光電球によって、その濾光していない放射線を提供した。その黒子の上方に開口部を配置した。その放射線パルスの総流束量は約9〜10J/cm2であり、その加えたエネルギーは約4Jであった。そのパルス持続時間は約10〜15ミリ秒であった。
Claims (13)
- 光学的放射線を少なくとも1つの生物組織に加えるための装置であって、
化学反応に基づいて前記放射線を発生させるように構成された放射線装置、および、
水フィルターを備え、
前記放射線装置は、封止された筐体および前記筐体の内部に設けられた可燃性材料を備え、
前記封止された筐体の外側表面の一部は、前記生物組織に接するように構成され、
前記水フィルターは、前記可燃性材料と前記封止された筐体の外側表面の一部との間に設けられ、
前記水フィルターは、前記光学的放射線の一部を濾光し、且つ、前記生物組織を冷却するために構成され、
前記光学的放射線は、前記少なくとも1つの生物組織の少なくとも一部に生物学的影響をもたらす装置。 - 前記可燃性材料が金属を含み、前記金属が、アルミニウム、ヒドロナリウム、またはアルミニウム合金のうち少なくとも1つを含み、および/または、前記可燃性材料が導線および/または薄片の形態で設けられる、請求項1に記載の装置。

- 少なくとも一部の前記光学的放射線を、前記少なくとも1つの生物組織に向けるように構成された光学的装置をさらに備え、前記光学的装置が反射表面を備え、および/または、前記反射表面が、少なくとも一部の前記放射線装置の上または内部のうち少なくとも一つに設けられる反射層を備え、および/または、
前記少なくとも1つの生物組織から所定の距離に、前記放射線装置を位置または配置するように構成された外被をさらに備え、少なくとも一部の前記外被が反射表面を備える、請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の装置。 - 前記放射線の源が、少なくとも1つのパルスの形態で前記光学的放射線を提供するように構成され、前記少なくとも1つのパルスの持続時間が(i)約5〜約200ミリ秒の間、(ii)約10〜約100ミリ秒の間、および/または(iii)約10〜約50ミリ秒の間である、請求項1〜5の何れか1項に記載の装置。
- 前記組織上に設けられた、前記少なくとも1つのパルスの光学的放射線の流束量が(i)約1〜約30J/cm2の間、および/または(ii)約1〜約15J/cm2の間である、請求項6に記載の装置。
