Description
The present invention relates to an improvement in a position adjustment device for a steering wheel for adjusting the height position and front / rear position of the steering wheel according to the physique and driving posture of the driver. Specifically, when the adjustment lever is rotated to adjust the position of the steering wheel, the adjustment lever is prevented from rotating vigorously, and the driver operating the adjustment lever is uncomfortable. It is to prevent giving.
A steering wheel position adjusting device is widely known. First, an example of a conventional structure of an automobile steering device will be described based on the description in Patent Document 1. The automobile steering device is configured as shown in FIG. 12, and transmits the rotation of the steering wheel 1 to the input shaft 3 of the
With respect to the above-described automobile steering device, a position adjusting device for adjusting the height position and front / rear position of the steering wheel 1 according to the physique and driving posture of the driver is incorporated. Therefore, in the case of the conventional structure shown in FIG. 12, the upper front end portion of the
The
As a more specific structure of the steering wheel position adjusting device, Patent Document 1 also describes a structure as shown in FIGS. The feature of the present invention is that the position of the steering wheel 1 (see FIG. 12) can be adjusted as in the second example of the conventional structure shown in FIGS. 13 to 16, or the steering wheel 1 is held in the adjusted position. For this purpose, for example, the structure using a cam-type expansion / contraction mechanism is improved. As for the position adjustment mechanism itself of the steering wheel 1, various types of conventionally known steering wheels including a cam type expansion / contraction mechanism including the second example of the conventional structure shown in FIGS. Since this is the same as the position adjusting device, first, a second example of this conventional structure will be described.
The second example of this conventional structure also includes a telescopic mechanism for adjusting the front-rear position in addition to the tilt mechanism for adjusting the vertical position of the steering wheel 1. For this purpose, the
A
The
Further, the
The
When adjusting the position of the steering wheel 1, the
Then, after adjusting the position of the steering wheel 1, the adjusting
As described above, the steering wheel position adjusting device incorporating the
The above-described problem is likely to be conspicuous when the
In view of the circumstances as described above, the present invention prevents the adjusting lever from rotating vigorously when the adjusting lever is rotated so as to adjust the position of the steering wheel. The present invention was invented to realize a steering wheel position adjusting device that does not cause discomfort to the driver.

And this expansion-contraction type damper is comprised from a cylinder part, the rod for dampers, and grease.
Among these, the cylinder part is made into the cylinder shape which the front-end | tip part opened.
In addition, the damper rod is loosely inserted into the cylinder part from the tip end of the cylinder part to the intermediate part.
The grease is interposed between the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder part and the outer peripheral surface of the damper rod.
And the base end of the cylinder part of the telescopic damper is attached to one of a part rotating around the adjustment rod together with the adjustment lever and a part fixed to the other support plate part, The tip of the damper rod is also supported on the other side so as to be able to swing and displace around the pivot arranged in the width direction and to absorb the axial dimensional change of the expansion / contraction mechanism.
Further, when the present invention is carried out, the front portion of the steering column is supported so as to be swingable and displaceable about a tilt shaft provided in the width direction. And the said fixed side through-hole is made into the up-down direction long hole long to an up-down direction, and the up-down position of the said steering wheel can be adjusted by displacing the said adjustment rod along these both up-down direction long holes.
Further, the position of the connecting portion between the both end portions of the telescopic damper and the mating member is restricted.
In order to regulate the positions of both the connecting portions, the adjustment lever is rotated to a position where the vertical position of the steering wheel can be adjusted, and the adjustment is performed in a state where the steering wheel is at an adjustable upper end position. The center position of the connecting portion in the state where the center position of the connecting portion between the portion rotating around the adjusting rod together with the lever and the one end portion of the telescopic damper is the upper end side central position and also the lower end position. Is assumed to be the center position on the lower end side.
The center position of the connecting portion between the other end portion of the telescopic damper and the portion fixed to the other support plate portion is perpendicular to the line segment connecting the upper end side center position and the lower end side center position. It exists on a line, or on a straight line that passes through the midpoint of this line and is inclined with respect to the vertical bisector by an angle within 10 degrees (preferably within 5 degrees) in absolute value.
When the present invention as described above is carried out, preferably, the base end portion of the cylinder portion is excluded from the air flow path for sucking and exhausting air into the internal space of the cylinder portion as in the invention described in claim 3. Close up.
Then, the grease protruding from between the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder portion and the outer peripheral surface of the damper rod is stored in a portion where the tip opening side is blocked by the damper rod at the inner portion of the cylinder portion. Provide a grease reservoir for this purpose.
In the case of carrying out the invention described in claim 3 , preferably, as in the invention described in claim 4 , the air flow path is arranged between the adjustment position of the steering wheel and the rotation position of the adjustment lever. Regardless, the grease in the grease reservoir is provided at a position where it does not leak through the air flow path based on gravity.
Further, when the present invention is carried out (when a telescopic damper composed of a cylinder portion, a damper rod and grease is used as the damper), preferably, as in the invention described in claim 5 , The inner peripheral surface of the cylinder portion and the outer peripheral surface of the damper rod are concave and convex surfaces in which concave portions and convex portions are alternately continued in the circumferential direction. And the opposing area of these both peripheral surfaces is ensured.

Further, when the steering wheel position adjusting device of the present invention is implemented, for example, as in the invention described in claim 6 , the steering column is a telescopic steering column in which an outer column and an inner column are combined so that they can extend and contract. To do.
Further, the steering shaft is a telescopic steering shaft in which an outer shaft and an inner shaft are combined so that torque can be transmitted and expanded and contracted.
Further, the sandwiched portion is a column member provided on the rear side of the outer column and the inner column, and the displacement side through hole is a long longitudinal hole that is long in the axial direction of the column member. .
And the front-rear position of the steering wheel can be adjusted within a range in which the adjustment rod can be displaced in the longitudinal slot.
Further, when the present invention is carried out (when a telescopic damper composed of a cylinder portion, a damper rod and grease is used as a damper), preferably, as in the invention described in claim 7 , the kinematic viscosity of the base oil of the grease, the range of 500~50000mm 2 / s at 40 ° C., and more preferably regulated to a range of 5000~20000mm 2 / s at 40 ° C..
Furthermore, when the present invention is carried out (when a telescopic damper composed of a cylinder portion, a damper rod, and grease is used as the damper), preferably, as in the invention described in
When carrying out the invention described in
Alternatively, as in the invention described in claim 10 , the outer diameter side material can be a metal, and the inner diameter side material can be a synthetic resin. As these metals and synthetic resins, various materials can be used as long as they satisfy the relationship of the linear expansion coefficient and can ensure the required oil resistance, strength and rigidity.
According to the steering wheel position adjusting device of the present invention configured as described above, for example, as in the invention described in
In particular, when the telescopic damper is used as in the present invention, a sufficient damping effect can be obtained with a small damper, and the discomfort can be prevented even when the installation space is limited.
In this case, if a grease reservoir is provided as in the inventions described in claims 3 and 4 and an air flow path in which the installation position is properly regulated is provided, the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder portion and the outer peripheral surface of the damper rod In the meantime, a sufficient amount of grease can be retained over a long period of time, and the effect of preventing discomfort can be maintained over a long period of time.
Further, the present invention not only as a tilt-type steering apparatus for adjusting the vertical position of the scan tearing wheel, even tilt telescopic type steering device for adjusting the vertical position and longitudinal position of the steering wheel to a further Can be implemented.
When implemented as a tilt-type steering device or tilt-telescopic-type steering device, when using a telescopic damper as the damper, the installation positions of the connecting portions at both ends of the telescopic damper are appropriately regulated as in the present invention. In this case, when the height position of the steering wheel is adjusted, the expansion / contraction amount of the telescopic damper can be reduced. As a result, the extent to which the telescopic damper becomes a resistance when adjusting the vertical position of the steering wheel can be reduced (to an extent that can be almost ignored).
Further, when the telescopic damper is used as the damper, as in the invention described in claim 5 , if the opposing area between the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder portion and the outer peripheral surface of the damper rod is secured, the size can be further reduced. With this telescopic damper, a sufficient damper effect can be obtained.
In this case, if the viscosity of the grease interposed between the two peripheral surfaces is restricted to a range of 500 to 50000 mm 2 / s (40 ° C.) as in the invention described in claim 7 , the discomfort In particular, if the viscosity is regulated in the range of 5000 to 20000 mm 2 / s (40 ° C.), the discomfort can be sufficiently prevented even if the shape of both peripheral surfaces is a simple cylindrical surface. I can plan.
Further, as in the inventions described in
1 to 11 show an example of an embodiment of the present invention. The feature of the present invention, including this example, is a structure provided with a cam-type expansion / contraction mechanism. When the
In the steering wheel position adjusting device of this example, a
The
The shape of the inner peripheral surface of the
Accordingly, the viscosity of the
First, the structure of the coupling support part at both ends of the
In order to connect the tip of the
With respect to the base end portion of the
In the state where the position of the steering wheel 1 can be adjusted and in the state where the position is adjusted and adjusted, the protruding
Next, when the
In addition, in order to keep the resistance to adjusting the vertical position low, the position of the connecting portion between the both ends of the
FIG. 10 shows a state where the adjustment position of the steering wheel 1 can be adjusted by rotating the

Next, the structure of the
In order to prevent the
In the case of this example in order to prevent the deterioration of the damper performance of the
In addition, the
Furthermore, regardless of the adjustment position of the steering wheel 1 and the rotation position of the
That is, the posture of the
According to the steering wheel position adjusting device of the present example configured as described above, when the adjusting
The material of the
FN=(η・A・kF)/h
Specifically, the thickness h of the
F N = (η · A · k F ) / h
As is clear from this equation, as the viscosity η increases and the thickness h decreases, the viscous frictional force acting between the peripheral surfaces, that is, the damper performance of the
When implementing the present invention, it can be implemented as a tilt / telescopic steering device for adjusting the vertical position and front / rear position of the steering wheel as shown in the figure, and of course, for adjusting only the vertical position of the steering wheel. It can also be the implementation as a tilt-type steering apparatus.
Further, as a damper for reducing the momentum at which the adjusting lever opens, an expansion / contraction damper incorporating an orifice, and a multi-plate rotary damper can be used in addition to the structure shown in the figure. However, if you use a telescopic damper that combines the cylinder part, damper rod, and grease, as shown in the figure, you will not only be able to produce it at low cost, but you will also be able to stably obtain a sufficient damping effect with a small damper. Even when the installation space is limited, the above-described discomfort can be effectively prevented.
