Description
本出願は、2010年8月17日に出願された米国仮特許出第61/374560号に対する利益を請求し、その内容全体は、すべての目的のために参照することにより本出願に組み込まれる。
本発明の一実施態様に従って固定具を製作して、ケーブル保持力を試験した。図10Aの平面図及び図10Bの斜視図に示されるように、基体1002を有する取り付け部1000を組み立てた。基体1002は、ケーブル1008及び保持球1004を受け入れるようにサイズ設定され空洞1006を有していた。図10C及び図10Dは、空洞1006の中心線に沿った断面図である。図示したように、ケーブル1008を空洞1006内に設置した。次に、ボール球1004を空洞1006に押し込み、図10Dに示されるようにケーブルを変形させた。次に、医療等級のUV硬化型接着剤を空洞内に供給し、空洞、ボールベアリング及び変形したケーブルを部分的に一体化した。
実施例1からの固定具にケーブルセクションを嵌め込み、ボールベアリングを空洞に押し込み、接着剤をオーバコートとして塗布した。ボールベアリングを押し込んで保持するために必要な圧縮荷重を、アメテク(Ametek(登録商標))(ペオリ、ペンシルベニア州)チャティリオン(Chatillion(登録商標))DFX−050の圧縮ゲージを使用して記録した。接着剤を硬化させた後、ケーブルに張力を加えて保持荷重を決定した。インストロン(Instron(登録商標))(ノーウッド、マサチューセッツ州)引張試験機及びロードセルを使用して、ケーブルに張力を加えた。20の組立体を評価した。
Claims (11)
- カテーテルを通して延びる複数の展開ラインを介した医療装置の展開に使用するためのハンドル組立体であって、
各々が前記複数のラインの少なくとも1つに取り付けられている複数の取り外し可能な部材にして、該ハンドル組立体の縦軸線からオフセットしているとともに、該ハンドル組立体の順次作動させられる部分を形成している複数の取り外し可能な部材と、
前記取り外し可能な部材とは独立に前記医療装置を作動させるために、前記カテーテルを通して延びるワイヤを変位させるように構成された、該ハンドル組立体の前記縦軸線に沿う作動機構と、を具備しており
前記複数のラインの各々は、前記医療装置の選択的な展開又は作動のために前記医療装置と作動可能に連結されており、前記複数の取り外し可能な部材は、前記複数の取り外し可能な部材が1つずつ順次使用者により操作されるように、且つ前記複数の取り外し可能な部材の各々の取り外しによって、前記複数の取り外し可能な部材の他の1つが前記使用者により操作されるように、取り外し可能に互いに取り付けられている、ハンドル組立体。 - 前記ワイヤが、縦軸線を中心とする前記ロッドの選択的な回転に応じて前記縦軸線に沿って前記ナットと共に並進移動するように、前記作動機構が、前記縦軸線に沿って延びるねじ付きロッドと、前記ワイヤに連結されかつ前記ロッドにねじ係合されたナットとを含む、請求項1に記載のハンドル組立体。
- 前記縦軸線と概ね同軸に整列されるチューブを含む、請求項2に記載のハンドル組立体。
- 前記ロッドが、該ロッドを通して前記チューブを受容する中心孔を含むとともに、前記縦軸線を中心に回転可能である、請求項3に記載のハンドル組立体。
- ガイドワイヤが前記カテーテル及び前記チューブを通して挿入可能であるように、前記チューブが、前記カテーテルを通して延びる少なくとも1つの管腔と概ね連続して長手方向に延びる孔を含む、請求項3に記載のハンドル組立体。
- 前記カテーテルの近位端を受容しかつ支持する遠位部と、反対側の近位部との間に延びるハウジングを含む、請求項5に記載のハンドル組立体。
- 前記チューブの前記孔が前記カテーテルと前記ハウジングの前記近位部との間に延び、その結果、前記ガイドワイヤが、前記近位部の近くの前記ハウジングの外側へのアクセスのために、前記カテーテルから前記チューブを通して送られることができる、請求項6に記載のハンドル組立体。
- 前記ワイヤが、前記カテーテルの遠位端を操縦するための操縦ワイヤである、請求項1に記載のハンドル組立体。
- カテーテルを通して延びる複数の展開ラインを介した医療装置の展開に使用するためのハンドル組立体であって、
各々が前記複数の展開ラインの少なくとも1つに取り付けられている複数の取り外し可能な部材にして、該ハンドル組立体の縦軸線からオフセットしているとともに、該ハンドル組立体の順次作動させられる部分を形成している複数の取り外し可能な部材と、
前記複数の展開ラインとは独立に前記医療装置を操作するために、前記カテーテルを通して延びるワイヤを変位させるように構成された、該ハンドル組立体の前記縦軸線に沿う作動機構と、を具備しており、
前記作動機構は、
縦軸線に沿って延びるねじ付きロッドと、
ナット及び前記ワイヤが、前記縦軸線を中心とする前記ロッドの選択的な回転に応じて概ね前記縦軸線に沿って並進移動するように、前記ロッドにねじ係合されかつ前記ワイヤの端部に連結されるナットと、
前記縦軸線を中心とする前記ロッドの回転のために前記ロッドを通して延びかつ前記ロッドに回転可能に連結されるチューブと、を有しており、
前記チューブが、前記カテーテルの少なくとも1つの管腔と概ね連続して、前記カテーテル及び前記ハンドル組立体を通したガイドワイヤの布線を可能にする孔をさらに含む、ハンドル組立体。 - カテーテルを通して延びる複数の展開ラインを介した医療装置の展開に使用するためのハンドル組立体であって、
各々が前記複数の展開ラインの少なくとも1つに取り付けられている複数の取り外し可能な部材にして、該ハンドル組立体の縦軸線からオフセットしているとともに、該ハンドル組立体の順次作動させられる部分を形成している複数の取り外し可能な部材と、

縦軸線に沿って延びるねじ付きロッドと、
ナット及び前記ワイヤが、前記縦軸線を中心とする前記ロッドの選択的な回転に応じて概ね前記縦軸線に沿って並進移動するように、前記ロッドにねじ係合されかつ前記ワイヤの端部に連結されるナットと、
前記縦軸線を中心とする回転のための前記ねじ付きロッドを回転可能に支持するための外側支持面と、前記ハンドル組立体の外側のガイドワイヤにアクセスするために前記ガイドワイヤが前記カテーテル及び前記ハンドル組立体を通過することを可能にするように前記カテーテルの管腔と概ね連続している孔を画定する反対側の内側表面とを有するチューブと、を有するハンドル組立体。 - 前記ワイヤが、前記カテーテルの遠位端を操縦するための操縦ワイヤである、請求項10に記載のハンドル組立体。
