Claims (19)
- 脳内の異常神経活動の検出のための装置において、前記装置が、
近端及び遠端並びに複数本の内腔を有する導入器であって、前記内腔のそれぞれにポートが結合され、前記ポートが前記導入器の遠位部分に配置され、前記近端が電気コンタクトに結合されるように構成された、導入器、
前記導入器の遠位部分に配置された基準電極、及び
前記複数本の内腔内を進むことができる少なくとも4本の電極部材、
を備え、
前記電極部材のそれぞれが絶縁された近位部分及び露出された遠位部分を有し、前記電極部材のそれぞれが未展開状態及び展開状態を有し、前記電極部材が前記展開状態にあるときに屈曲形状を有するように前記電極部材の遠位部分があらかじめ成形され、
前記少なくとも4本の電極部材が前記展開状態にあるときに、前記少なくとも4本の電極部材の3本が、相互に実質的に直交関係にあるように個々に展開可能であり、前記電極部材の前記屈曲が、前記露出遠位部分が検出空間を定めるような屈曲であり、
前記少なくとも4本の電極部材の前記3本のそれぞれが前記導入器の遠位端で原点を有する直交座標系の異なる軸を定め、且つ

- 前記電極部材の組織内に進入する長さが約0.5cmから約1.5cmであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の装置。
- 脳内の異常神経活動の検出のための装置において、前記装置が、
近端及び遠端並びに内腔を有する導入器であって、前記内腔が前記導入器の遠位部分に配置された少なくとも3つのポートを有し、前記近端が電気コンタクトに結合されるように構成された、導入器、
前記内腔の遠位部分内に配置された偏向器、
前記導入器の遠位部分に配置された基準電極、及び
前記内腔内を進むことができる少なくとも4本の電極部材、
を備え、
前記電極部材のそれぞれが前記電極部材の遠端を露出させておくように前記電極部材の長さに沿って延びる絶縁外被を有し、前記電極部材のそれぞれが未展開状態及び展開状態を有し、
前記少なくとも4本の電極部材の3本が展開状態であるとき、前記少なくとも4本の電極部材の前記3本が、相互に実質的に直交関係にあるように個々に展開可能であり、前記電極部材が前記ポートから遠位に進出するにつれて、前記電極部材が屈曲形状を有し、よって前記電極部材の前記露出遠位部分が検出空間を定めるように、前記偏向器が前記電極部材を偏向させ、
前記少なくとも4本の電極部材の前記3本のそれぞれが前記導入器の遠位端で原点を有する直交座標系の異なる軸を定め、
且つ前記電極部材が前記検出空間に基づいて異常神経活動の病巣の方向を検出するように構成されていることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記検出空間が前記異常神経活動によって発生する電場ベクトルを決定できることを特徴とする請求項18に記載の装置。
