Claims (10)
- ネットワークデバイスにより、前記ネットワークデバイスと関連付けられたワイヤレスアクセスネットワークでの高トラフィック負荷を検出することと、
前記ネットワークデバイスによりブロードキャストチャネルを介して複数のモバイル端末へ、前記高トラフィック負荷を示すシグナリングメッセージを送信することと
を含み、
前記シグナリングメッセージは、前記複数のモバイル端末のうちの1のモバイル端末によって受信され、前記モバイル端末に、前記モバイル端末に対して特定の手法でワイヤレスネットワークアクセス要求を選択的に限定させるように構成され、前記特定の手法は、自動同期を行うバックグラウンドアクティビティの更新間隔を変更することを含む、方法。 - 前記ネットワークデバイスにより、前記ワイヤレスアクセスネットワークと関連付けられた利用度情報をモニタリングすることをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ネットワークデバイスにより、前記複数のモバイル端末からアクセス要求を受信することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記シグナリングメッセージはシステム情報ブロックに含まれる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記システム情報ブロックは、
前記ワイヤレスアクセスネットワークについての通常のトラフィック負荷もしくは高トラフィック負荷のうちの1つを示すように構成された1ビットブロック、または
前記ワイヤレスアクセスネットワークについての複数のトラフィック負荷レベルのうちの1つを示すように構成された2ビットブロック、
を含む、請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記高トラフィック負荷を検出することは、
現在の使用レベルを特定の容量閾値と比較すること、または
ある所定の期間内に達成されると予想される特定の容量リミットへ向かう傾向を識別すること、
を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記モバイル端末により、前記高トラフィック負荷を示す前記シグナリングメッセージに基づいて、前記ネットワークデバイスにアクセス要求を低減させるためのモバイル端末特有の限定を適用することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ネットワークデバイスと関連付けられた前記ワイヤレスアクセスネットワークついての通常のトラフィック負荷を検出することと、
前記ブロードキャストチャネルを介して前記複数のモバイル端末へ、前記通常のトラフィック負荷を示すシグナリングメッセージを送信することと、
をさらに含み、
前記シグナリングメッセージは、前記モバイル端末によって受信され、前記モバイル端末に、前記モバイル端末によるワイヤレスネットワークアクセス要求に対する前記選択的な限定を終了させるように構成される、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 複数の命令を格納するためのメモリと、
前記メモリ内の前記命令を実行して、
ネットワークデバイスと関連付けられたワイヤレスアクセスネットワークについての高トラフィック負荷を検出し、
ネットワークデバイスと関連付けられた前記ワイヤレスアクセスネットワーク内のモバイル端末へ、前記高トラフィック負荷を示すシグナリングメッセージをブロードキャストする
ように構成されたプロセッサと、
を備え、
前記シグナリングメッセージは、モバイル端末に、特定の手法でネットワークデバイスへのワイヤレスネットワークアクセス要求を選択的に限定させ、前記特定の手法は、自動同期を行うバックグラウンドアクティビティの更新間隔を変更することを含む、ネットワークデバイス。 - 前記シグナリングメッセージは、前記ネットワークデバイスのための指定されたブロードキャストチャネルを用いてブロードキャストされる、請求項9に記載のデバイス。
