Claims (4)

既設トンネルの内壁に設置されたエントランス内をトンネルの径方向へ少なくとも前進可能な筒状の装置本体と、
前記装置本体を前進させるべく前記既設トンネル内に設置される複数本の推進ジャッキと、
前記装置本体内を前後方向へ仕切る隔壁にシール装置を介して上下方向へ揺動可能でかつ左右方向へ移動可能に貫通支持された伸縮可能なカッター支持筒と、
前記カッター支持筒の隔壁後方の筒軸方向中間部を上下方向へ揺動可能に枢支しつつ装置本体に左右方向へ移動可能に支持されたサドル部材と、
前記カッター支持筒を上下方向に揺動させる第1の駆動手段と、
前記サドル部材を左右方向に移動させる第2の駆動手段と、
前記カッター支持筒の隔壁前方に位置する先端部に取着されたドラムカッターと、
前記隔壁に吸込口を貫通させて隔壁前方の装置本体内の掘削土砂を取り込む排出コンベアとを備え
前記シール装置は、
前記カッター支持筒の上下方向の揺動と左右方向の移動を許容する開口を有して前記隔壁に空けられた取付孔に固定された円弧状のガイド板と、
前記ガイド板の裏面に摺接されて同ガイド板の開口を常時閉塞し得ると共に、その中央部に設けた球面軸受部と前記カッター支持筒外周に設けた球形のジャーナル部とで同カッター支持筒を貫通支持する閉塞板と、
前記閉塞板の裏面を装置本体側から常時前方へ押圧するガイドフレームとからなる
ことを特徴とする既設トンネルの拡幅装置。
