Claims (10)
- 外側ハウジングと、前記外側ハウジング内に設けられ、少なくとも3つの外向きに延在する部分を備える中心導体とを有するヨークを備える電気コネクタ・アセンブリであって、
前記中心導体の第1の外向きに延在する部分および第2の外向きに延在する部分は、それぞれ第1および第2の電力ケーブルに接続されており、
前記中心導体の第3の外向きに延在する部分は、前記中心導体に機械的および電気的に接続される永久接地点を有し、前記永久接地点は、システム接地に接続された接地装置が前記永久接地点に付設されたときに、前記電気コネクタ・アセンブリ全体が接地されるようにし、
前記永久接地点はさらに、前記ヨークの前記外側ハウジングと一体的に形成されたポートと、前記ポート内に位置付けられて、前記中心導体の一部分内へと延在する接触子と、前記ポートの前記接触子と噛み合わされ、接地装置への取り付けのために前記ヨークの前記外側ハウジングから延在する接地棒とを備えることを特徴とする電気コネクタ・アセンブリ。 - 前記ヨークは、2方ヨーク、3方ヨーク、または4方ヨークを含む、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ・アセンブリ。
- 前記第1の外向きに延在する部分および前記第2の外向きに延在する部分の各々は、それぞれ前記第1および第2の電力ケーブルに接続するための鋤形部分をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ・アセンブリ。
- それぞれ前記第1および第2の電力ケーブルに接続された第1および第2の圧着コネクタをさらに備え、前記第1および第2の圧着コネクタは、それぞれ前記第1および第2の外向きに延在する部分の前記鋤形部分に固着するように構成される、請求項3に記載の電気コネクタ・アセンブリ。
- 前記第1の外向きに延在する部分と前記第1の電力ケーブルとの間のインターフェイスを提供するための第1のケーブル・レセプタクル、および、前記第2の外向きに延在する部分と前記第2の電力ケーブルとの間のインターフェイスを提供するための第2のケーブル・レセプタクルをさらに備え、前記第1および第2のケーブル・レセプタクルは、前記ヨークの前記外側ハウジングへ係合するように構成される、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ・アセンブリ。
- 前記接地棒は、前記接触子の雌ねじと、前記接地棒の対応するねじ付き雄突起とによって前記ポートの前記接触子に噛み合わされる、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ・アセンブリ。
- 前記接地棒は、ボール・タイプの接地クランプへの取り付けのために、前記ヨークの前記外側ハウジングから延在する前記接地棒の、前記外向きに延在する部分上に、丸められたボール・エンドをさらに備える、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ・アセンブリ。
- 前記接地棒への取り付けのために使用される前記接地装置は、棒材タイプの接地クランプである、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ・アセンブリ。
- 前記永久接地点は取り外し可能な接地棒キャップをさらに備え、前記接地棒キャップは、前記電気コネクタ・アセンブリと、連結された電力ケーブルとが通電されるときには、前記永久接地点の上方に正確に適合して前記永久接地点を充分に被覆するように形作られ、前記電気コネクタ・アセンブリと、連結された電力ケーブルとが接地されて保守点検される必要があるときには、前記永久接地点から取り外すことができる、請求項1に記載の電気コネクタ・アセンブリ。
- 電気コネクタ・アセンブリを接地するための方法であって、
電気コネクタのヨークに電気接続された永久接地点から成る外向きに延在する部分を有する電気コネクタを提供する工程を含み、
前記永久接地点は、前記ヨークの外側ハウジングと一体的に形成されたポートと、前記ポート内に位置付けられて、前記ヨークの中心導体の一部分内へと延在する接触子と、前記ポートの前記接触子に噛み合わされ、接地装置へ取り付けるために前記ヨークの前記外側ハウジングから延在する接地棒とを備えており、
前記方法は、さらに、
電気コネクタ・アセンブリ、および、前記電気コネクタ・アセンブリに電気接続された任意の機器を非通電にする工程と、
前記永久接地点の上方に正確に適合して前記永久接地点を充分に被覆するように形作られた、取り外し可能な接地棒キャップを取り外す工程と、
システム接地にも接続されている接地装置を、前記永久接地点に接続して、前記電気コネクタ・アセンブリを安全に接地する工程と、
前記電気コネクタ・アセンブリに電気接続された機器に対し、保守点検を実施する工程と、
前記永久接地点から前記接地装置を切り離す工程と、
前記永久接地点の上方に、前記取り外し可能な接地棒キャップを再設置する工程と、
前記電気コネクタ・アセンブリ、および、前記電気コネクタ・アセンブリに電気接続された任意の機器に再通電する工程とを含む、電気コネクタ・アセンブリを接地するための方法。
