ただし、δはボールとトラック溝との接触角、γはトラック溝の傾斜角とする。これにより、位相角φ=0°の2次元断面におけるくさび角2τ’からトラック溝の諸元を決定することができるので、トラック溝の諸元設定作業を極めて簡素化することできる。また、このような諸元設計により、最大作動角において実績のある従来の等速自在継手と同等の強度、耐久性を確保することができる。

Claims (11)
- 球状内周面に軸方向に延びる複数のトラック溝が形成され、軸方向に離間する開口側と奥側を有する外側継手部材と、球状外周面に前記外側継手部材のトラック溝と対をなす複数のトラック溝が形成された内側継手部材と、前記外側継手部材のトラック溝と内側継手部材のトラック溝との間に介在してトルクを伝達する複数のボールと、このボールをポケット内に保持し、前記外側継手部材の球状内周面と内側継手部材の球状外周面とに嵌合する球状外周面と球状内周面を有する保持器とを備えた固定式等速自在継手において、
前記外側継手部材のトラック溝は、奥側に位置する第1のトラック溝部(7a)と、開口側に位置する第2のトラック溝部(7b)とからなり、前記第1のトラック溝部(7a)は、継手中心(O)に対して軸方向にオフセットのない曲率中心をもつ円弧状のボール軌道中心線(Xa)を有し、少なくともボール軌道中心線(Xa)と継手中心(O)を含む平面(M)が継手の軸線(N−N)に対して傾斜すると共にその傾斜方向が周方向に隣り合う前記第1のトラック溝部(7a)で互いに反対方向に形成されており、前記第2のトラック溝部(7b)は、円弧状のボール軌道中心線(Xb)を有し、その曲率中心は前記第1のトラック溝部(7a)のボール軌道中心線(Xa)より半径方向外側にオフセットされており、前記第1のトラック溝部(7a)のボール軌道中心線(Xa)の端部(A)は、前記継手中心(O)より開口側に位置し、この位置が前記継手中心(O)から開口側における有効トラック長さの少なくとも60%を占め、前記端部(A)に前記第2のトラック溝部(7b)のボール軌道中心線(Xb)が接続されたものであって、前記内側継手部材のトラック溝のボール軌道中心線(Y)は、作動角0°の状態で継手中心(O)を含む平面(P)を基準として、前記外側継手部材の対となるトラック溝のボール軌道中心線(X)と鏡像対称に形成されていることを特徴とする固定式等速自在継手。 - 前記第1のトラック溝部(7a)のボール軌道中心線(Xa)の開口側の端部(A)と継手中心(O)とを結ぶ直線(L)が、前記継手中心(O)を含む平面(P)に対してなす角(β)を14°〜16°に設定したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の固定式等速自在継手。
- 前記固定式等速自在継手の最大作動角におけるトラック溝の実際のくさび角(2τ)を2τ≦43°より、次式に基づいて、位相角φ=0°の2次元断面におけるくさび角2τ’を設定したことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の固定式等速自在継手。

ただし、δはボールとトラック溝との接触角、γはトラック溝の傾斜角とする。 - 前記固定式等速自在継手の最大作動角において、前記保持器のポケットに対して半径方向外方に最も移動した前記ボールと前記ポケットの接触点と、前記保持器の球状外周面との間に余裕量(σ)が形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の固定式等速自在継手。
- 前記第1のトラック溝部(7a)のボール軌道中心線(Xa)の曲率中心を、継手の軸線(N−N)上に配置したことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の固定式等速自在継手。
- 前記第1のトラック溝部(7a)のボール軌道中心線(Xa)の曲率中心を、継手の軸線(N−N)より半径方向にオフセットさせたことを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項2に記載の固定式等速自在継手。
- 前記保持器の球状外周面と球状内周面とが、継手中心(O)に対して軸方向にオフセットされた曲率中心を有することを特徴とする請求項1又は請求項4に記載の固定式等速自在継手。
- 前記第2のトラック溝部(7b)の円弧状のボール軌道中心線(Xb)の曲率中心が、さらに継手中心(O)より開口側にオフセットされていることを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の固定式等速自在継手。
- 前記第2のトラック溝部(7b)の円弧状のボール軌道中心線(Xb)の曲率中心が、前記第1のトラック溝部(7a)のボール軌道中心線(Xa)と継手中心(O)を含む平面(M)から外れた位置に形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の固定式等速自在継手。
- 前記第2のトラック溝部(7b)のボール軌道中心線(Xb)の傾斜角が、開口側に向けて徐々に減少することを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の固定式等速自在継手。
- 前記トルク伝達ボールの個数を8個としたことを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の固定式等速自在継手。
