Description
Claims (10)
- DFB−DML(Distributed Feedback−Directly Modulated Laser)のための電子分散補償(Electronic Dispersion Compensation:EDC)システムであって、
減少した線形チャープ−分散(chirp−dispersion)を有する信号を送信する前置補償送信機(pre−compensating transmitter)、および
前記信号を受信し、非線形チャープ−分散を減少させる後補償受信機(post−compensating receiver)を備え、
前記後補償受信機は、チャープパルス(chirped pulse)のラビットイヤーを補償する線形イコライザ、非線形チャープ−分散のチルティングを補償する非線形イコライザ、高周波ブースティングイコライザ、およびリミットアンプを含み、
前記非線形イコライザは、乗算機、ローパスフィルタ(low pass filter)、1Z−2Pフィルタ(one−zero two−pole filter)、および加算器を含む、電子分散補償システム。 - 前記前置補償送信機は、
メイン−タップデータ(main−tap data)とプリ−タップデータ(pre−tap data)を生成するツータップデータ生成部(2 tap data generator)を備える、請求項1に記載の電子分散補償システム。 - 前記プリ−タップデータは、
前記メイン−タップデータよりも予め設定されたサイクル(cycle)以前に生成されたデータである、請求項2に記載の電子分散補償システム。 - 前記前置補償送信機は、
前記プリ−タップデータおよびメイン−タップデータを受信し、検出信号(detector signal)を生成する立ち上がりパターン検出部(rising pattern detector)をさらに備える、請求項2に記載の電子分散補償システム。 - 前記検出信号は、
前記メイン−タップデータがロー(low)であり、前記プリ−タップデータがハイ(high)であるときにハイ(high)である、請求項4に記載の電子分散補償システム。 - 前記前置補償送信機は、
前記メイン−タップデータから前記検出信号を減算し、プリ−エンファシス(pre−emphasis)の量に応じて前記検出信号の振幅を調整するプリ−ドライバ(pre−drivers)をさらに備える、請求項4に記載の電子分散補償システム。 - 前記前置補償送信機は、
立ち上がりエッジ(rising edge)以前にプリ−エンファシスされる(pre−emphasized)出力データを生成する出力ドライバ(output driver)をさらに備える、請求項6に記載の電子分散補償システム。 - 前記立ち上がりパターン検出部は、
前記出力データをプリ−エンファシス(pre−emphasize)する組合せ論理(combinational logic)を備える、請求項7に記載の電子分散補償システム。 - 前記前置補償送信機は、
前記メイン−タップデータおよびプリ−タップデータのうち少なくとも1つのパルス持続時間(pulse duration)を広げるパルス拡張クロック生成部(pulse widening CLK generator)をさらに備える、請求項6に記載の電子分散補償システム。 - 低費用DFB−DML(Distributed Feedback−Directly Modulated Laser)のための電子分散補償(Electronic Dispersion Compensation:EDC)システムの後補償受信機であって、
チャープパルス(chirped pulse)のラビットイヤーを補償する線形イコライザ(linear equalizer)、および
非線形チャープ−分散のチルティング(tilting)を補償する非線形イコライザ(nonlinear equalizer)、高周波ブースティングイコライザ、およびリミットアンプを含み、
前記線形イコライザはゼロ−ポールフィルタ(zero−pole filter)を含み、
前記非線形イコライザは、乗算機、ローパスフィルタ(low pass filter)、1Z−2Pフィルタ(one−zero two−pole filter)、および加算器を含む、後補償受信機。
