Description

一般に回路内の固有インダクタンスおよびスイッチを開路してすぐの典型的な電流の変化率は、明瞭で再現可能な測定のために十分な大きさの電圧スパイクを生じるのに適していることが見出されている。しかし必要であれば、回路内に追加のインダクタLを含めるか、またはより大きな電流Iを供給するか、またはその両方によって、必要なときにより大きな電圧スパイクを生成することができる。

Claims (13)
- 電源および負荷が設けられるように構成された回路内の電圧保護デバイスをテストする方法であって、
前記保護デバイスと並列に検出器を設けるステップと、
前記回路内に設けられたスイッチングデバイスを開路するステップと、
前記スイッチングデバイスを開路することによって生じる回路インダクタンス内の電流の変化率によって引き起こされる電圧スパイクの特性を検出して、前記保護デバイスの状態を決定するステップと、
を含み、
前記スイッチングデバイスを開路する前に、前記回路の出力に跨がって短絡回路が適用される、
方法。 - 前記保護デバイスの状態が、前記電圧スパイクの前記検出された特性が期待される所定の範囲内であるかどうかを判定することによって決定される、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記保護デバイスの状態が、前記電圧スパイクの前記検出された特性と、期待される所定の値との間の差を求めることによって決定される、請求項1または請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記保護デバイスの状態が、前記電圧スパイクの前記検出された特性が期待される所定の値または期待される所定の範囲より高いまたは低いかどうかに基づいて決定される、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記電圧スパイクのピークが検出される、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記スイッチングデバイスを開路したときに、前記電圧保護デバイスをテストするのに十分に大きな電圧スパイクを発生するために、前記回路内に追加のインダクタを設けるステップを含む、請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 電源および負荷を有する回路内の保護デバイスをテストするための保護デバイステスタであって、
前記回路内に設けられたスイッチングデバイスを開路することによって生じる電圧スパイクの特性を検出するために、前記保護デバイスと並列に設けられた検出器と、
前記スイッチングデバイスを開路することによって生じる前記電圧スパイクの前記検出された特性に基づいて、前記保護デバイスの状態を決定するためのコントローラと、
前記スイッチングデバイスを開路する前に、前記回路の出力に跨がって適用されるように構成された短絡回路と、
を備える、保護デバイステスタ。 - 前記コントローラは、前記スイッチングデバイスを開路することによって生じる前記電圧スパイクの前記検出された特性が、所定の範囲内であるかどうかに基づいて前記保護デバイスの状態を決定する、請求項7記載の保護デバイステスタ。
- 前記コントローラは、前記スイッチを開路することによって生じる前記電圧スパイクの前記検出された特性が、所定の値より高いまたは低いかどうかに基づいて前記保護デバイスの状態を決定するように構成される、請求項7または請求項8記載の保護デバイステスタ。
- 前記コントローラは、前記スイッチを開路することによって生じる前記電圧スパイクの前記検出された特性が、所定の値または範囲よりどれだけ高いかまたは低いかに基づいて前記保護デバイスの状態を決定するように構成される、請求項7乃至9のいずれか1項記載の保護デバイステスタ。
- 前記検出器が、前記電圧スパイクのピーク電圧を検出するように構成される、請求項7乃至10のいずれか1項記載の保護デバイステスタ。
- 前記スイッチングデバイスが複数のスイッチを備える、請求項7乃至11のいずれか1項記載の保護デバイステスタ。
- 前記スイッチングデバイスが、並列に接続され、個々に開路または閉路されるように構成された半導体デバイスである、請求項12記載の保護デバイステスタ。
