Description

The present invention relates to a vehicle body reinforcing structure for a vehicle in which an upper extension portion of a rocker member is welded to a lower end portion of a pillar member.

Conventionally, for example, Patent Document 1 discloses a structure for reinforcing a joint portion between a rocker member extending in the vehicle front-rear direction and a pillar member extending in the vehicle vertical direction. In this conventional structure, an extension portion is provided at the front end portion of the rocker member that extends above the vehicle and seals the upper end, and the extension portion is positioned at the lower end portion of the pillar member and is overlapped and welded to each other. .

Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 1-95482

In the conventional structure, since the portion where the upper end of the extended portion is sealed functions as a horizontal bulk member, the rigidity against the load in the vehicle longitudinal direction can be improved. However, for the load in the vehicle width direction, the so-called match box deformation in which the inner panel and the outer panel of the pillar member are close to or away from each other in the part where the bulk member is not present is prevented, and the pillar member is prevented from falling inward in the vehicle width direction. Can not.

As measures for preventing the inward collapse, when the thickness of the rocker member, pillar member, etc. is increased or the number of bulk members in the horizontal direction is increased, the weight and cost are increased and the productivity is lowered. Occur.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-described conventional situation, and does not increase the thickness of rocker members, pillar members, etc., or increases the number of bulk members in the horizontal direction, and the rigidity against inclining of the pillar members. It is an object of the present invention to provide a vehicle body reinforcement structure for a vehicle that can improve the vehicle.

According to the first aspect of the present invention, an extension portion extending upward of the vehicle is provided at one or both of the front end portion and the rear end portion of the rocker member extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction, and the extension portion is provided at the lower end portion of the pillar member extending in the vehicle vertical direction. In the vehicle body reinforcement structure of the vehicle joined through the welded part ,
The extension part and the pillar member are formed by joining an outer panel positioned on the outer side in the vehicle width direction and an inner panel positioned on the inner side so as to form a hollow shape,
Wherein the welds between the extension portion and the pillar member, and insert placing bulk member so as to bridge an outer panel and an inner panel of the extension portion and the pillar member,
The bulk member is characterized in that it is extended to at least the weld from inside the extension portion.

According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the vehicle body reinforcing structure for a vehicle according to the first aspect,
A concave or convex bead portion extending in the vehicle front-rear direction is formed on one or both of the inner panel or the outer panel of one or both of the extension portion and the pillar member,
The bead portion is joined to the bulk member via a welded portion .

According to the vehicle body reinforcing structure of the first aspect of the present invention, the bulk member is extended from the inside of the rocker member having high rigidity to the welded portion between the rocker member and the pillar member. Of course, the load in the vehicle longitudinal direction can be received by the rocker member as well as the load, and the load acting on the pillar member can be reduced accordingly, and as a result, the deformation of the pillar member can be effectively suppressed. it can.

Further, since the bulk member is provided so as to bridge the outer panel and the inner panel of the rocker member and the pillar member, it is possible to suppress a match box deformation in which the inner panel and the outer panel are close to or separated from each other by a load in the vehicle width direction. As a result, the falling of the pillar member can be effectively suppressed.

Furthermore, since the bulk member reinforces the joint portion between the rocker member and the pillar member, deformation starting from the joint portion can be effectively suppressed.

Since the above-described effects can be realized without increasing the thickness of the rocker member or pillar member and without increasing the number of bulk members in the horizontal direction, this is advantageous in reducing weight and cost and improving productivity.

In the invention of claim 2, since the concave or convex bead portion extending in the vehicle front-rear direction is formed on the inner panel or the outer panel, the load in the vehicle front-rear direction can be more reliably received by the bead portion. In addition, since the bead portion is welded to the bulk member, the bulk member can be more firmly fixed by the inner panel or the outer panel, and as a result, there is a great effect in preventing deformation of the pillar member.

In this way, by simply devising the formation direction of the bead portion that welds and fixes the bulk member to prevent inward collapse due to the load in the vehicle width direction, deformation due to the load in the vehicle longitudinal direction can be reliably suppressed, It is further beneficial in reducing costs and improving productivity.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a vehicle body that employs a vehicle body reinforcing structure according to a first embodiment of the present invention, as viewed obliquely from the front left of the vehicle. It is the perspective view seen from the vehicle left diagonal rear of the junction part of the rocker panel and front pillar which comprises the said reinforcement structure. FIG. 3 is a sectional rear view of the reinforcing structure (a sectional view taken along line III-III in FIG. 2). It is the perspective view which looked at the said junction part from the vehicle interior right diagonally forward side. FIG. 5 is a sectional plan view of the reinforcing structure (a sectional view taken along line V-V in FIG. 3). FIG. 4 is a sectional plan view of the reinforcing structure (a sectional view taken along line VI-VI in FIG. 3).

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes an open-type automobile body having no roof panel. The vehicle body 1 includes left and right rocker panels (rocker members) 2 and 2 extending in the vehicle front-rear direction at the left and right sides in the vehicle width direction, and a left extending upward and joined to the front end portion of the rocker panel 2. It has right front pillars (pillar members) 3 and 3 and left and right center pillars 4 and 4 which are joined to the rear part of the rocker panel 2 and extend upward. Further, left and right rear fenders 5 and 5 are disposed behind the left and right center pillars 4, and a back panel 6 is disposed between the rear fenders 5 and 5. Reference numerals 7a and 7b denote a front floor and a rear floor.

The rocker panel 2 forms a closed section with a rocker outer panel 2a having a cross-sectional hat shape disposed on the outer side in the vehicle width direction and a rocker inner panel 2b having a cross-sectional hat shape disposed on the inner side in the vehicle width direction. The flange portions 2c and 2d are joined by spot welding.

The front pillar 3 forms a closed section with a pillar outer panel 3a having a cross-sectional hat shape arranged on the outer side in the vehicle width direction and a pillar inner panel 3b having a hat shape on the cross-sectional surface arranged on the inner side in the vehicle width direction. The flange portions 3c and 3d are joined by spot welding.

An extension 10 is integrally formed at the front end of the rocker panel 2 so as to extend upward. The extension portion 10 is a box-like body having a substantially L-shaped front wall portion 10a and a substantially arc-shaped rear wall portion 10b as viewed from the side of the vehicle. The extension portion 10 abuts an extended outer panel 11 having a hat-shaped cross section located on the outer side in the vehicle width direction and an extended inner panel 12 having a hat-shaped cross section located on the inner side in the vehicle width direction so as to form a box. The flange portions 11a and 12a are joined by spot welding.

Here, the extended outer panel 11 is formed longer than the extended inner panel 12, and the upper end portion 11 b of the extended outer panel 11 is positioned higher than the upper end portion 12 b of the extended inner panel 12.

On the other hand, the pillar inner panel 3b of the front pillar 3 is longer than the pillar outer panel 3a, and the lower end portion 3e of the pillar inner panel 3b is positioned lower than the lower end portion 3f of the pillar outer panel 3a.

And the lower end part 3e of the said pillar inner panel 3b is overlapped with the upper end part 12b of the said extension inner panel 12, and both are couple | bonded by spot welding.

Similarly, the lower end 3f of the pillar outer panel 3a is overlapped with the upper end 11b of the extended outer panel 11, and both are joined by spot welding.

In the connecting portion between the extension 10 and the front pillar 3 formed on the rocker panel 2, the bulk member 13 is connected to the outer panel 11, 3a and the inner panels 12, 3b of the extension 10 and the front pillar 3, respectively. And are arranged so as to bridge in the vehicle width direction. The bulk member 13 is made of a steel plate, has a substantially U-shaped cross section having joint flange portions 13 a and 13 b, and extends from the bottom of the extension portion 10 to the upper end portion 11 b of the extension outer panel 11 and the pillar outer panel 3 a of the front pillar 3. It extends so as to straddle the welded portion with the lower end 3f.

The joint flange portion 13a on the outer side in the vehicle width direction of the bulk member 13 is spot-welded to the extended outer panel 11 as shown by x in FIG. 3, and its upper end portion 13a 'is extended to the extended outer panel 11 and the pillar outer panel 3a. Spot welded in three layers.

On the other hand, the lower end portion 13b ″ of the joint flange portion 13b on the inner side in the vehicle width direction of the bulk member 13 is spot welded in the vicinity of the upper end portion 12b of the extended inner panel 12 (see the crosses in FIG. 3). The upper portion 13b 'of the joint flange portion 13b is fixed to a bead portion 3g formed near the lower end portion of the pillar inner panel 3b by gas welding or the like through a through hole 3h formed in the bead portion 3g. ing.

Two sets of the bead portions 3g are formed at the lower portion of the pillar inner panel 3b so as to extend in the vehicle front-rear direction and project toward the bulk member 13 side, and the bead portions 3g are formed in the bulk member 13. Is in contact with the joint flange portion 13b.

According to the vehicle body reinforcing structure according to this embodiment, the bulk member 13 is welded from the bottom of the substantially L-shaped extension 10 integrally formed with the rigid rocker panel 2 to the extension 10 and the pillar outer panel 3a. As a result, the rocker panel 2 can catch not only the vehicle width direction load acting on the front pillar 3 but also the vehicle longitudinal direction load. Accordingly, the load acting on the front pillar 3 can be reduced correspondingly, and as a result, deformation of the front pillar 3 in the vehicle width direction and the front-rear direction can be effectively suppressed.

Further, since the bulk member 13 is provided so as to bridge the extension panel 10 of the rocker panel 2 and the outer panels 11 and 3a of the front pillar 3 and the inner panels 12 and 3b in the vehicle width direction, the load in the vehicle width direction is provided. Therefore, the inner panel 12, 3b and the outer panel 11, 3a can be prevented from approaching or separating from each other, and the inward tilting of the front pillar 3 can be effectively suppressed.

Furthermore, since the bulk member 13 reinforces the connecting portion between the extension portion 10 of the rocker panel 2 and the front pillar 3, deformation starting from the connecting portion can be effectively suppressed.

Since the above-described effects can be realized without increasing the thickness of the rocker panel 2 and the front pillar 3 and without increasing the number of bulk members in the horizontal direction, it is advantageous in reducing weight and cost and improving productivity.

Furthermore, since the bead portion 3g extending in the vehicle front-rear direction and projecting toward the bulk member 13 is formed on the pillar inner panel 3b, the load in the vehicle front-rear direction can be more reliably received by the bead portion 3g. In addition, since the bead portion 3g is welded to the bulk member 13, the bulk member 13 can be more firmly fixed by the pillar inner panel 3b. As a result, there is a great effect in preventing deformation of the front pillar 3.

In this way, the formation direction of the bead portion 3g for welding and fixing the bulk member 13 for preventing the inward collapse due to the load in the vehicle width direction to the pillar inner panel 3b is simply the vehicle front-rear direction, Deformation due to load can be reliably suppressed, which is further beneficial in reducing weight and cost and improving productivity.

Since the above-mentioned reinforcing structure is not provided with a roof panel, it is particularly useful for an open car that is vulnerable to inward deformation of the pillar member.

In the above embodiment, the bead portion 3g is provided on the pillar inner panel 3b. However, this bead portion may be provided on the outer panel side, or may be provided on both the inner panel and the outer panel.

Moreover, in the said Example, although the bead part was formed in the concave shape which protrudes in the bulk member side, it is also possible to form the bead part in the convex shape which protrudes in the other side of a bulk member. In this case, a protrusion projecting toward the bead portion is formed on the bulk member, and the protrusion and the bead portion are welded.

Furthermore, in the above-described embodiment, the reinforcing structure of the connection portion between the rocker panel and the front pillar has been described, but the present invention can also be applied to the reinforcement of the connection portion between the rocker panel and the center pillar.
