電力送受信部200が変調し、電力信号710にシグネチャを差し挟む、すなわち埋め込む方法にはいくつかある。第1の方法は、OFDM(orthogonal frequency division multiplexing)での差し挟みを使用する。OFDMは、ディジタルデータのいくつかのストリーム(730)を並列に運ぶためにいくつかの重ならない狭帯域のチャネル(周波数分割)を使用する。図2Cは、これらの重ならない狭帯域のチャネル730の存在を示す。各サブチャネルのデータは、通常、変調されて、個々にまたは合同に誤り制御符号によって保護されうる。この方式では、複数のサブキャリアの集合的なデータレートが維持される一方で、各サブチャネルの比較的低レートの変調によってチャネル状態が補償される。OFDMは、各々が別個の変調方式を使用した異なる周波数帯にある複数の独立のサブチャネルを利用し、困難なチャネル環境において効率的にデータを送信する。本発明の実施の形態では、可変の周波数スペーシング、複数の変調技術、および1つ以上のサブチャネルを包含する複数の誤り制御および訂正技術を含む複数の技術の組み合わせを使用してもよい。
本発明の実施の形態において、帯域内シグネチャを符号化および変調するのに符号分割多元アクセス(CDMA)を使用してもよい。「直接シーケンス拡散スペクトル」(DSSS)としても知られているCDMAは、擬似雑音符号(PN符号)または「チップシーケンス」と呼ばれる擬似ランダムな二進数シーケンスを用いて、ペイロードのデータシーケンスを離散的に変調する。この離散的な変調において、データシーケンスにはチップシーケンスが乗算される。PN符号は、データシーケンスのビット期間よりもかなり短いビット期間を有し、そのため、結果として生ずる信号のスペクトルは、大きな周波数レンジにわたって「拡散」される。CDMAプロセスの「符号化ゲイン」は、データビットあたりの「チップビット」すなわちPN符号の比率である。結果として生ずる「拡散スペクトル」信号の帯域幅は、符号化ゲインで乗算された元のペイロード信号の実効的な帯域幅から計算される。
このシステムは、ケーブル配備、位置決めの特異性、または電力信号を運ぶ電力ラインのユニークな、損傷されたもしくは問題がある箇所を最適化または分類する診断目的のために、チャネルの長さを計測するように構成されていてもよい。チャネルの長さを特定するため、下記の処理を使用することができる。ステップのいくつかは任意であり、多くのステップはここで説明する順序と異なる順序で実行することができる。下記の指令は、消費者送受信部400および/または電力送受信部200のメモリに記憶させておいてもよい。下記の指令は、各送受信部のマイクロプロセッサが実行可能なコンピュータ実行可能コードの形式をとっていてもよい。図4を参照し、第1のステップ(T1)では、ソフトウェアが消費者送受信部400のプロセッサ480に指示して、プロセッサ480が消費者送受信部400の出力部450に、受信したあらゆる送信内容または信号を送り返すように指示させることができる。ステップ2(T2)において、プロセッサは、電力送受信部200にキャリア波、「送信信号」に埋め込まれた符号を消費者送受信部400に送信するように指示することができる。ステップ3A(T3A)において、プロセッサは、送信された信号をメモリに保存するように電力送受信部200に指示することができる。ステップ3B(T3B)において、プロセッサは、受信部210'を使用して返信信号を聴取することを開始するように、また、そこに戻ろうとする送信内容を記録することを開始するように、電力送受信部200に指示することができる。ステップ4(T4)において、入力部410は、電力送受信部200の出力部230から送信された信号を受信し、電力送受信部200の受信部210'にその信号を送り返すことができる(T4B)。ステップ5(T5)において、プロセッサ240は、送り返された信号を電力送受信部200のメモリ250に保存することを電力送受信部300にさせることができる。ステップT3AおよびT5からのコードは、プロセッサ240に転送することができ、プロセッサ240は、送信された信号および送り返された信号を解析して、両方の信号の間の相対的なタイムシフト(時間的ずれ)を特定することができる。送信された波形またはそのディジタル版はいかなる誤りも含まないであろうが、送信経路での干渉のために、送り返された信号は誤りを含むことがありうる。この結果、送り返された信号は、送信された信号とは異なりうる。もしこれらの信号が同じである場合は、これらの2つの信号の間のタイムシフトを特定するのは容易であり、電力送受信部200のプロセッサ240は、送り返された波形が送信された波形にぴったり合うまで送り返された波形を時間軸に沿ってシフトすることを要するであろう。2つの波形をぴったり重ねるのに要するシフトの距離は、送信遅延に等しく、チャネルの長さに結びつけることができる(キャリア波に埋め込まれたコードだけを解析する場合にも類似の処理が使用されうる)。しかし、たいていのシステムには干渉があるので、実世界でのタイムシフトの特定の処理はもっと複雑である。干渉に対処するため、プロセッサ240は、様々な時点で、送信された波形と送り返された波形の相違を特定するであろう。そして、プロセッサ240は、送信された信号と送り返された信号の間のタイムシフトの量として、最小の相違を持つ時点を選択するであろう。例えば、図6Aは送信された信号810を示し、図6Bは送り返された信号820を示す。期間830,840での干渉がどのように送り返された信号820に期間850,860を歪ませたかに注意してほしい(実際のシステムでは、この干渉は波長全体に影響を与えるかもしれない)。電力送受信部200は、メモリ内に格納された送信された波形の符号を既に有しているかもしれない(そうでない場合、電力送受信部は、復調部290を使って符号を識別することができる)。一例として符号が101100111000であるとしよう。復調部290は、送り返された信号を復調することができ、この例で、復調された信号が1001101110110000であるとしよう。信号の干渉の結果、送り返された信号のビットが送信された信号のビットといかに相違するかに注意してほしい(送り返された信号において、左から第1〜4番目のビット、第9番目のビット、第13番目のビットが干渉で付加または変化している)。電力送受信部200のプロセッサ240は、図7Aに示すように、送信された符号を整列させる。境界を有する箱910は、処理される受信された符号の部分を示す。最も左にある丸みを帯びた矩形と最も右にある丸みを帯びた矩形との間にある矩形920で示されたビットは、受信された信号820を示す。最も左にある丸みを帯びた矩形915は、実際の信号820の前に検出されたランダム雑音を示し、最も右にある丸みを帯びた矩形925は、実際の信号の後に検出されたランダム雑音を示す。雑音915,925を含む信号全体が受信されるので、プロセッサ240は、信号を雑音から分離するために信号全体を処理する必要がある。
電気乗物装置またはハイブリッド乗物装置(例えば自動車、オートバイ、ボート、RV、および飛行機)に関する認識されている1つの困難性は、乗物装置の電池に再充電する充電ステーションを設立する困難性に関する。従来技術の解決策は、電力を差込口から乗物装置に充電するフローに事前認証を要してきた。このような解決策では、ユーザは充電ステーションまで運転してきて、クレジットカードを挿入し、充電ステーションは支払の正当性を認証し、一定の時間だけ差込口をオンにして乗物装置がある一定のエネルギ量を引き込めるようにした。この技術は、高額な装置、予定されるクレジットカードマシン、および既存の電気インフラストラクチャの修正を必要とする。このコストは、公共の駐車場、ホテル、または自動車を駐車する他の場所にとって、大きな妨害であろう。それは、「隣人の」家屋でも働かないであろう。例えば、隣人はエネルギを満たすのに必要なインフラストラクチャを持ちたがらないであろうからである。必要なのは、乗物装置がまさに充電される時に消費されたエネルギについて乗物装置に充電する人間が自動的に課金される一種の自動的な請求システムである。二番目のユーザが乗物装置を差込口まで操作して、同様に簡単な課金システムから利益を受けられるように、特別な工夫が必要ないのが理想的であろう。本発明の特徴はこのような解決策を提供する。
Claims (4)
- コントローラと、電荷を持ち電力を供給可能な電源装置とを有し、前記コントローラがコンピュータ読み取り可能なメモリに記憶された指令を備える消費者の装置であって、前記消費者の装置は、さらに、前記消費者の装置のシグネチャをいくつかのサブシーケンスに逆多重化する逆多重化部と、電力信号のいくつかのサブチャネル内に前記シグネチャを付加する変調部と、を備え、前記指令が前記消費者の装置に、
(a) エネルギのワットあたりコストの最大値と、エネルギのワットあたりコストの最小値を設定する工程と、
(b) 電力供給源の電力のコストが、ワットあたりコストの最大値より小さい場合に、前記電力供給源から電力を引き込む工程と、
(c) 前記電力供給源が、ワットあたりコストの最小値より大きい値を申し出ている場合に、前記電力供給源に電力を送信する工程とを実行させ、
さらに、前記電力供給源から電力を引き込む際に、前記シグネチャが付加された前記電力信号を前記電力供給源に返信する工程と、
前記電力供給源に電力を送信する際に、前記シグネチャが付加された前記電力信号を前記電力供給源に送信する工程とを
実行させる、消費者の装置。 - 前記消費者の装置が電気またはハイブリッド自動車である、請求項1に記載の消費者の装置。
- 前記電力を引き込む工程は、前記電源装置の電荷が所定の割合より小さい場合に実行される、請求項1に記載の消費者の装置。
- 前記電力を送信する工程は、前記電源装置の電荷が所定の割合より大きい場合に実行される、請求項1に記載の消費者の装置。
