Description
**サンプルは、Peltier加熱プレートを備えたRFS3制御された歪レオメータ(TA instruments)にて、25mm平行プレートを用いて測定された。使用された方法は、5℃の温度増加分にて、各温度の間は120秒の浸漬(平衡)時間で、1Hzの一定周波数にて高温から低温に温度を一掃させた。

固体インクの調製
非晶質および結晶性材料を合成した。対象とする化学構造および特性を表1(結晶性構成成分)および表2(非晶質構成成分)に示す。
ii 同時係属中の米国特許出願整理番号13/095,770(代理人明細書番号20101142−390608)に記載されているように合成された。
iii 同時係属中の米国特許出願整理番号13/095,555(代理人明細書番号20101094−390676)に記載されているように合成された。
iv 同時係属中の米国特許出願整理番号13/095,784(代理人明細書番号20101140−390605)に記載されているように合成された。
v 同時係属中の米国特許出願整理番号13/095,795(代理人明細書番号20100868−388982)に記載されているように合成された。
vii 粘度が少なくとも約100倍増大する(すなわち相転移)前の最後の温度測定。
viii 相転移が生じる前の最小G’値(上記留意viiを参照)、G’minは、T相転移から140℃の間で生じる。
ix 相転移が生じた後の最大G’値(上記留意viiを参照)、G’maxはT相転移から室温までの間で生じる。
x 相転移について温度の関数としてのΔlog複素粘度の傾きの絶対値(上記留意viiを参照)。
Claims (10)
- 140℃で10cps未満の粘度、室温で1×106cpsを超える粘度を有する、少なくとも結晶性構成成分と、
140℃で100cps未満の粘度、室温で1×106cpsを超える粘度を有し、前記結晶性構成成分とは異なる、少なくとも非晶質構成成分と、を含む相転移インクであって、
前記結晶性構成成分が、下記の化合物1〜3からなる群から選択され、
前記非晶質構成成分が、下記の化合物4〜7からなる群から選択され、
前記相転移インクが、140℃で12cps未満の粘度、および室温で少なくとも1×106cpsの粘度を有する、相転移インク。 - 65〜130℃の相転移温度を有する、請求項1に記載の相転移インク。
- 前記相転移インクの粘度が、65℃未満の温度にて少なくとも105cpsに増大する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の相転移インク。
- 前記相転移インクが液体である場合に、10−2〜10−8Paの弾性率G’minを有する、請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の相転移インク。
- 前記相転移インクが固体である場合に、102〜106Paの弾性率G’maxを有する、請求項1〜請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の相転移インク。
- 相転移の傾きの絶対値(Δlog複素粘度/ΔT)が0.2℃−1以上である、請求項1〜請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の相転移インク。
- 前記結晶性構成成分が、前記相転移インクの総重量の60重量%以上で含まれ、前記非晶質構成成分が、前記相転移インクの総重量の5重量%以上で含まれる、請求項1〜請求項6のいずれか1項に記載の相転移インク。
- 前記結晶性および非晶質構成成分が、60:40〜95:5の重量比でブレンドされた、請求項1〜請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の相転移インク。
- 顔料、染料またはこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される着色剤をさらに含む、請求項1〜請求項8のいずれか1項に記載の相転移インク。
- インクジェット印刷装置に請求項1〜請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の相転移インクを組み込む工程と、
前記インクジェット印刷装置の内部にて前記相転移インクを溶融する工程と、
前記溶融したインクの液滴を基材に放出して画像を形成する工程と、
を含む、印刷方法。
