Description
Claims (20)
- 流動するプロセス流体中に挿入されたセンサを保護するためのセンサチューブであって、
プロセスの容器に実装するためのプロセスインタフェース部と、
該プロセスインタフェース部からシールされた端部へと延び、縦方向の軸の回りに捩られている捩れ部を含む伸長部とを含み、
前記プロセスインタフェース部と前記伸長部とは、その中にセンサを収容するように構成されたセンサ穴を画定されており、
前記捩れ部は、少なくとも三つの等しいサイズの壁を含む断面を有し、該壁は、前記捩れ部の縦方向の軸に沿って螺旋を形成する、センサチューブ。 - 前記センサチューブがサーモウェルである、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記断面が正方形である、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記センサチューブが金属で形成されている、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記センサチューブがセラミックで形成されている、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記センサチューブがプラスチックで形成されている、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- さらに、前記センサ穴の中に、プロセス変数と共に変化する電気特性を有するセンサを含む、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記センサが温度センサであり、さらに該センサに結合されている温度送信機を含む、請求項7に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記捩れ部は、前記等しいサイズの壁の一つの幅の8−16倍(8-16 widths)につき約1ターンであるピッチをもつ、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記壁は、円形のコーナになっている、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記センサチューブは、テーパが付けられたセンサチューブである、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記センサチューブは、ステップが付けられたセンサチューブである、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記伸長部は、前記捩れ部を含む、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 前記断面は、四つの等しいサイズの壁を含む、請求項1に記載のセンサチューブ。
- 縦方向の軸を有し、ある挿入長まで、プロセス流体容器中に挿入できるサーモウェルであって、
該プロセス流体容器の壁を通り抜け、該プロセス流体容器にシールするためのプロセスインタフェース部と、
該プロセスインタフェース部に接続され、前記縦方向の軸の回りに捩られている多角形の断面を有する捩れ部とを有し、
前記多角形の断面は、少なくとも三つの隣り合う壁を含む、サーモウェル。 - 前記多角形のコーナは、曲率半径を持つ、請求項15に記載のサーモウェル。
- 前記捩れ部は、前記挿入長の約40%と100%との間の長さである、請求項15に記載のサーモウェル。
- 前記捩れ部は、前記サーモウェルの遠端から延びている、請求項17に記載のサーモウェル。
- センサチューブの製造方法であって、
プロセス容器に実装するためのプロセスインタフェース部を提供することと、
前記プロセスインタフェース部からシールされた端部まで延び、少なくとも三つの隣り合う壁を含む多角形の断面を有する伸長部を、前記プロセスインタフェース部に結合することと、
前記プロセスインタフェース部に関して、該伸長部の前記端部を捩ることにより、前記伸長部中に捩れ部を形成することとを含む、センサチューブの製造方法。 - 前記捩れ部を形成することが、前記プロセスインタフェース部に対して前記捩れ部を物理的に捩ることを含む、請求項19に記載のセンサチューブの製造方法。
