Description
分散系のER流体は、前記の通り外部電場を印加するとその粘度が著しく増大し、外部電場の除去によって元の粘度に可逆的に戻る流体である。このような効果は、電極間に生ずる電場の作用によって系内に分散している固体粒子が分極し、さらにこの分極に基づく静電気的な引力によって互いに電場方向に配列して鎖状の凝集構造を形成し、流体の粘性等のレオロジー的性質が変化する結果とされている。

Claims (3)
- 粒子径10〜100nmのスメクタイト系粘土鉱物を体積分率1.0×10−5〜1.0×10−2の範囲で脱塩処理された純水中に分散させた流体に、
電界強度0.3〜10V/mmで、周波数0.0001〜0.005Hzの電圧を印加することでレオロジー特性を制御する方法。 - 粒子径10〜100nmのスメクタイト系粘土鉱物を体積分率1.0×10 −5 〜1.0×10 −2 の範囲で脱塩処理された純水中に分散させた流体であって、請求項1に記載の方法に使用するエレクトロレオロジー流体。
- 前記スメクタイト系粘土鉱物がヘクトライトである請求項2に記載のエレクトロレオロジー流体。
