Claims (19)
- 電力モジュール組立体であって、
冷却材に浸された炉心と、
前記冷却材及び前記炉心を収容する炉容器と、
少なくとも部分的にヒートシンクに取り囲まれて前記炉容器を収容する格納容器とを含み、
前記炉容器は、前記電力モジュール組立体の緊急運転の間、前記格納容器内に前記冷却材を制御可能に放出するべく構成され、
前記格納容器内の実質的にすべての前記冷却材は、前記電力モジュール組立体の正常動作中、前記炉容器内に収容され、
前記炉心の崩壊熱は前記格納容器の内表面上の前記冷却材の凝縮によって除去され、
前記炉容器と前記格納容器との間に格納領域が配置され、
前記格納領域の少なくとも一部が、前記電力モジュール組立体の前記正常動作中、大気圧未満の圧力に維持され、
前記大気圧未満の圧力によって、前記炉容器と前記格納容器との間の対流熱伝達が実質的に防止される電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記格納領域の内表面全体が、前記緊急運転の前は乾燥している、請求項1に記載の電力モジュール組立体。
- 前記格納容器の外壁に取り付けられ、かつ、前記ヒートシンクと接触する冷却フィンをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の電力モジュール組立体。
- 前記ヒートシンクは水又は気体を含む、請求項1に記載の電力モジュール組立体。
- 前記格納領域は、
大気圧に維持される第1格納領域と、
前記大気圧未満の圧力に維持される第2格納領域と
を含み、
前記第1格納領域及び前記第2格納領域は双方とも、前記緊急運転の前は内部が乾燥している、請求項1に記載の電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記冷却材は、前記緊急運転の間に前記第1格納領域内に蒸気として放出され、
前記蒸気は、前記格納容器において液体冷却材として凝縮する、請求項5に記載の電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記第1格納領域を前記第2格納領域に接続する一以上の弁をさらに含み、
前記一以上の弁は、前記液体冷却材を前記第1格納領域から前記第2格納領域に移送するべく動作するように構成される、請求項6に記載の電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記炉容器は、前記第1格納領域と前記第2格納領域とで異なる2つの型の断熱材によって断熱され、
前記炉容器は、前記第2格納領域において反射型断熱材によって断熱される、請求項6に記載の電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記炉容器と前記格納容器との間に配置された反射型断熱材をさらに含み、
前記炉容器の実質的にすべての断熱が、前記大気圧未満の圧力及び前記反射型断熱材の組み合わせによって与えられる、請求項1に記載の電力モジュール組立体。 - 電力モジュール組立体であって、
一次冷却材を炉心を通して循環させる手段であって、前記炉心及び前記一次冷却材は炉容器内に収容される手段と、
前記炉容器内の高圧事象に応答して前記一次冷却材を、少なくとも部分的にヒートシンクに取り囲まれて前記炉容器を収容する格納容器内に蒸気として制御可能に放出する手段であって、前記格納容器内の実質的にすべての前記一次冷却材は、前記電力モジュール組立体の正常動作中、前記炉容器内に収容され、前記格納容器の少なくとも一部が、前記一次冷却材を前記格納容器内に蒸気として放出する前に大気圧未満の圧力に維持され、前記蒸気は、前記格納容器の内表面で凝縮して一次冷却材の溜まりを形成し、前記大気圧未満の圧力は、前記炉容器と前記格納容器との間の対流熱伝達が実質的に防止されるように動作する手段と、
前記一次冷却材の溜まりを前記炉容器内にかつ前記炉心を通して循環させる手段と
を含む電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記格納容器の内表面全体が、前記高圧事象の前は乾燥し、
前記一次冷却材の溜まりは、前記高圧事象の前には存在しない、請求項10に記載の電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記凝縮した蒸気は、前記炉容器の外壁と前記格納容器の前記内表面との間に広がる前記一次冷却材の溜まりを形成し、
前記一次冷却材の溜まりはすべてが、前記凝縮した蒸気からなる、請求項10に記載の電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記蒸気の凝縮によって、前記放出された蒸気が前記格納容器内の圧力を増加させる量と同じ量だけ前記格納容器内の圧力が低減される、請求項10に記載の電力モジュール組立体。
- 前記格納容器は、前記高圧事象の後は大気圧超過圧力条件に維持される、請求項13に記載の電力モジュール組立体。
- 前記格納容器は前記炉容器を実質的に取り囲む、請求項10に記載の電力モジュール組立体。
- 前記炉容器の実質的にすべての断熱が、前記一次冷却材を前記格納容器内に蒸気として放出する前に前記大気圧未満の圧力によって与えられる、請求項10に記載の電力モジュール組立体。
- 前記炉容器の外表面はスチールハウジングを含み、
前記スチールハウジングは前記大気圧未満の圧力に直接さらされる、請求項10に記載の電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記格納容器は、
大気圧に維持される第1格納領域と、
前記大気圧未満の圧力に維持される第2格納領域と
を含み、
前記第1格納領域及び前記第2格納領域は双方とも、前記高圧事象の前は内部が乾燥している、請求項10に記載の電力モジュール組立体。 - 前記一次冷却材は、前記高圧事象の間に前記第1格納領域内に蒸気として放出され、
前記蒸気は、前記第1格納領域内で液体冷却材として凝縮し、
前記電力モジュール組立体は、前記第1格納領域から前記第2格納領域に前記液体冷却材を移送する手段をさらに含む、請求項18に記載の電力モジュール組立体。
