Description
The present invention relates to a shredder, and more particularly to a shredder that cuts and reduces volume of waste plastic such as plastic trays and plastic bottles.
Currently, foods and drinks such as fish, meat, tofu and soft drinks are sold in trays and containers made of plastic or polystyrene foam. These are goods purchased every day at superstores and retail stores, and used plastics (hereinafter sometimes referred to as “waste plastics”) are generated in a relatively large amount every day in the home.
Collection of waste plastics by a cleaning agency is usually once a week. Therefore, waste plastic for one week accumulates in the home, and the problem arises that it takes a lot of space especially in a small living environment such as for a single person. In addition, since the waste plastic is lightweight, if the wind blows on the collection day, it may be scattered enough to scatter on the road. In addition, waste plastics are piled up at collection sites of the Cleaning Bureau.
In households and small businesses, it is desirable to reduce the volume of waste plastic before it is dumped. The use of a shredder can be considered as a measure to reduce the volume. Currently, many products for shredding information recording media such as CDs and DVDs are commercially available as shredders for business or household for shredding plastic. Although these shredders can shred thin CDs etc. manually or electrically, they are not suitable for shredding bulky items such as trays and PET bottles.
Patent Documents 1 and 2 disclose empty can shredders as shredders for shredding thick waste materials. However, when trying to shred a lightweight one such as a tray or a plastic bottle with these shredders, it rises and is difficult to shred.
Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide a shredder for waste plastic that can be easily shredded to reduce the volume of light and bulky plastics discharged daily at home.
As a result of intensive studies on the above problems, the present inventor has found that the following problems can be solved. That is, the present invention is a shredder provided with a shredder body for shredding waste plastic, and is installed at the upper part of the inlet of the shredder body, and first pressing means for pressing the introduced waste plastic in the horizontal direction. And the shredder provided with the hopper which incorporates the 2nd press means which presses the thrown-in waste plastics toward the rotation cutter incorporated in the shredder main body downward.
The first and / or second pressing means can be operated by hydraulic pressure.
It is preferable that the blade of the rotary cutter has an enlarged diameter near both ends and the center of the rotary cutter or has a long claw.
The shredder of the present invention preferably further has a mechanism for cutting the cap of the plastic bottle.
The shredder of the present invention preferably further comprises waste plastic sorting means at the bottom of the shredder body.
Since the shredder of the present invention presses light and bulky plastics from two directions, the horizontal direction and the upward direction, the plastics are surely flattened and promoted to bite into the rotary cutter. The shredder of the present invention has a simple structure and can be manufactured at low cost.
The shredder of the present invention can reduce the volume by chopping up waste plastic such as plastic trays and plastic bottles that occupy a wide area in the home. Placing a shredder in one corner of the kitchen cleans the kitchen. The waste picking work becomes easier, for example, once a week the waste plastic waste is removed once a month. The storage area at the waste plastic accumulation site can also be reduced. Waste plastic is shredded using a large-scale industrial shredder at the collection site, and is recycled after sorting. If the shredder of the present invention is widely used in each household, the labor of shredding at the collection place can be greatly reduced.
According to the shredder in which the first and / or second pressing means are hydraulically operated, relatively hard waste plastic such as a plastic bottle can be easily shredded.
Furthermore, according to the shredder to which the sorting means is added, the waste plastic and the volume reduction other than that can be performed in a single unit, and the utilization and convenience of the shredder are further improved.
Hereinafter, an embodiment of the shredder of the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings. In the shredder 1 of the present invention shown in FIG. 1, a hopper 200 for introducing the waste plastic A is installed on the shredder body 100. The hopper includes a first pressing means 210 and a second pressing means 220 shown in FIG. 5B.
The first pressing means 210 is for pressing the waste plastic that has been input in the horizontal direction, and includes a fixed plate 211 and a first pressing plate 212. When the waste plastic is pressed between the two plates, the waste plastic is flattened, and the winding into the rotary cutter 110 is promoted.
The fixed plate 211 is fixed to the inner wall of the hopper front surface 201. On the other hand, the first pressing plate 212 has its lower end positioned in the vicinity of the pair of rotary cutters 110 and is disposed obliquely so that its upper end is positioned above the rotary cutter with a gap capable of accommodating waste plastic. . The pressing plate can tilt in a direction in which the waste plastic sandwiched between the pressing plate and the fixing plate is pressed toward the fixing plate.
In FIG. 1, the other end of the spring 213 with one end fixed to the upper end of the first pressing plate is connected to the inner wall of the hopper back surface 202 so that the upper end of the first pressing plate is opened before the waste plastic A is charged. Hang on top. This spring is biased in the direction of opening the gap between the first pressing plate and the fixed plate.
The waste plastic sandwiched between the fixing plate and the first pressing plate is pressed against the fixing plate by the force pressing the pressing plate in the direction of the fixing plate against the urging force of the spring. The driving force to press is not limited. In FIG. 1, the hooks are fixed to the both sides of the first pressing plate 212 through arc holes in which the hooks can be loosely fitted on both side surfaces 203 of the hopper. A power transmission wire 215 is connected to each hook with a pedal 214 installed outside the shredder (a wire connected to the hook on the opposite side is omitted for easier viewing). When the pedal is stepped on, the pedal pressing force is transmitted to the hook fixed to the first pressing plate via the wire, and the first pressing plate is tilted so as to be pulled toward the fixed plate.
The pressing means is suitable for flattening a relatively soft waste plastic such as a plastic tray. For flattening of hard waste plastic such as plastic bottles, a stronger pressing force is required. In that case, the driving force of the first pressing means may be changed to hydraulic pressure. FIG. 2 shows a conceptual diagram in which the pedal 214, the power transmission wire 215, the rod 216, the master cylinder 218, the hose 219, and the piston 217 are joined to the first pressing plate 212 in this order. When the pedal is depressed, the pedal effort is transmitted through the power transmission wire, extending the master cylinder, and further transmitted to the piston through the hose. A rod connected to the piston tilts the first pressing plate toward the fixed plate. Accordingly, the waste plastic A is pressed into a plate shape and enters the rotary cutter 110.
If the waste plastic is pressed only from the horizontal direction by the first pressing means, the lightweight waste plastic is likely to float and the press does not work well. In order to prevent this, the hopper is provided with a second pressing means for pressing the charged waste plastic downward toward the rotary cutter.
The second pressing means includes a second pressing plate 221 that can slide downward in the hopper. The pressing plate can be lowered so as to press the waste plastic sandwiched between the plate and the rotary cutter against the rotary cutter. The width of the second pressing plate (X in FIG. 1B) is substantially the same as the width of the hopper (X ′ in FIG. 1B). On the other hand, while the first pressing plate is tilted to the fixed plate side and the separation between the fixing plate and the first pressing plate is narrowed, the second pressing plate can be lowered through the separation. The vertical width of the plate (Y in FIG. 1B) is sufficiently shorter than the depth of the hopper (Y ′ in FIG. 1B). Thus, after the waste plastic is accommodated in the hopper, the first and second pressing plates press together to seal the waste plastic escape.
In FIG. 1, one end is fixed to the second pressing plate 221 and the other end of the spring 223 is connected to the outer wall of the hopper side surface 203 so that the second pressing plate waits upward before the waste plastic A is charged. The second pressing plate is urged upward by engaging with the upper portion.
The second pressing plate presses the waste plastic A under the second pressing plate against the rotary cutter by a force pressing against the biasing force of the spring. The driving force for pressing is not limited. In FIG. 1, in order to slide the pressing plate, two hooks are respectively fixed to the side surface of the second pressing plate 221 through the long holes 222 formed in both side surfaces 203 of the hopper. A power transmission wire 225 is wound between each hook and a pedal 224 installed outside the shredder (a wire connected to the hook on the opposite side is omitted for the sake of clarity). When the pedal is stepped on, the pedaling force of the pedal is transmitted to the hook fixed to the second pressing plate via the power transmission wire, and the second pressing plate is lowered so as to be pulled toward the rotary cutter.
The second pressing means may be hydraulically operated in the same manner as the first pressing means. The configuration at that time is the same as described above. Further, the first pressing means and the second pressing means may cooperate so as to operate simultaneously by the act of stepping on one pedal.
The shredder 1 of the present invention is a conventional shredder having a shredder body in which a rotary cutter 110 is built in an upper part of a shredded material storage box 400 for collecting fine fragments. A hopper with a built-in means is added. Accordingly, the basic configuration of the shredder body is the same as that of a conventionally known one. Below, the preferable aspect of a shredder main body is demonstrated.
The shredder body 100 includes two sets of rotary cutters 110 that are driven by a motor (not shown). The two sets of rotary cutters are installed so that a plurality of disc blades overlap each other with a spacing of 2 to 4 mm on each spindle. The disk blade rotates so as to entrap the waste plastic that has been put in between. It should be noted that the two sets of rotary cutters can be rotated in the reverse direction as described above in order to easily remove plastic debris caught in the rotary cutter.
The rotary cutter may have a slightly larger disk blade shape located at both ends and near the center, or may have a long claw. In this way, the waste plastic can be more reliably involved.
The bottle cap is made of a hard material that is different from the bottle body. Such a cap is difficult to bite into the shredder or overloads the rotary cutter. Therefore, in FIG. 3, a PET bottle cap cutting mechanism 300 is provided in the hopper, and the cut cap is collected into another storage box without passing through the rotary cutter. The cap cutting mechanism is arranged in the vicinity of the wall of the side surface 203 of the hopper so that the two cutters 310 with the blades facing upward are in a square shape and perpendicular to the neck axis of the plastic bottle. When the second pressing means presses the plastic bottle downward, the neck of the plastic bottle is cut off together with the cap by the cutter.
In FIG. 4, the cap cutting mechanism is realized by a rotary saw blade 320 disposed in a circle in the vicinity of the wall of the hopper side surface 203 with the blade facing upward. In this case, the rotary saw blade is driven by a motor (not shown). When the second pressing means presses the plastic bottle downward, the neck of the plastic bottle is cut off together with the cap by the rotary saw blade. The cap that has been cut off is collected into another storage box without passing through the rotary cutter.
Waste plastic shredded by the rotary cutter falls into a shredded material storage box 400 installed below the rotary cutter.
The shredder according to the present invention accommodates fine pieces in which falling fine pieces are partitioned directly under a rotary cutter in order to enable detailed separation of waste plastics and normal shredding of paper etc. in addition to waste plastic shredding. It is preferable to provide means 410 for sorting in either direction of the box. In FIG. 1, the sorting means is a partition plate 411 whose upper end is fixed so as to be tiltable on the partition at the center of the fine piece container box partitioned into two chambers.
The means for tilting the partition plate is not particularly limited. In FIG. 1, by manually rotating the rotating lever 412 attached to the lower end of the partition plate 411 from the front of the shredder in the left-right direction, the upper end of the partition plate is tilted left and right with the lower end of the partition plate as a fulcrum. Guide the small pieces into one of the storage boxes.
In place of the manual rotation lever, the inclination direction of the partition plate may be automatically changed by a plastic sensor (not shown) detecting plastics and others. This automates the sorting of plastics and others into one side of the fine piece storage box.
The usage state of the shredder of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 5A and 5B. In FIG. 5A, waste plastic A is introduced into the hopper 200. Next, after closing the lid as shown in FIG. 5B, the shredder is turned on. When the pedal 224 is stepped on, the second pressing plate 221 that is the second pressing means 220 descends toward the rotary cutter 110. When the waste plastic is quite thick like an instant seat cup, the pedal 214 is stepped to tilt the first pressing plate 212 as the first pressing means 210 toward the fixed plate 211. By these operations, the waste plastic A is fed into the rotary cutter 110 while being pressed flat without being lifted. Thereafter, the fragments cut into strips by the rotary cutter are guided to the partition plate 411 and collected in the one storage box 400.
