Description
工業的状況では、工業的及び化学的プロセスの目録などをモニタし、制御するために制御システムが使用される。通常、制御システムは、工業プロセス中の主要な場所に分散し、多量のフィールド装置を使用してそのような機能を実行する。フィールド装置は、様々な異なる施設で動作してもよい。プロセス施設の例として、石油、製薬、化学、パルプ及びその他のプロセス施設が含まれる。これらのフィールド装置は、制御室内の制御回路に通信可能に結合される。
図1は、本発明の実施形態に係る外部バッテリパック12に結合された無線フィールド装置10の正面図である。フィールド装置10は一般的に、プロセスの設置場所に近接して配設可能なセンサモジュール14を含む。センサモジュール14内部に配置又は結合された1以上のセンサは、プロセスに応じた電気的な指標を提供する。センサーの例としては、絶対圧、ゲージ圧、及び/又は差圧センサだけでなく、温度センサや他の適当な装置が含まれる。センサモジュール14は、1以上のセンサから受信した電気信号を、他の装置に伝達可能な信号に処理するか、又はそうでなければ変換する電子部品を含む電子コンパートメント16に結合される。電子コンパートメント16は一般的に、他の装置とアンテナ18を介して通信する無線通信回路のような通信回路を含む。コンパートメント16内の通信回路は、アンテナ18を使用して、ゲートウェイ装置と、又はゲートウェイ装置と相互作用するようにフィールド装置10及びゲートウェイ装置の間に配置された他のフィールド装置と通信できる。無線フィールド装置は一般的に知られているが、市販の無線フィールド装置の一例として、ミネソタ州チャナッセンのエマーソンプロセスマネージメントから販売されている商品名称3051Sワイヤレスがある。フィールド装置10は、“メッシュ”ネットワークと呼ばれるプロセス施設に配置された数あるフィールド装置の中の一つである。
Claims (16)
- モジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリにより電力供給されるローカル電源無線送信機を含むフィールド装置の導管にネジ結合するように構成された第1端部を有するリジッド導管アダプタと、
前記リジッド導管アダプタの第2端部に結合し、前記リジッド導管アダプタに物理的に支持されたハウジングであって、内部を有するハウジングと、
前記ハウジング内に配置された少なくとも一つの非充電式バッテリと、
本質安全の安全限界以下に電流を制限するように動作可能であり、前記少なくとも一つの非充電式バッテリに結合された本質安全な回路であって、電気接続部によって前記リジッド導管アダプタと接続されている、本質安全な回路と、
を備えたモジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記ハウジングは、プレート及び一緒に結合されたエンクロージャを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のモジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記プレートと前記エンクロージャとは互いに着脱可能に結合された、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のモジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記ハウジングの内部は、ポッティング化合物で充填された、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のモジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記ハウジングはさらに、前記リジッド導管アダプタの外側表面上を通過可能な寸法の金属フランジを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載のモジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記金属フランジを前記リジッド導管アダプタに固着するように構成された固着部材をさらに含む、

ことを特徴とする請求項11に記載のモジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記少なくとも一つの非充電式バッテリは、ハウジング内に配置された複数の非充電式バッテリを含む、
ことを特徴とする請求項12に記載のモジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記複数のバッテリは交換可能である、
ことを特徴とする請求項13に記載のモジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリ。 - リジッド導管アダプタは金属で形成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のモジュール式の本質安全バッテリモジュールアセンブリ。 - 前記少なくとも一つの非充電式バッテリが、前記ハウジング内で電気回路に電気的に結合し、
