Claims (57)
- 縦軸を有して複数プリーツ内に形成されるコア不織布繊維層を含む繊維パッドであり、前記プリーツが前記縦軸を横切る方向に延びて、コア不織布繊維層の対向する上面と底面を形成し、
前記コア不織布繊維層が、線密度が不均一でありかつ繊維長が不均一である消費者使用後のカーペット繊維を含み、消費者使用後のカーペット繊維の少なくとも一部がプリーツ内の対向する上面と底面の間を前記縦軸を横切る方向に延び、
プリーツの少なくとも1つが複数の雄プリーツ要素を含み、
複数の雄プリーツ要素の第一部分が、コア不織布繊維層の縦軸に沿って複数の雄プリーツ要素の第二部分からずらされる、
繊維パッド。 - 4.5ポンド/立方フィート(72.08kg/立方メートル)超の容積測定の密度をさらに含む、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 6.0ポンド/立方フィート(96.11kg/立方メートル)超の容積測定の密度をさらに含む、請求項1の繊維パッド。

- 前記コア不織布繊維層が消費者使用後のカーペット繊維を70重量%〜90重量%含む、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 前記コア不織布繊維層が消費者使用後のカーペット繊維を75重量%〜85重量%含む、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 前記プリーツ状不織布繊維層が複数の低融点結合繊維をさらに含む、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 前記プリーツ状不織布繊維層が低融点結合繊維を5重量%〜45重量%含む、請求項11の繊維パッド。
- 前記コア不織布繊維層が少なくとも1つの不純物を含む、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 前記少なくとも1つの不純物が少なくとも1つの汚染物質、砂、無機充填材、および廃材を含む、請求項13の繊維パッド。
- プリーツ状コア不織布繊維層の寸法安定性を高める手法の少なくとも1つをさらに含む、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 前記寸法安定性を高める手法が少なくとも2つの隣接プリーツの結合を含む、請求項15の繊維パッド。
- 前記少なくとも2つの隣接プリーツが機械的結合している、請求項16の繊維パッド。

- 前記寸法安定性を高める手法がプリーツ状コア不織布層面へ結合した結合層を含む、請求項15の繊維パッド。
- 前記結合層が、プリーツ状コア不織布繊維層の上面に結合する、請求項21の繊維パッド。
- 前記結合層が、プリーツ状コア不織布繊維層の底面に結合する、請求項21の繊維パッド。
- 前記結合層が膜を含む、請求項21の繊維パッド。
- 前記結合層が不織布繊維層を含む、請求項21の繊維パッド。
- 前記消費者使用後のカーペット繊維が消毒されている、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 複数プリーツがそれぞれ均一なプリーツ高を含む、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 複数プリーツの少なくとも1つが第一のプリーツ高を含み、複数プリーツの少なくとも1つが前記第一のプリーツ高と異なる第二プリーツ高を含む、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 前記第一のプリーツ高を有するプリーツの少なくとも1つが第二の異なるプリーツ高を有するプリーツの少なくとも1つと隣接している、請求項28の繊維パッド。
- 前記コア不織布繊維層が第一側端および対向する第二側端を含み、プリーツの少なくとも1つが第一側端から第二側端に連続的に延びる、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 前記複数の雄プリーツの第一部分が複数の雄プリーツの第二部分と互いに入り込む、請求項1の繊維パッド。
- 以下を含むプリーツ状繊維パッドを産生する方法であり、
ある平面内に閉じ込められ、縦軸を有するコア不織布繊維層を提供することであって、前記コア不織布繊維層が線密度が不均一でありかつ繊維長が不均一である消費者使用後のカーペット繊維を含むこと;ならびに
コア不織布繊維層を折り畳み、前記縦軸を横断して延びる複数プリーツからなるプリーツ状コア不織布繊維パッドを提供することであって、前記プリーツがプリーツ状コア不織布繊維層の対向する上面と底面を形成すること、
を含み、
プリーツの少なくとも1つが複数の雄プリーツ要素を含み、
複数の雄プリーツ要素の第一部分が、コア不織布繊維層の縦軸に沿って複数の雄プリーツ要素の第二部分からずらされる、
プリーツ状繊維パッドを産生する方法。 - コア不織布層を折り畳む前、消費者使用後のカーペット繊維の少なくとも一部が縦軸と平行に延びる、請求項32の方法。
- コア不織布繊維層を折り畳んだ後、消費者使用後のカーペット繊維の少なくとも一部が対向する上面と底面の間で前記縦軸を横切る方向に延びる、請求項32の方法。
- プリーツ状コア不織布繊維層の寸法安定性を高める手法を提供することをさらに含む、請求項32の方法。
- 前記提供する手法が少なくとも2つの隣接プリーツの結合を含む、請求項35の方法。
